A treatise of a normal highschool life

Summary:

A perfectly normal and utterly, boringly, chaste highschool relationship

Notes:

“I feel like shit… I should get something to drink” ”I havesomethingI’dlikeyoutodrink”

Ryan sprang from his seat, all tiredness gone from his body, in a fighting stance- was he going to get attacked? He didn’t think-

Lucas covered his face, offering Ryan an ice-cold can of coffee.

“Here… drink it.”

Chapter 1: You’re welcome, look where you are

Chapter Text

That stupid bastard. Of course, he’s sitting beside me.

Ryan at his table, staring at a math textbook while his tablemate, lucas chang, hurls insults at him. Of course, he wasn’t studying anyway- still, it’s irritating. Seriously, doesn’t lucas have anything to do? It’s been a week of school, and he still hasn’t left me alone ONCE. Seriously, what’s his problem? It’s like his entire purpose is to fuck with me.

I only have to make it another half hour before recess, thank god. I’ll be able to eat my shitty food in peace.

“Faggot, look at me when I’m talking to you-”

And his hand is dragging my chin to face him. He’s fucking ugly, why would I want to look at him? What’s his problem? I glare at him, pushing his hand away, delayed momentarily by how utterly infuriating that move was.

“Let go of me, nigger. I’m not gay, get your hands off me-” “LUCAS CHANG AND RYAN SENG! Please stop flirting mid-lesson. I honestly don’t care, but please-”

Lucas and ryan stopped bickering, staring at their teacher, who was looking at a face so smug they knew it was purposeful, and exclaimed as one:

“We are NOT gay?”

Ryan swears he heard a question in Lucas's tone. Of course, they weren’t free- they’d said it in perfect unison, after all.

“Aww, the couple’s so in sync~”

Such were the leaders of their classmates. Ryan glared at Lucas, while Lucas returned the look, and added on a comment of his own. “You should’ve just kept your mouth shut.”

Wait, no. Lucas, you dumbass, that’s the dumbest thing you could possibly say- “of COURSE you said his mouth should've remained closed. What were you doing with it, hmm?”

I need to fix this. I am absolutely, most definitely, not dating that bitch. “You’re putting words in my mouth-” Ryan’s face flushed. He knew he’d just fucked up, worse than lucas had.

“Oh, so he’s putting things in your mouth now?”

He needs to leave. Ryan’s breathing faster, his heart pounding in his chest. It’s taking everything in him to not bolt. He’s having trouble breathing. In, out. In, out. In, out. In, out. In, out-

“Gayass.”

Ryan doesn’t even hear who says it. He’s sitting in a bathroom stall, head resting on his knees, on top of the seat. He probably ran, but he genuinely can’t remember. He STILL can’t breathe easily, his heartbeat slowly, slowly, slowing down.

How cringe. Doing this for something so minor? Well, it’s not like I’ve been one to care about what others think. Still, it’s embarrassing.

He gets up, and opens the bathroom stall. It’s difficult to walk, but there is a small place near the sink where he can sit and catch his breath.

He’d rather not catch his breath here, but beggars can’t be choosers.

He checks his phone. It’s ten minutes into recess, but He isn’t hungry.

Besides, he doesn’t want to deal with Lucas right now. If he does, he might do something drastic. Actually, should he do something drastic? It’s not like his position is indefensible.

Ryan was horrified. He wasn’t scared, but what reason could lucas possibly have to buy him a drink?

“Is it poisoned? I’m not dumb, you know.”

“... just…”

Lucas walked over, pinning Ryan against the wall behind him. He cracks the coffee open with his teeth, pushing it into Ryan’s hands.

Of course, Ryan’s resisting- though, there isn’t exactly anything he can do. Lucas is just way stronger.

What the fuck? What the fuck? What the fuck? Why? Why? Why?

Such were the thoughts that were running through his head. He protested, but his protests went unheard.

Almost no one would be in the fifth floor, much less the fifth floor restroom in an offshoot block, during recess hours.

It felt disgusting. I hate this with every ounce of my being.

Worse, he was being forced to sit, Lucas towering over him.

Why did Lucas force me to sit? I don’t understand?

The idea that Lucas was trying to care for him crossed his mind. In response, he stopped fighting, and let Lucas maneuver him.

This notion was immediately thrown from his mind when Lucas then proceeded to force his mouth open.

And Lucas poured the ice coffee, now only cool, having become more warmed during the struggle, directly into Ryan’s open mouth.

Ryan expected to choke. At first, he did, when Lucas was pouring the coffee into the back of his throat.

Surprisingly, after seeing Ryan spit it out and choke, Lucas relented- pouring the coffee into ryan’s open mouth for him to drink instead.

It doesn’t taste too bad, Ryan thought.

Wait. why am I just letting him feed me and hold my mouth open like a good boy?

Unfortunately, his moment of realization came too late- the coffee can had been poured down his throat.

God knows what time it is. Is recess over? Fuck it, it’s late enough to play hooky. I should just skip-

This train of thought was interrupted by something wet landing on Ryan's tongue, and by reflexes that were just trained into him, that he swallowed promptly without complaint. He immediately made a face of disgust, it was slightly sour, and wasn’t like the coffee at all- it was just short of chewy, yet undeniably liquid. It could only be described as a glob.

ANd for some reason, Lucas gave a satisfied ‘hmm’, before patting ryan on the head.

“What? Why are you”

“Thanks for drinking it. I didn’t want to.”

???

“FUCK YOU???”

Ryan screamed, with a burst of adrenaline, dragging Lucas into the cubicle where he’d been sitting until he got out- locking the door behind him.

The door was flimsy as hell, and the locks shitty, but what was on ryan’s mind right now was making lucas feel even more shitty than this dumbass school.

His enraged attempts to strangle lucas fail as his rage fades away, mostly because of lucas forcing his mouth open again.

It seemed to calm him down, Ryan falling to his knees on the floor as lucas sat on the toilet (the lid closed, making it a viable chair) in front of him.

They sit there for a few minutes, catching their breath.

I hate this bastard. I let him in, and he uses me like some damn trash can to pour what he doesn't want to drink down my throat? Fuck him.

Ryan makes to get up, failing. For some reason, he can't- his shoulder feels heavy, really heavy.

He looks to his left, to the offending shoulder.

And to his horror, Lucas’s leg is there, stopping him from leaving.

It hooks him in, dragging him closer, until Ryan's between Lucas’s legs.

Ryan hates this. He can't fight back, not because he secretly likes this, but because he can't physically do anything. Lucas is just… stronger.

Ryan feels a strange, fleeting, fragile fear. It doesn't make sense, or rather, there are so many ways it makes sense it doesn't.
