Crowley was chasing his quarry through the woods.
He stopped. Listened. He could hear the heavy breathing, the rapid heartbeats.
His prey stopped. He heard the slight scrape against the tree as he leaned on it to catch his breath.
Crowley grinned.
He silently transformed into his favourite serpent form, a giant red-bellied black snake, and slithered up the tree he was stood beside.
He slithered from branch to branch, tree to tree.
He stopped when he spotted his prey directly below him, and hissed a laugh.
He watched him look around, searching, listening for footsteps, or any sound at all. He remained perfectly motionless.
His prey cautiously stepped away from the tree.
"Oh, no you don't!" Crowley growled softly.
His prey heard him. He stopped, looking around again.
Crowley quietly released his body from the branch he was coiled around, and let himself fall to the ground at his prey's feet.
He shrieked and nearly fell over. Crowley quickly coiled himself around him to keep him from falling.
When he was steady, Crowley flicked his tongue out and touched the tip of his nose, with a grin that showed his fangs, and made his eyes nearly glow with mischief.
"Crowley!" Aziraphale exclaimed, but he couldn't stop the laugh. "Turning into a serpent? That's cheating!"
"Of courssse. I'm a demon, it'sss what I do," said Crowley in the eerie hissing whisper he had when in his serpent form.
"Could you loosen up a bit, love? I'd like to be able to move my arms."
"Sssorry," hissed Crowley while loosening his coils from around his angel, without letting go completely.
Aziraphale took his arms out of the coils, and put his hands on either side of his serpent's face.
"Will you take your human form, for just a minute? I want to kiss you." And, when he saw Crowley open his mouth to protest, he added, "You won, and I will hold up my end of the bargain." He tried to sound exasperated, but Crowley saw the smile and the twinkle in his eyes.
"You like it," he said with a hissing laugh. Then he transformed into his human corporation. He and his angel wrapped their arms around each other and they both enjoyed the kiss that lasted longer than a minute.
When the kiss stopped, Crowley became the giant red-bellied black snake again. But as he coiled around his angel, he shrank, until he was four and a half feet long.
He draped himself over his angel's shoulders, and loosely wrapped around his neck. He situated himself so his head was on one shoulder and against his angel's warm neck. He relaxed, making a sound that was a combination of a hiss and a purr.
"Ready, love?" Aziraphale asked.
"Yesss," Crowley hissed, snuggling up even more.
Aziraphale walked along the trail and back out of the woods, wearing his serpent demon like a scarf. He couldn't stop himself from gently caressing the beautiful black scales, which made Crowley snuggle even tighter. Aziraphale smiled happily. Crowley was right, he did like carrying him around like this, with him wrapped around him.
