Work Text:
Yang Jae-won had always been the type to keep his emotions to himself. But today, that had changed.
He had watched it happen—again. The nurses giggling at Baek Kang Hyuk, the flirtatious glances, and the way they leaned in just a little too close when they spoke to Baek Kang-hyuk. Jae-won couldn’t stop himself from clenching his fists.
Kang-hyuk was oblivious to it, of course. He only focused on his patients and never giving any of the nurses more attention than necessary.
But Jae-won was jealous...
It wasn’t long before Kang-hyuk noticed.
They were sitting together in the doctor’s break room after a long shift, and Jae-won had been unusually quiet. Normally, Jae-won would chatter about the day’s surgeries. But today, he just stared at his coffee, his lips pursed in a way that made Kang-hyuk’s sharp eyes notice something was off.
"You're awfully quiet today."
Kang-hyuk’s voice cut through the silence, his gaze fixed on Jae Won. He noticed the way Jae Won was avoiding eye contact.
Jae-won’s gaze remained on his cup, his fingers tapping nervously on the edge. "It's nothing."
Kang-hyuk leaned forward, staring directly at Jae Won, "You're a terrible liar," he chuckled, his voice a low.
Jae-won couldn’t hide it anymore. “It’s you and Nurse Kim... Why does she have to be so close to you? You don’t even notice how she flirts with you! She’s all over you, and I-I...” He trailed off, realizing he had just vented all his frustrations in one go.
Before Jae-won could even process his mistake, Kang-hyuk moved swiftly, lifting him by the waist with ease and placing him on the table. Papers scattered across the floor, a few clips rolling off the edge as Jae-won’s back hit the cool surface.
The suddenness of it left him flustered, eyes wide in panic. “P-Professor,” Jae-won stammered, his hands instinctively clutching the edges of the table.
Kang-hyuk leaned in closer, trapping Jae Won between his strong arms. His breath warm against Jae-won’s ear as he whispered, “What should I do with you, Jae-won-ah?”
"My aegi is so easily jealous,” he laughed in a mocking tone that made Jae-won’s stomach tighten.
“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Jae-won tried to push him away by the chest, but Kang-hyuk didn't budge, leaving Jae-Won feeling small and helpless in the best way possible.
Kang-hyuk’s fingers gently cupped his chin, tilting his face up slightly.
Without another word, Kang-hyuk leaned in, his lips crashing against Jae-won’s in a kiss that was filled with undeniable hunger.
It was messy at first, teeth clashing slightly as Jae-won melted into kiss. His hands moved to Kang-hyuk’s shoulders, instinctively gripping them for support as he let himself go into the kiss.
Kang-hyuk’s mouth was demanding, taking control as he tilted Jae-won’s head to deepen the kiss, his lips moving against Jae-won’s with no mercy.
Every time he tried to pull back, Kang-hyuk’s lips would follow, deepening the kiss, pulling him back in. His hands instinctively pushed against Kang-hyuk’s chest, lightly punching him in a desperate attempt to breathe.
"H-hyung…wait...mhph!" Jae-won gasped, his voice barely audible as he tried to break away. But Kang-hyuk wasn’t having it.
When Kang-hyuk finally pulled away, Jae-won was left gasping for air, his lips swollen and red, his heart racing wildly in his chest.
He placed a hand gently on Jae-won’s jaw, his thumb brushing over his lips.
“Only I get to see you like this, No.1,” Kang-hyuk said softly, his eyes dark with affection and possessiveness. “And you… you get to see me like this.”
Kang-hyuk planted a light kiss onto his forehead, a reassuring gesture that melted some of the jealousy.
“You’re the only one I want, Jae Won-ah,” he whispered, looking deep into Jae-won’s eyes, sincerity in every word.
“And I’m not interested in anyone else, so don’t waste your time thinking about all that nonsense.”
Jae-won’s heart skipped at the words, his cheeks blushed in bright red.
“You’re mine,” Kang-hyuk said, reassuring Jae Won. “And I’m yours. No one can change that.”
