Summary:

Bruce asks Dick an important question.

Notes:

Dick liking Green Lantern is a reference to the 2004 cartoon The Batman, where he gets super excited on meeting him. This also bears some similarity to the Wayne Family Adventures episode "Favoritism." I do not own either, nor do I own any part of the Batman, Justice League, or DC franchises. Also influenced by a commercial someone told me about involving an athlete once, which I also do not own.

Overshadowed

          “Who’s your favorite member of the Justice League?” Bruce asked.

            “Superman!” Dick replied instantly.

            Bruce paused, taking in this information. “And who’s after him?”

            Dick thought for a moment. “Mm – Zatanna!”

            “Okay, but who’s after her?” Bruce asked.

            “Green Lantern!”

            “And after him?”

            Dick thought once more. “Flash!”

            “And after him?”

            “Wonder Woman!”

            “And after her?”

            “Black Canary?”

            “And after her?” Bruce said, sounding desperate at this point.

            Dick thought a little more. “Red Tornado?”

            Bruce let out a growl of frustration and stalked out of the room. Standing in the doorway as he passed, Alfred smiled faintly as he saw the mischievous grin on Dick’s face.
