Chapter Text

Crowley had called a very sudden meeting. Nearly everyone was confused as to what was going on since there were no housewarden meetings. It seemed like one, though, since every housewarden besides Kalim had already arrived. Plus, in some miracle, somehow Idia and Malleus were both there in person.

Vil sighed, “It’s not like Kalim to be so late.” He looked down at his painted nails in complete boredom.

“It really isn’t,” Riddle agreed.

“Perhaps he got caught up in something important?” Azul suggested.

Riddle crossed his arms. “The headmage called us here. How is that not important? He’s a housewarden, so he should have better priorities.”

“Oh, relax, you three,” Leona yawned. “That crow ain’t even here either.” He sat down on the floor against the wall before closing his eyes.

“Leona, don’t you dare take a nap right now!” Vil scolded, finally looking up from his nails.

“Be quiet. I can’t sleep with all your bullshit,” Leona said.

Idia still stood in the dark corner, trying not to draw attention to himself. “Ugh, I’m gonna get a game over from listening to these normies,” he muttered under his breath.

Malleus somehow managed to hear him and tilted his head slightly. “Are you alright, Shroud?”

Idia looked startled that anyone heard his complaints. “Oh, uh, I didn’t think an SSR rare spawn like you would hear me.”

The door suddenly opened, and everyone turned to look, expecting Crowley or Kalim. Instead, a brunette with deep brown skin stood in the doorway, looking extremely annoyed. He scanned the room. “Where is Crowley when he’s the one who called this damn meeting?”

Azul rushed over to him. “Jamil!” He exclaimed. “I didn’t think you’d be here.”

“Nor did I,” Jamil admitted.

“Are you filling in for Kalim?” Azul asked.

“No,” Jamil shook his head. “For some reason, he called for me.”

“That’s quite odd,” Riddle interrupted.

“I certainly don’t mind,” Azul grinned.

Vil put his hand over his face. “Can you please not publicly simp for Jamil, Azul?”

“Like your boyfriend doesn’t do the same,” Azul countered.

“Rook is Rook. I cannot control him.”

Leona opened one green eye. “Well, that certainly explains why he won’t stop harassing me and my dormmates.”

“He used to be in that dorm,” Vil reminded him. “You can’t handle your old dormmate now?”

“Nobody liked him then either.” Leona closed his eye again.

“Since Crowley clearly isn’t here, shouldn’t we try to figure out why he even called us here?” Jamil suggested.

Azul nodded. “You’re so right, Jamil,” he praised.

Idia put his hood up. “Can’t we all just go back to our rooms?”

“No, Idia, we cannot,” Vil told him.

“Bunch of noobs.”

Azul spotted a book out on a nearby table and walked over to it. “Crowley left this out for some reason,” he observed.

Riddle walked over to the table and peered down at the book. “Huh, odd.”

“It’s just a book,” Leona’s tone was completely uninterested. “Who cares?”

All of a sudden, the book emitted a blinding light. It lasted only a few seconds before fading away.

“What the hell was that?” Leona demanded, now standing.

“We didn’t do anything,” Riddle told him.

He started heading towards the door. “Well, I’m gonna fuck off before I actually go blind.”

“As much as I hate to agree with Leona, I’m also leaving. Crowley isn’t even here,” Vil said.

Idia stood and grinned. “Let’s go, gg gang. We get to leave.”
