Busy Being Yours

Summary:

Pangi turns back to his phone although he knows he won't be able to pay any attention to his scrolling. Lukey is still cozied against his shoulder, like pulling away would render him too cold. It's comfortable so Pangi doesn't say anything.

He does, however, say something when Lukey leans in again and deposits a shorter, more playful kiss to his cheek.

"What are you doing, bro?"

Work Text:

Pangi would have expected to wake up hungover and stupidly tired the morning after the Silly Awards, and in a way he is. But he also feels that hangover wash over him softly, almost pleasantly. He isn't nauseous or aching, he is just in a sort of tired haze, enveloped by Lukey's bedsheets.

Lukey is laying with him, and everything is warm and nice. He feels more comfortable than he could recall ever being, and maybe it's because he is still a little residually drunk.

They pass a tall glass of water that Lukey has begrudgingly fetched back and forth. Pangi scrolls twitter and Instagram, absent-mindedly.

"Is Tertel still asleep?" Pangi mumbles.

"I think so."

Pangi hums and resumes his scrolling, keeping the stupid videos that come up at a low volume. Lukey leans into his shoulder to watch them too. The contact between them is warm and easy, sometimes so easy that it scares Pangi. If he could he'd spend his life cozied up against Lukey, sharing warm and electricity at those points of contact. Pangi knows it's scary, the way he feels, but in moments like these he forgets all about the fear and the confusion.

He scrolls from one video to the next, until some short clip pops up that catches his attention. It's a video of a guy jumping in another man's arms and the huge white letters on screen announce: 'Kiss the homie to your left'

It's stupid. It's ridiculous. It makes Pangi's blood thrum and for some reason he doesn't scroll away and lets it play out again once or twice. Lukey leans into his shoulder to muffle his giggles, and it's weird because Pangi is shirtless. His lips vibrate against bare skin and it's okay. It's so okay, Pangi convinces himself.

"What the fuck is your algorithm, dude."

Pangi looks at him in the corner of his eye. "So you not gonna do it? Pussy."

Lukey rolls his eyes and grins. They both know they're too tired to get into their usual play fights, so Lukey leans into him to kiss his cheek. Pangi expects a quick, not even a second long peck, something accompanied with a loud 'mwah' that would send them both laughing way too loudly.

Instead, Lukey's hand comes up to tentatively hold his jaw in place, taking a second to adjust to the perfect grasp and to feel Pangi's stubble. It's so gratuitous for a moment Pangi wonders if Lukey's trying to freak him out, like a game of gay chicken. These thoughts fly out his head when he feels Lukey plant a soft lingering kiss against his skin. It's warm, and tender, and it lasts long enough for Pangi to feel a puff of air when Lukey breathes out his nose. He pulls back with barely a noise, barely a giggle or a mocking smile. He looks very serious and it brings Pangi's fears roaring right back.

"Is that okay?" Lukey asks.

And Pangi has no fucking clue what he's asking here. His heart is beating way too fast for how mildly awake he feels, and his skin is heating up all over. But he nods. Before he even know why, he just nods. Lukey beams at him so it's all fine.

Lukey giggles. "You know I always need a fidget toy."

"Didn't know you started fidgeting with your mouth recently, bro."

"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" He laughs and punctuates his sentence with another kiss, that one less gentle, and lower down Pangi's face. Where his mole is, at the separation of his cheek and jaw. Fuck. Lukey isn't gonna stop, and Pangi for some reason doesn't wanna tell him to stop.

He feels more competitive now, now that Lukey has made it seem like this is no big deal. Like it's totally normal. So Pangi swallows around the lump of anxiety in his throat and turns back to his phone, determined to be totally chill.

Lukey keeps peppering kisses at his face every so often as they mindlessly watch reels, drifting lower towards his jaw or closer to his ear when he gets particularly bored. Pangi can't really help the way his breath hitches when Lukey's lips graze his jawline and stay there for bit, just resting warm and soft against his sensitive skin.

"Lucas…" He starts, slightly choked, as Lukey actually let's his lips trail his jawline, slightly parted, and Pangi can feel the promising warmth behind them as Lukey wets his lips against his skin.

He tilts his head instinctively when Lukey's kisses migrate from his jawline to just under there, to the top of his throat. The skin there is so much more sensitive, he feels sharp shivers roll through his spine like cracking thunder. It takes his whole body, and then he melts back into the pillows, eyes closed, and breathing louder than he realizes.

Lukey trails burning kisses at the thin skin of his throat and god, when he barely nips, takes the skin there between his lips like the softest bite that's ever been felt, Pangi gasps.

He should have half a mind to get his shit together, or even better, pull away before they go too far and break something irreparable between them. But the haze of his hangover has him taped to the pillows, trapped between the softness of the sheets and the tenderness of Lukey's mouth.

"Are you ticklish?" Lukey's low words vibrate against his carotid, and it's nearly enough to bring Pangi back to reality, if only for the flick of Lukey's tongue as he speaks.

"Fuck no," Pangi rasps.

As if challenged, Lukey doubles his efforts, kissing down his throat with a passion that terrifies him, even sheepishly letting his tongue and teeth meet Pangi's neck.

When he actually bites down softly , finally, Pangi can't help but throw his head back against the headboard and arch into Lukey. All rational thoughts left far behind, he grips Lukey's shoulder with a trembling hand. Lukey stops, pulls away even, alerted by Pangi's behavior.

Pangi opens his eyes and looks up at him, only to meet Lukey's dark, electric gaze. His face is pink, his lips reddened by the many kisses, and his hair is a mess. And fuck, that's a dangerous sight.

"You okay?" Lukey whispers. Like this, he's hovering just over Pangi's face, holding eye contact far too intensely. It'd be so easy, too easy, to lean up and capture his flushed mouth into his, kissing him senselessly. It'd be so simple to pull Lukey down into him, with a hand laced into his messy hair and his legs wrapped around his hips. Pangi can picture it like it's an alternate reality, just as real as coy cheek kisses that devolve into much much more.

Pangi opens his mouth to reply, although he had admittedly completely forgotten what Lukey had asked him, but before any nonsensical words can leave his dry throat, the door of Lukey's bedroom swings open.

"Are we doing anything for breakfas— oh Jesus Christ!" Tertel exclaims suddenly, covering his eyes clumsily and slamming the door shut again, loudly. The sound's enough to snap them both out of their trance, slowly processing what had just happened.

Lukey slides off of him hurriedly, giggling nervously. He runs both hands through his hair. "I- sorry about that." He grins.

"It's cool." Pangi swallows, getting used to the sudden cold that hits his his overheating skin when Lukey puts some distance between them. "I would've said no if I wanted to. Consent and all, bro."

It's supposed to be a joke, but it hits too close to home, too real for the actual situation they were in. They both chuckle awkwardly nonetheless.

Lukey turns back to him, hesitant to make eye contact. "I should go tell Joel that… uh,"

"That it isn't what it looked like."

Lukey raises a skeptical eyebrow at him, amused. "I was just gonna offer him breakfast for his troubles, but sure."

"Sounds good. I… I'll join you two in a bit…" Pangi stammers, raising his knees to his chest protectively.

Lukey nods empathetically, and soon the room is empty, and the air is colder than he remembered it. The silence heavy.

Pangi runs a hand over his face and looks down in absolutely despair. Fuck. He's hard.
