Work Text:
I'm Apollo Justice, and I'm doing fine.
I've repeated those words until I thought I believed them.
But who am I kidding? This pain is mine to carry.
No matter who loud I scream, the pain just won't go away that easily.
I learnt that the hard way.
No matter how hard I tried.
"Apollo Justice is doing fine!"
No matter how much I said that.
I told Clay that he would be fine if he yelled those words it would get better eventually.
Maybe it worked for him? I'm not sure.
But I don't think it really worked for me.
Oh Clay.
Clay Clay Clay Clay Clay.
His name always comes to my mind even when I don't want to think about him.
Clay was my star, the one that shined so bright even in the dark.
Even when everything went wrong, just staying by his side was enough.
I wish he was here, with me. I wish he never left.
And that's how the pain began, with lost and probably nothing more.
