''Come on, we're gonna be late for school!''
Lumine yelled at her brother from downstairs. It was their first day at the new school, Lumine had woken up early (unlike Aether) and had the time to make pancakes as her breakfast, her bag already packed and sitting next to the front door of their small house. She saw Aether slowly walk down the stairs, clearly still half asleep, his hair was very messy but at least he was dressed up so that was a good start.
''We're gonna be late, dummy! I already had time to eat breakfast, you'll have to skip. We don't have time'' She started walking towards the stairs and looked back at him, ''I'm all ready to leave so just go brush your hair and i'll go make your bag'' Lumine said while walking up the stairs.
Aether, clearly too tired to answer, walked to the bathroom at a slow pace and started brushing his hair, trying to detangle it as much as he could then braiding it neatly with practiced ease.
Lumine came back right when he walked out of the bathroom and put his bag down near her own. She put on her white and yellow shoes and took her bag, sliding one strap on her left shoulder.
Aether soon joined her, following her when she got out of the house. They both walked in silence to the bus stop. The twins reached it shortly, Aether thinking they were lucky to live close to it.
Seeing as the bus would not arrive too fast, Lumine took out her phone and chatted with their childhood best friend, Amber, who was supposed to guide them around the school when they arrived.
Aether zoned out, staring at the floor, only when he heard the sound of the bus arriving did he snap out of his reverie, Lumine already waiting for it to stop. They both walked in, choosing a seat in the back, only a few people were there, leaving the bus mostly empty so they had the liberty of choosing where to sit.
