The first match that had Park Jimin as Hufflepuff’s official Seeker, Min Yoongi knew he was screwed.
They barely made it during that game. But once Yoongi got to snap out of his Holy-Crap-Park-Jimin-Is-Adorable daze, Slytherin easily got to round up the points to their side, Snitch or none. While his team gathered at the center of the stadium, celebrating on the field, Yoongi stayed on the air. And he wasn’t alone.
There he was. His ridiculous red hair that burned their way into Yoongi’s eyes as the cold autumn air ruffled it. They haven’t been properly introduced yet, just as Quidditch competitors, but Yoongi knew that the kid was already on his third year. He never even saw the kid around the castle, which he probably should have if someone had that obnoxious set of hair. He was far on the other side from the Slytherin Beater but close enough for him to see that the red head boy was still cradling the Snitch in his hands. Yoongi watched as the boy brought the gold flying marble up to his face and smile in the most content way that anyone could smile. He was so confused because Why is he smiling? Sure, he caught it but they still lost so why? Yoongi asked himself over and over again but never got an answer.
But what confused Yoongi more was how his heart skipped about two beats when he saw that smile.

The boy was struggling upside down, his robes tangled all over him. Seokjin was no better, his perfect blonde hair now a mess and needed a proper comb.
“Let us go this instant!” Seokjin shrieked.
Namjoon scoffed, “Gryffindors. Always so bossy.”
“Don’t shame my house you bloody snake!”
Yoongi sighed as the two began to bicker back and forth. He put his attention back to the brunette, He changed his hair, he briefly thought. When the fifth year finally managed to at least free his head from all the fabric, his eyes landed pleadingly on the rather small Slytherin with cute bleached hair in front of him. “Please let us down.” He whined. Yoongi had to look away as to not be affected by the powerful puppy eyes.
“Can’t.” Was the only thing he answered.
“Why not?”
Yoongi side-eyed the cupboard door where voices were heard even through Seokjin’s screeching. Jimin understood what he meant and sighed, “Okay.”
The blonde’s eyebrows scrunched together, “Okay?”
Jimin smiled, Yoongi noted how it was still breathtaking upside-down, “It’s for love, right? We should do everything for love...I wish someone would love me enough to actually do something like this.”
The Slytherin trailed his eyes over Jimin’s face and tried to quiet his mind with it yelling to volunteer. “If someone did,” Yoongi heard himself say, What are you saying? Dude shut up! “He would be one lucky guy.”
Jimin smirked, “Didn’t say it would be a guy.”
Yoongi blushed.
The Hufflepuff giggled and shrugged, “Well, I wouldn’t really mind if it were.”
If the floor were alive it probably swallowed up Yoongi at that moment.

“Not again.”
Yoongi looked up away from his plate at his friend slash captain slash world’s messiest eater in confusion and followed Namjoon’s hand pointing at the cuddling couple in front of them. Well at least he thought they were cuddling, it looked more like Taehyung was choking Jungkook to him. The young Slytherin tried to feed himself some soup but ended up spilling it on his chin due to Taehyung smothering his nose on the side of his neck.
“You’re going to make him starve if this keeps up.” Yoongi said just as a piece of bread gets knocked off by Taehyung’s elbow and Jungkook sadly watched it roll to the floor.
The human koala just giggled and mumbled an apology to Jungkook’s shoulder. Jungkook in return smiled and pecked the other’s nose.
“Whipped.” Namjoon whispered.
“Oh yeah, Yoongi-hyung, I almost forgot to tell you,” Taehyung said, making all three pairs of eyes snap up in shock and confusion because was Taehyung actually talking to Yoongi? “What? Why are you guys looking at me like that?”
“Nothing, Tae, it’s just...you don’t usually talk to Yoongi. Especially not during breakfast.”
Taehyung pouted, “I do so talk to hyung!”
“If we did I wouldn’t think you calling me hyung was weird...which I do. So stop.” Yoongi said.
Taehyung shrugged. “Sorry, force of habit. Especially since Kookie said you were born in Daegu, too. Kind of like my legit sunbaenim now.”
“Again. Stop. You’re giving me childhood chills.”
“Right, sorry. Anyway, Jiminnie says hello.”
Just then Namjoon spat out his soup and Jungkook choked on a bagel. Yoongi glared at both of them, daring them to laugh. The two act innocent and drank from their goblets.
Yoongi rolled his eyes and went back to Taehyung, who was now nursing his boyfriend’s throat, “Why didn’t he just say so himself?”
“Because he rarely comes down for breakfast. He’s always waking up early to train at the Quidditch field.”
This piked Namjoon’s interest and asked with a condescending tone, “The Hufflepuffs always train in the morning?”
Taehyung shook his head, “Nope. Only Jiminnie. He just really likes flying a lot. Says it really relaxes him plus it makes him practice to be faster on the broom.”
“I wish Jungkook was more enthusiastic about training like that…” Namjoon mumbled. A half-eaten bagel hit his face afterwards.
*****
After hearing the news from Taehyung, Yoongi now found himself always walking to the field before breakfast. And sure enough, every morning there Park Jimin was; flying around on his broomstick. Yoongi didn’t fly with him but he would let the boy know he was there by waving, shyly at first but as the days passed by he stopped hesitating. He didn’t know why he does it. The two of them still haven’t had a proper conversation, unless if the one during the Get-Taekook-Back-Together plan counted. Yet he found himself spending all his mornings with the Seeker.
“Can I ask you something?” Yoongi asked.
Jimin looked up from fixing his gloves and tilted his head to the side in question, “What is it?”
“On your first game...you stayed on the air for quite a while. I wouldn’t say I was watching but I kind of...sort of saw you smiling. Like you were so happy even thought you guys lost. Why...what made you that happy?”
Jimin bowed his head and chuckled. He finally got to take off his gloves and started twiddling with the finger holes. “I was so happy that time. The scores never really mattered to me. All my life I just wanted to know if I was good enough, if I was fast enough to ever catch a Snitch. And...I did. That day, the day I finally caught one, was the best day of my life. Sure it wasn’t perfect, we still lost, but when the gold light reflected back at me...I knew there was nothing else I wanted to do.”
Yoongi noticed how the other was getting nervous as his fingers were shaking while they traced of the gloves. Without thinking, he placed his pale hand on top of Jimin’s small ones and gripped them both in comfort.
“You know,” Yoongi said, “That day I also found out something that changed my life.”
Jimin slightly leaned closer, a playful grin on his face, “What was that?
Yoongi leaned forward as well, two pairs of brown eyes gazing intently at one another, “I found you. And I knew...there was nothing else in the world that I wanted to look at.”
*****
“I want all of you to know that I hate you.”
Yoongi scoffed, careful not to wake up the napping brunette on his shoulder, “If we hated you too at least there would be someone who returned a type of feeling for you.”
Namjoon gaped and violently stabbed his spoon on his cereal, slightly spilling milk on the sides.
“No, Tae, don’t say it---”
“Oooh cereal killer!”
“Damn.”
