Chapter Text
Parrot's eyes fluttered open. His body was stiff and compressed, the wings on his back which were usually unclipped and vibrant with colors, were now dull and cut short. Long enough for them to still look good, but short enough to where he couldn't fly long distances.
Slowly sitting up, Parrot noticed the obsidian walls surrounding him, there was no exit, yet light filled the room with a soft orange glow. Now fully standing, Parrot slowly walked towards the edge of the cylindrical pillar he had woken up on. Looking off the edge, Parrot noticed he was suspended above a pool of lava that surrounded the entire pillar.
With a deep sigh Parrot took his place back in the center of the obsidian circle. He started thinking about what led him to this position, how he'd spent weeks looking for the person who killed Wifies. Wifies, the person he cared about most on the server, how he'd stay up at night thinking of new ways to catch this so called Director and get revenge. He did all this only to be standing out in the cold face to face with the Director and be told that all his friends that were killed in the process of looking for the so called "Director" was by Wifies himself.
Tears slowly ran down Parrot's face, his wings came up to cover his face but he still felt bare with his wings being cut short. Wifies probably cut them since he barely let anyone else touch them when they were still... Friends? Should Parrot even consider Wifies as his friend anymore? Even though the thought of what Wifies had done hurt like hell, the bird couldn't bring himself to hate Wifies. He hated the Director, not Wifies.
Loud creaking filled the room and Parrot immediately stiffened, his wings puffing up slightly as he looked around frantically. He located the source and watched as the Director stood in the doorway on the other side of the ledge.
The sound of armor clanking together grew louder as the Director now stood in front of Parrot. The tension was suffocating Parrot, his chest was rising and falling quickly as he examined the figure in front of him. He had so many things to say, so many questions yet nothing came out.
"Look Parrot, I know it's hard for you to understand what's happening right now, but please, trust me. All I want to do is keep you safe." The monotone robotic voice spoke softly.
Parrot could almost laugh at how pathetic the Director was to hide his identity even though he already knew who he was. They looked at each other for a while, Parrot stared at the invis particles floating around the Director's face.
"See you later, Parrot." The Director said while turning to walk away, but only after he threw some bread at Parrot. "Make sure you eat."
And with that, the Director was soon gone and the cell fell silent once more except for the occasional popping from the lava. Parrot stared at the bread like it was mocking him, his body slightly relaxing now that the invis player was gone.
"See you later, Wifies." Parrot whispered to himself before coving himself back up with his wings.
