In the video, Bai Jiamu is kneeling in front of a very cranky and angry Lu Yizhan. The camera captures both in a wide-angle shot. The kitchen is now very messy, hugely contrasting its state pre-film. The video then cuts right to when it’s noticeably brighter and shows a newly showered Bai Jiamu after a short black screen transition.

Bai Jiamu lets out an agonized shout, holding his head between both of his hands.
“Spades!” He yells loudly. “You….you—”
In his hand was his phone. Originally, what was displayed on the screen was the video he uploaded not too long ago, a vlog that he worked hard editing all night. He had just been looking at the comments and at the rising view counts when a friend sent him a link to a short video instead.
It was…an edited screen record of some player earlier that day. It focused on the stunt that Xie Ta pulled in the game, broadcasted live to all servers that were active.
“What are you yelling for?” Bai Yi scrunches his eyebrows, looking at his nephew.
“That Spades, he’s stealing all my views!”
“What views?”
“From our vlog!”
Bai Yi: “???”
“How is he stealing your views? That guy doesn’t even know how to edit his own videos.”
“Because everyone was more interested in that announcement he broadcasted to everyone!”
There’s naturally a lot of people interested in whatever their guild, Killer Sequence, is up to. That’s why whenever Bai Jiamu posts something in their social media, they usually generate a lot of views.
But what happened this time, instead, was something else.
See, there are two things that the players of [Divine Path] love: Top players and gossip.
Unfortunately for Bai Jiamu, his vlog only covers one of those two things. As for the sudden move that Xie Ta did…
Yeah, it was inevitable that more people would be interested in it.
“You can’t yell at Spades,” Bai Yi told him.
Why not!!! Even if that guy is extremely good at playing, he’s still human! He exists in the same physical worldly realm as him—
“Judge, that guy, took him away to nag at him.”

They stare at each other for a while, an understanding passing between them. Who knows if this was the effect of a bond between nephew and uncle, or between members suffering under the same guild.

Only a truly crazy person would willingly go into a room when Lu Yizhan started nagging at someone. According to their record, Xie Ta, the only person who could completely zone out all that, was the only person who could walk away with a sane mind.

Xie Ta paused slightly from his rhythmic movements of decimating the enemies with his equipped whip, the only indication that he heard what was told to him at all. He glances briefly at his second monitor, where his chat box was set to slow mode so that the mods—not him, naturally—will be able to read what the viewers were saying.
He readjusts his eyes back to the game without any response.

In the second screen that Lu Yizhan has up, he could see his QQ being spammed with messages from Xie Ta’s mod team. From what he could see, most of it was just a constant stream of crying emojis.
He closes his eyes, trying his best to urge away the headache that was starting to form again, and pushes his chair back slightly so he can look at his teammate that was still focusing on whatever was going on in his side.
“They’re asking you why you sent that megaphone.”
Maybe it was because he just got out of a nagging session, but Xie Ta finally acknowledged what he was ignoring the moment that Lu Yizhan properly pointed it out to him. He lets out an “Oh”, all the while the latter’s message history was now full of people sending praying emojis and thanking him for existing.
Actually, it was fine for him to not answer if he didn’t want to. However, when it was a clear path to more views laid out for them, how could anyone not feel a sense of loss at how it was completely ignored?
Xie Ta adopted a thoughtful look, but his movements did not lessen nor did his APM drop at all. “It is what I said,” he says seriously. “Tell me if you see someone who likes money a lot and pays attention to the lore. He is also a top player.”
His team pretended they couldn't hear what he was talking about.
What kind of description is that, ah? Just from the first description, it barely crossed out any options! That could be anyone!
And what’s that? Pays attention to the lore? Isn’t it a requirement to pay attention to the story in order to clear the instances in [Divine Path]?!
…Ehem.
For most players, at least. To be more specific, it was the truth for anyone that isn’t Spades.
“But why are you looking for that person, Spades?” Bai Yi asks curiously. “This is the first time you’re causing a ruckus on the servers.”
Lu Yizhan knew the reason and only buried his face in his hands.
Xie Ta frowns at the question.
“I’m looking for him.”
…What kind of unlucky person drew the ire of this monstrous guy now?

He reads through the responses of his viewers getting fired up with helping him look for the person he described. After all, it was rare that someone like him, who might as well really be the god in the game, would ask his community for help.
He nods solemnly.
“Good.”
He kills the rest of the monsters trying to squeeze themselves inside the room where the entire team was inside. Then, he controls his character to blast past the doors and head further inside. He hears Lu Yizhan calling after him to come back and to not run off, but a quick glance at his minimap to check their locations made Xie Ta decide that he’s already too far away to turn back now.

Xie Ta quickly kills the mid-level boss in the floor just above the top one, and makes his way to the [Office], where he suspects the final boss was. He pressed tab a few more times as well to check how far away everyone else was from him, before using the [sit] emote while waiting.
He can’t enter without the key, anyway. Since he cleared all the monsters, it should be easy for the others to catch up to him.

“God spades, did you hear about the female newbie who’s rapidly climbing up ranks?”
He reads the message that appeared on his other screen and tilts his head slightly. For a moment, he seemed to be considering the question, but then his eyes flickered back to what was happening in the game, clearly not very interested.
“No.”
The answer was spoken in a nonchalant, almost uncaring manner. Xie Ta typically doesn’t pay much attention to any other players anyway apart from those that his teammates would mention while they were talking to each other.
That’s why he didn’t realize it.
That his careless response would blow up as something of a bigger issue.
[Question] God Spades’ response to the question about Newbie 86? Wasn’t it a bit…
God Spades has been quite proactive in the game lately with that bounty, and now that reaction. Wasn’t it a little strange?
