Chapter Text
The year is 2014, it’s a rainy day, thundering even, as if Zeus himself had a personal vendetta against YOU >:(.
Y/N, such a uh- lovely girl. With your 0.5 mm waist, body tea girl, aaayyyy, and your double Ds. It was supposed to be the best day of your life, the day where you and the CEO would make your relationship official!:D. No more hiding, no more hardcore sex in his office, no more limping. He had assured you that he would have left his bitch ass wife, that nagging ass ugly ass woman that stole YOUR man, even if they were married she still stole your man.
He would be….. Free.
It hadn’t gone how either of you imagined when his secretary barged in and screamed a scream of shocked shock, alerting the whole building something was, indeed, very not okay. The entire office had barged in and saw you butt naked on the CEO’s desk, bouncing on it, Not that you two were subtle…
After that, HR got involved and it was a matter of seconds before you both were fired. You didn’t even have your button-up buttoned up yet and they were kicking you out.
Naked and afraid, you clinged to the now Ex CEO of Smoking and Polluting & Co., looking for warmth in those man boobs of his, but he…. he shoved you away. WHY!? YOU COULD FLY AWAY WITH THE WIND AT ANY MOMENT FROM HOW PETITE YOU ARE!
“CEO… uhm… ex-CEO?” you asked in a whisper, so whispery you weren’t sure it reached his big strong ear. The storm was still howling, making it hard to ear anything past the rain on concrete.
“Don’t talk to me, kitten.” he growled, his big back growing in size. He got up, his form a towering 53 apples tall. He didn’t even say anything, he didn't need to, you knew him, or at least, you thought you did.
“I-It’s okay, as long as we’re together…” you look up at him again, hoping to see an ounce of the man you had fallen in love with almost two weeks ago.
“NO KITTEN!” he shouted at you, making you flin
ch flinchately, “WE CAN’T BE TOGETHER, I HAVE A WIFE. I HAVE…. had a job.” You see his eyes darken, in sorrow or anger you can’t tell, but you’re scared. Your hands are shaking and your legs could give out at any moment from how much you’re trembling.
“It’s over. Y/N” he said before turning his back against you and walking away, his ass cheeks bouncing with each step, you didn't know, but this was the last time you would see that jiggle.
It’s over, isn’t it?
The rain was soaking you clothes, you’re wet (ya nasty), wetter than he had ever made you with his 47 inches wonder.
Isn’t it?
You kept looking in the direction the ex-CEO had walked in, hoping to see him run back toward you. You waited. And waited. Until a car splashed you and a dog thought you were an hydrant and peed on your shoes.
Isn’t it over?
Finally the chinese restaurant owner that worked on the opposite side of the street saw you and thought you were a hobo and told you to leave before he would call the police.
You walked under the heavy ass rain that kept hitting you, you didn't truly have a destination, I mean, the One Direction had sold you to the CEO and now you were fired from the job the CEO had given you, and now you were also single! What a bad day. The baddest, the worst, the actual worst bad day you could have had, and to top it all off you broke your nail.
But then…
A sound.
Noise pollution.
Coming from the stadium.
“Baby, we're the new romantics
Come on, come along with me
“Heartbreak is the national anthem” you stopped to listen. That voice was like a siren’s song. Except, you know, not in the ocean. You were on land.
We sing it proudly
We are too busy dancing
To get knocked off our feet
Baby, we're the new romantics
The best people in life are free
We're all here
The lights and noise are blinding
We hang back
It's all in the timing
It's poker
He can't see it in my face
But I'm about to play my Ace (ah)
For a moment the world stopped. The rain became an after thought as the lyrics filled your ears. You stood there for a good moment to listen. Was this fucking play about you?
You subconsciously got closer to the stadium, like a moth to a flame. But this flame wasn’t burning you, no, it was healing you. It felt like when your sick biological mother, who had cancer, put a band aid on your knee before she died, she didn't die of cancer. No, no, she was hit by a truck, but she had cancer in the meantime. Reassuring, if only slightly bittersweet.
In any case, you creeped toward the sound, and peeked inside to see…. nothing. Lots of sweaty people. BUT THEN… you saw her.
A white woman.

You were overtaken by emotions and you started to ugly cry, like the ugly person who was next to you, also crying. Her basic outfit, her basic make up, her stiff movements…. she was like a goddess if they were basic.
You couldn’t look away even if a truck had hit you right there and then. Which luckily didn’t happen. But it could have and you still would’ve been enthralled by the white woman on stage.
Past the sea of sweaty fifteen years old – one of which was named Aster, for no reason whatsoever – and the lights bouncing around, the wingless white angel with beautiful blond hair seemed to be looking in your direction. But it couldn’t be. Could it?
(No, there were too many people)
Then, the people started to chant a name,
"TAYLOR!! TAYLOR!!”
Was that the name of this vision of otherworldly white beauty? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!? Thinking in… that queer way of another woman.
Nah, nah, it couldn't be. You weren’t of the other shore, right?
No, it was only admiration, like how you had felt it for many women before. You were merely acknowledging this woman’s astonishing loveliness…right?
Somewhere, the TV DIDN'T glow. For now…
In the here and now, you momentarily stepped back to ground yourself.
For the first time you were acknowledging your state, how distressed you had been. What changed? Why did you feel… almost relaxed? Your shoulders weren’t as tense anymore and breathing wasn’t as difficult. You finally realized the dog pee had soaked your baby shoe – just the one for both feet – and socks and that was kinda gross.
STILL, you are Y/N! you can’t give up! And it’s not like there was a boy band or a mafia boss nearby to buy you again. For once, you were on your own. For once in your life, take a stand with pride!
With this newfound motivation, you decided it was time to get out of the rain. This Taylor had shown you the light, saved you even – even if you were not really in danger or anything – and now you had to get your shit together. For yourself. And for Taylor.
