Chapter 1: Selozar's Arrival

Chapter Text

It was peaceful on the DSMP server— for Ranboo, specifically. They had managed to lay low enough to stay out of conflict, chilling at their base to do some idle farming and mining.

“AAAAAHHHH!!!!” A scream descended from the sky above, startling Ranboo from their peaceful activities. It seemed to be getting louder… Ranboo looks up to see what the noise is.

“WATCH OUTT!!!!” The falling figure cried to Ranboo. Ranboo teleports away from the falling person.

Selozar hit the ground with an echoing “BANGGG!!!!” There was now a crater in Ranboo’s lawn where the Petramian had landed. Ranboo goes over to investigate him.

“Hello?” they say with confusion

“Ah… Hi,” Selozar responded meekly, still a bit dazed. “Where am I?”

“Well, you’re in my backyard right now… Who are you?”

“Who are you?” Selozar responded harshly, but the rudeness didn’t feel genuine.

“You're on my property, rock guy.”

“I suppose I am... Well, I’m Selozar. Pleased to meet you,” Selozar said, standing up and offering his hand for a handshake. Ranboo accepts the handshake cautiously.

“I'm Ranboo, and this is Dream’s server. There are many other people here as well, but they’re probably busy blowing up another country.”

“Oh. You have a lot of wars around here, too?”

“Many.”

Selozar grins, eager that he can find something to converse about. “There are tons of wars and fights where I’m from.”

“Yeah, there are a lot here all the time. Though, I usually don’t participate in them,” Ranboo explains.

“I think I’ve started a few wars, honestly. I’m pretty much the main leader in the rebellion against my home nation, so I’ve most likely been the start of some conflicts,” Selozar says, his tone incompatible with such dark subjects.

“Where are you from? You kind of just fell out of the sky.” Ranboo asks.

“Petramia— a nation in Robloxia.”

“Well, how did you get here?”

“I’m not sure… Although, I wouldn’t doubt it if the emperor used some dimension portal to send me away.”

“We should probably go inside. If the others see you, they probably won't react well.” Ranboo says, suddenly aware of the other SMP members. They lead him into the house.

“Who are these others that you speak of?” Selozar asked, following behind them.

“Well, there's a lot, but the main people around me would be: Tubbo, my husband and the president of a country right now; Dream, the main problem in here; Tommy, one of the people who causes wars--- I personally don't like him and his stupid discs; then, there's Ghostbur, he's pretty nice and doesn't do much harm—”

“Why is he a ghost?” Selozar interrupts rudely, really just trying to get Ranboo to slow down.

“So... he used to be alive, and was the one who discovered L’Manburg. But, tensions arose and one thing led to another. Wilbur blew L’Manburg up, and in the process of doing so, lost his last life. Now, he's Ghostbur: a shell of Wilbur— but thankfully much less harmful,” Ranboo clarified.

“Oh. You don’t have infinite reviving technology here?” Selozar asked, cocking his head to the side a bit.

“We all have three lives. When all those lives are lost, you become a ghost— at least that's what I think happens, because the only ghost I've seen is Ghostbur. Though, other people have actually stayed dead,” Ranboo explains to Selozar.

“That’s nice, I guess.”

“So are you, like, made of rock or something?” Ranboo asks.

“Obsidian, to be precise,” Selozar said, holding out his arm for Ranboo to feel. Ranboo looks at the arm but doesn't touch it.

Unfortunately for Selozar, Tubbo enters the house--- much earlier than what Ranboo was anticipating.

“Who are you?!” Tubbo yells, drawing his axe: he was not expecting any guests. A scythe manifests in Selozar’s hands.

“Tubbo, this is Selozar, he fell from the sky. Selozar, this is Tubbo, I told you about him before. There's no need to fight.” Ranboo says, trying to calm them both down.

“RANBOO! You cannot keep letting random people into our house,” Tubbo scolds. "He could be a threat!"

"He just got here, he has no gear, Tubbo," Ranboo says.

Tubbo puts his axe away reluctantly. Selozar keeps his scythe drawn, tightly holding it to his torso.

“Well, what even are you, Selozar?” Tubbo asks venomously, still on edge.

“A Petramian... Do you, ah, want me to leave? I can tell I’m not exactly welcome here.”

“Actually, yes. I don't even know why you're here in the first place, and I need to think right now,” Tubbo says after taking a deep breath. “Ranboo, please escort him out.”
