and you, kissed my neck, made our paths intersect 'til the two lines formed a, circle

Summary:

Matt finds a personal note from Trey from years ago.

Notes:

title & fic inspired by Olivia Rodrigo's new song "purple" from her 3rd studio album "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love"
(cigarette smoke was also inspo for this fic too) ♡

Both songs make me think of them (even though purple is my bestfriend and I's song cause our favorite coloris literally purple)

Work Text:

Matt was digging through a pile of junk sifting through so much old shit that needed to be thrown out, when he comes across a small box, full of folded up papers and ones that were never folded, words covered those pages, and Matt guessed the folded up papers had words written.

He picked up one of the folded pieces of paper, right off the top, folded up in fourths.

He unfolds it (it's the only noise in his and Trey's basement).

He begins to read;

"Matt had been looking at me all night like he wanted to fuck me into the mattress. It made my fingers twitch, and dance along the hem of shirt which I played with to keep my breath steady.

After everyone had left our party, it was just Matt and I.

I retreated to our bedroom to changd into more comfortable clothes, Matt followed (I wasn't surprised).

I changed quickly, and was going to head back down stairs, to grab something to drink, and maybe play a video game or two, but when I turned around to walk out our bedroom, Matt was standing in the doorway, arms crossed, leaning against the right side of the frame with the right side of his body; he wasn't gonna move.

I looked at him, and he looked right ack at me, and up and down.

I plopped my ass onto the end of the bed, and Matt came over in a stride, doing the same.

We looked at eachother, my eyes darting from his left eye to the right, I kept on doing that.

Until Matt leaned in.

He kissed me right on the lips, just one peck.

However, he didn't stay up for long. He moved down to my neck, kissing it, hand on the side of my face, thumb on cheekbone.

His kisses to my neck felt like stains to a cloth; I was going to be feeling them 'til I washed my skin, but, even then, there still might be a light/faded stain.

All I could do was sit there, and let him. Oh. And smell him.

He smelled like cigarette smoke; heavy enough to love, light enough to want more, to be stronger. I always love when he smells like that, since I can't smoke myself, I'm content taking it second hand, and honestly, it's better second had anyway.

Matt murmured, and I can never hear whatever he says/said, but, he was probably say how good I was and how handsome I was (because he does that alot).

We had sex, and, I'd write it down, but, I'm too lazy right now, maybe later."

Matt smiles to himself. He sets the paper beside him, and picks up another one . . . .
