*WOAHH, TIME SKIP TO PAST JAKE IN THE FUTURE*
After an awkward helicopter ride with Norm, the scary Na'vi woman, the small child that called him dad and a random scientist, jake was very close to having a full on meltdown.
The small child kept glancing at him and then looking away as soon as he looked back, it was like she was scared of him.
As for Norm, he attempted to make conversation the entire way there which not only made the entire thing even more awkward, also stopped jake from being able to think clearly, which he very much wanted to do.
Finally, they reached hells gate and Jake practically jumped out of the Samson, stumbling slightly on the floor before righting himself and looking around.
"Alright, I gonna explain some of this on the way, its gonna be confusing," Norm said, eyebrows slightly raised, and gestured for Jake and the others to follow him inside.
"Right, so I'm not quite sure how but you're in the future."
Jake stopped.
"I'm sorry, WHAT?"
"Calm down, everything will be fine," Norm gave Neytiri a look, "I think."
"YOU THINK?!" Jake stepped forward a d grabbed Norm by the shoulders, "DUDE I DONT KNOW WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON AND IM TRYNA BE CALM AND ALL THAT SHIT BUT IM FUCKING TERIFIED SO U BETTA FUCKIN KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS SHIT"
He panted.
Norm, eyes wide, extracted himself from Jakes grip and took a step back, "Man, I have no clue so work with me here."
There was a pause.
Jake took a deep breath
He nodded.
"Okay."
Norm nodded slowly and began walking again, explaining how his future body was probably in the past and was probably equally as confused.
"Wait, what's happened to the human me then?" Jake asked. "Uh- so, future you, kinda transfered your consciousness over to the avatar body fully- like, permanently."
Jakes eyes widened, "WHAT?"
"STOP SHOUTING," Norm yelled, "Your giving me a headache."
Jake scoffed, "What about my past human body, how the hell does that work then, am I controlling this from the past or what?"
Norm sighed, "I have no clue- oh look, we're here." The door opened to reveal the medbay with a few confused looking medics standing awkwardly around the room.
Norm went to go set up a few in the machines, "Right, if you go and sit on that bed there, I'm just gonna check some stuf."
Jake walked over to the bed and sat down on it, his avatar was so big it felt like sitting on a children's stool.
"Oh and you cannot forget this." Norm walked over carrying a mask, "these body's can breathe oxygen, but only for so long until they shut down."
Jake glanced down at the mask, took it and took a deep breath of the air inside. His head cleared instantly, he hadn't even realised it was a bit foggy.
The scary woman sat down next to him, holding the small child he was apparently a parent to, (why the hell would future him fuck an alien?) The child looked uk at him with something close to fear in her eyes, he smiled awkwardly and looked away.
The woman spoke up, "It will be okay, ma jake, the Jake I know will be just fine in the past, maybe he'll turn this war into our favour.
Jale didnt respond, he just sat there in silence, letting her talk about the 'Metkayina', which was apparently who they were staying with.
She had just gotten onto how future him and been pulled off of a Skimwing the first time he tried riding one when Norm walked over with a bunch of fancy medical equipment and a look that meant busines.
"Right, im just gonna take your blood, make sure nothings changed to drastically- hey, have another puff on that makes buddy, your looking a bit grey."
Jake did what he was told and yet again, his head cleared.
The needle was stuck in his arm and taken out, Norm out the blood on a tray under a microscope and looked at it, "Thank god, theres no bacteria or anything that you couldve picked up in your blood."
"Uh, great."
Norm ran a bunch more tests and everything came back fine, there's was nothing wrong with him except for being 16 years in the future.
Now what the hell should they do next?
