Work Text:
Brannah Cady Brando was a cheerleader. She wasn't a lesbian. No way. She liked making out with girls every now and then — when she was drunk at parties and a friend would say her boyfriend liked to watch it, which she found disgusting —, and so what? That didn't exactly make her a lesbo. Everybody thought girls were cute, everybody stared at their friends in the locker room.
Well, that was what Brannah thought until her second year of high school. What happened in her second year, you ask? Wiloh Davis Wilson happened.
“Did you heard?” Jennie said beside her.
She was smoking behind the benches of the football field with the rest of the cheer team. What could Brannah say about them? Fucking bitches.
“What?” Sunny annoyingly popped her stupid bubblegum before replying.
“That freak joined the female basketball team.”
Brannah could just guess who they were about to gossip about — and it made her sick in the stomach.
“Oh, my God, I know!” Kaitlyn said on Brannah's other side. “That Wiloh girl!”
“‘Guess she got tired of the music club for lesbians.” Jennie giggled meaningly.
“If she thinks we're cheering for her team, she's dead wrong.” Sunny chewed on her gum like a cow grazing.
“That queer only started doing sports to see girls naked, let's be real.” Kaitlyn dragged on her cigarette. “That's the closest to another woman's body that loser will ever get.” She nudged Brannah's shoulder. “What do you think, Bran?”
“I think she's nice.” Bran decided, for once, to speak her mind.
“Wait, she's your neighbor, isn't she?” Jennie asked.
“Oh, my God, that's disgusting! Do you know if your rooms face each other? I bet she looks inside your room.” Sunny kept making a disgusting wet sound while chewing that fucking gum.
God bless, Bran almost said, but decided to keep that to herself.
“I think you guys are too harsh on her.” She decided to reply instead.
Kaitlyn coughed her cigarette — in surprise, Bran guessed.
“You think we're being harsh on that weirdo?”
“Come on, Bran!” Jennie giggled sweetly and innocently, but Bran hadn't been buying that for a long time. “Even her name is weird as fuck! She's called Willow but spelled by an illiterate.”
“And you're a fucking smartass, aren't you, Jennie? How many books did you read this year?” Even her cigarette was tasting like shit because of that whole talk. She threw it on the floor and stepped on it. “I'll be clever, count the gossip magazines.”
“Why are you being such a bitch lately, Brannah?” Kaitlyn sounded unphased, while Sunny had even stopped her annoying chewing.
“Maybe I learned it from you guys.”
“Maybe you're taking too many rides home with that lesbo.” She also threw her cigarette on the floor.
Bran couldn't help but stare at the cigarette butts on the floor beside stepped disgusting chewing gum, plastic cups, and some used condoms here and there. That place was disgusting — Bran herself felt disgusted for letting her friend group be a gathering of that bulshit.
When she looked up, though, right at the parking lot, she saw Wiloh's car. Her old faded red pickup waited right there — she could see Wil's silhouette on the driver seat.
“Whatever you say, Kait.” She grabbed her bag through the hole on the bench. “I'm going home. Enjoy being fucking bitches over here.” She walked towards the pickup — she didn't even need to look back to know the looks the girls were giving her. Honestly, she couldn't care less — normal girls can be friends with lesbians, that's the image she's passing.
Once she entered the car, the first thing she noticed was Wil's new haircut. It was shorter — it did hurt to see all those curls she loved so much almost completely gone. There were curls though, but not the long locks that would fall over her shoulder and modestly cover chest when she was naked…
Normal girl, for God's sake, Brannah. Be a normal girl.
“This is new.” She tried to clear her throat and push away those thoughts, it was too early for that stuff. She didn't even think before her hand was reaching out to play with the short hair on the nape of Wil's head.
The new haircut was good. It fit Wil's face gracefully. She looked mostly like an angel on the walls of a church with those beautiful curls framing her pale skin.
“It was bothering me to play and someone stuck chewing gum to my hair yesterday.” Wil smiled awkwardly.
Bran was about to have a serious talk with Ms. Grazing Cow.
“It's kind of a mullet, right?”
Wil smiled — God, if she said that smile didn't make her wet she would be lying.
“Looks better to pull.” Bran winked.
Wil got so red — way more red than the faded painting of the car for sure — that Bran was afraid she would combust for a second.
“Let's get out of here, you pervert.”
That meant Bran got exactly what she wanted.
And of course exactly what she wanted was to be licking her fingers clean after having them deep inside that girl. That was all a completely normal girl would ever want in life — and she is completely normal on the back of that truck waiting for Wil to calm down.
“How are you so good at this?” Wil was panting — Bran couldn't be happier by that.
“Lots of practice,” She kissed her neck, just because she could. “And having a hot girl like you to practice on makes it much easier,” Another kiss to her exposed collarbone, near the strap of her bra. “Much easier to just lose myself onto you,” One last kiss was left dangerously near her boobs — restrained by the cute black bra she was wearing — before she stopped her tracks staring at her entire body. “Put on my skirt.”
Wil didn't seem to understand the sudden demand.
“I think I'm way larger than you. I'm gonna ruin it.” Wil sounded concerned.
“I'll leave that shit anyway, just put on my skirt and get on top of me right now.”
Wil did as she was told and the sight made Bran salivate — both North and South.
Having Wiloh straddling her hips wearing nothing but her bra and Brannah's skirt while Brannah herself was only in underwear? It had to be the best sight ever. If heaven existed, this was it.
Maybe she moaned, because Wil laughed. But how could she not moan when Wil was like this? Her small waist — always so covered by baggy shirts — had the waistband of the skirt tight against it. It made Bran want to rip it off her. She could see her slightly toned abs restrained by the skirt.
By “larger” Wil definitely meant hotter and bulkier. Thick thighs, large hips contrasting with her small waist — she came straight out of a magazine. All Bran wanted was to drown herself in her.
“Let me ask you something, Bran.” Wil said, leaning closer — and, God, Bran couldn't look away from her chest. “What’s really getting you going in this? The skirt or the fact that it's your skirt?” She whispered against her neck — Bran thought that if any of them looked down, they would see a puddle.
To be honest, she hadn't stopped to think about it. She just looked at Wil and thought: “fuck, she's gonna look hot in one of those.” But, thinking now, having Wil wearing something that was Bran's made her feel things more than physically — but also physically.
“I, honestly, can't tell which one makes me wetter.” She placed her hands on Wil's hips and couldn't help but really dig her fingers over the skirt.
“You're such a narcissist, have you thought about that?” Wil trailed licks and kisses down Bran's chest. “When you think about me, all you think about is yourself…” She started to suck a bruise on her boob right after she finished her sentence.
Bran didn't even try to hold back her moan.
“You call me a narcissist but look at you doing the same thing.”
Wil didn't pull away, but she looked at her with a raised eyebrow.
“I think you like it.” She held her short hair and pulled at it slightly, just to see what it did — Wil sucked harder. “You love it when I claim you like this…” Her hand fell from her hair to her back, towards the hook of her bra, almost automatically. “With a stupid skirt you're afraid to rip for being too hot.” Just as she said that, Wil stopped straddling her and started to try and set herself between Bran's legs. “And you like to claim me too…” She just played with the hook, with zero intention of undoing it.
Wil, meanly or pettyly, pressed her hand down against her and it made a kind of whimper fall from her mouth as easily as her spit was while she drooled without even meaning to.
Somehow — not by mystery because both of them knew exactly what they were doing — Wil ended up coming twice while Bran hadn't felt the touch of another woman in years… Okay, two days since she was obligated to cheer for two stupid games and couldn't have time alone with Wil — Wil who was breathing heavily and drinking from her water bottle like her life depended on it.
“Breath, girl.” She couldn't help the honest chuckle that escaped through her lips.
When she let go of the bottle, she sighed and sucked in a breath.
“Why are you leaving cheer team?” Her breathing was too unstable and erotic for Bran to register what she said right away.
“What?” She frowned once she really got it.
Did Wil really want to talk about this? Right now? Right when Bran was dying for some relief and to make Wil come a third time?
“Why are you gonna stop cheering?” Her breathing seemed to be stilling, but she was still tired — she always got extremely tired after she came more than once in a short period of time.
“I have better stuff to do.”
Wil raised an eyebrow — always a smartass.
“Like you.” Bran winked.
Wil blushed and looked away.
“You can't leave. It's your last year.”
“What do you have to do with that?” She scoffed. “It's not like you have to care about that stuff. Or about my life. All we do is meet up, fuck, and go back home. You get that, Wiloh?”
Wil looked… hurt. But Bran couldn't bring herself to apologize — she was a normal girl after all.
Did Wil ever even think they could ever be something else? It's not like the thought never crossed Bran's mind, but how could she bring such frustration to her family? What would her mom even think? She couldn't do that.
Wil started to put back on her clothes.
“If that's what you think,” she said as she easily put on her baggy shirt from the school team. “Then we can go back home now.” She put on her glasses — and that made Bran want to take off her clothes all over again.
“Why?” Bran herself started to put back on her clothes, a little frustrated. “Right after you got what you wanted, right?” She knew she was being a little mean, but it wasn't like Wil was being kind either.
“What I wanted?” Wil chuckled, like she was asking what she wanted.
“Yeah, you wanted a good fuck and now that it's over you want to be gone.”
Wil laughed.
“No, that's what you wanted.” She nodded her head from left to right. “You're so fucking insecure. My God.” She stood up and left the blankets they were laying on, also leaving the back of the pickup.
“I'm insecure?” Bran put on Wil's jacket once she finished getting dressed and followed her tracks. “You're the one who joined a sports team because you didn't have any fucking friends, and I'm insecure?”
Wil froze. Her dark curls reflected the light of the sun that was just about to set a little. After her, there was a nice view — not that Bran ever had stopped to look at it before. They always came to that cliff — hidden by a forsaken trail in a dense forest — like their sacred place. It was calm, it was quiet — the only sound being the birds singing and an angry river that none of them really knew where it was. The view was nice, Wil looked good in the center of it.
She suddenly turned around to face Bran with tears in her eyes.
“And you're in a fucking closet in a fuckass cheerleader costume with no real fucking friends because you hate all of these girls.” Her voice was shaky, but it didn't make the weight of these words any lighter.
Bran gulped before taking a step closer to her.
“Fuck off.”
Wil didn't hesitate, she also took another step further.
“Fuck you.”
That was when Bran grinned.
“Yeah, fuck me.” She held onto Wil's shirt and pulled her closer. “Please,” she whispered.
Wil didn't look happy — but she wasn't crying anymore. She looked angry, but it didn't stop her from taking a fistfull of Bran's blond hair and pulling her close for an aggressive kiss.
The car stopped in front of Brannah's house.
“Leave the jacket.” Wil's voice was demanding and bitter.
Bran swore everything was fine between them — that would be the only meaning of the mean bite Wil had left on her inner thigh. She thought it meant “we're fine, but you hurt me”. But maybe not.
“Are you okay?” Bran tried to reply in a gentle voice.
“I want my clothes back.” Wil did not reply gently. “All of them. And don't think I'm ever driving you home ever again.”
“Why that all of a sudden?” She chuckled, trying to make things lighter.
Wil turned to look at her with tears in her eyes.
“Leave the jacket, then leave my car, Brannah.” She repeated — her voice way more steady than Bran thought it would be.
Bran chuckled and scoffed to try and hold back her tears, but she did as she was told. She left the car, stepping onto the cracked pavement, and turned around to watch Wil park literally ten meters away from where she left Bran. She watched even as Wil entered her own house and not a single string of her curly hair could be seen any longer.
She knew Wil wouldn't be mad at her for much longer — it was always like this. They'd argue, break up, get back together. It was always a different matter, but they always managed to forget it — Bran always made sure Wil would forget it. So all Bran had to do right now was wait until she did.
