Work Text:

Izuku Midoriya sat cross-legged on the floor of his cluttered room, surrounded by a sea of crumpled papers and overturned textbooks. His eyes darted back and forth, searching for the one item that seemed to have vanished without a trace: his analysis notebook. It was a simple, black-covered book filled with meticulous notes about everyone he had ever met, both heroes and villains. He had spent countless hours observing them, breaking down their movements, their fighting styles, and even their quirks, scribbling down every detail he could gather.

Further down the bustling street, a figure emerged from the shadow of a towering tree, a notebook in hand. Aizawa Shota, the hero known as Eraserhead, had stumbled upon the book during his patrol near the U.A. High School gates. The notebook looked ordinary, but the precision and thoroughness of the notes within suggested it was anything but. He flipped through the pages, each entry a testament to the author's keen observation and analytical skills. The drawings of quirks were so lifelike that it was as if the very essence of their power had been captured on the paper.

Aizawa knew he had to bring this to Nezu, the principal of U.A. . The young boy's obsession with heroes and villains was unusual, but not entirely unwelcome. However, the detailed intel on the newly-formed villain group, "The Fracture," was something they couldn't ignore. He hurried back to the school, the notebook nestled securely in his pocket, his mind racing with the implications of what this information could mean for the safety of the city.

When Aizawa reached Nezu's office, the principal was busy at his desk, the room filled with the faint scent of coffee and the sound of his fingers tapping away at his computer. He looked up as Aizawa entered, his eyes widening slightly when he saw the serious expression on the teacher's face. "What's the matter, Aizawa?" he asked, setting his cup aside.

Without wasting a moment, Aizawa slapped the notebook onto Nezu's desk. "I found this outside the school gates. It's filled with intel on the Fracture," he said, his voice urgent.

Nedzu's furry brows knitted together as he picked up the notebook with his nimble fingers, flipping through the pages. The tension in the room grew as he read, his eyes scanning the meticulous notes and sketches. "This is... remarkably detailed," he murmured, his tail swishing thoughtfully behind him. "Where did you say you found this?"

Aizawa leaned against the desk, his arms folded over his chest. "Near the school gates. It was just lying there."

Nedzu paused on a page, his eyes widening. "This is... This is extraordinary, Aizawa," he exclaimed, holding up a page with a particularly intricate drawing of one of the Fracture members. "The author of this notebook has a deep understanding of quirks and tactics. Have you any idea who might be responsible for this?"

Aizawa shook his head. "None whatsoever. But whoever it is, they're not a student at U.A.," he replied, his voice laced with curiosity. "The handwriting is too young for any of our current pupils."

Nedzu nodded thoughtfully, his mind racing. "We must use this to our advantage," he declared, tapping the notebook. "This intel could be crucial in dismantling the Fracture before they cause any more harm. We'll need to act swiftly and decisively."

The two educators spent hours poring over the notebook's contents, piecing together the puzzle of the Fracture's operations. The more they read, the more apparent it became that the author had a gift for strategy and observation beyond their years. Aizawa couldn't help but feel a twinge of admiration for the unknown prodigy.

They decided to organize a covert operation to take down the Fracture, utilizing the intel from the notebook. The plan was simple yet effective: Aizawa would lead a team of skilled U.A. teachers and pro heroes to each of the locations mentioned in the notebook, while Nezu would coordinate from the school, providing real-time information and backup if needed.

The team moved swiftly and efficiently through the city, each member handpicked for their expertise and discretion. The notebook had pointed out weaknesses and potential escape routes for the villains, making the raids almost too easy. Yet, the success of their mission was bittersweet, as they couldn't shake the question of who had compiled such vital information.

As the sun began to rise, painting the sky in hues of pink and orange, the final member of the Fracture was apprehended. The streets grew quiet once more, the chaos of battle replaced by the distant chirping of birds and the rustle of leaves in the breeze. Aizawa and Nezu met in the U.A. control room, the tension in the air palpable as they discussed their victory.

"The intel was spot-on," Aizawa said, his voice gruff but impressed. "Whoever this person is, they're a natural."

Nedzu nodded, a hint of a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "Indeed," he agreed. "And I believe I have found the individual responsible for this notebook."

The revelation sent a bolt of surprise through Aizawa. "Already?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

Nedzu nodded, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Yes," he replied. "And not just any boy, Aizawa. It's a young man named Izuku Midoriya. He's not a student here, but his insights are... astonishing."

The following evening, after the school day had ended and the last of the students had disappeared into the horizon, Nezu found himself standing before a small, unassuming house. He took a deep breath, the crisp scent of fall leaves mingling with the cool evening air, and approached the door. With a gentle knock, he waited for a response.

The door swung open to reveal a woman with a tired smile. She looked vaguely familiar, and Nezu realized she was Izuku's mother, Inko. "Can I help you?" she asked, her eyes wary but polite.

Nedzu, ever the gentleman, bowed his head slightly. "Good evening, Mrs. Midoriya. I'm Principal Nezu from U.A. High School. I have something that belongs to Izuku," he said, his voice calm and measured.

Inko's expression shifted from wariness to curiosity. "Oh, yes? What might that be?" she replied, stepping aside to let him in.

Nedzu stepped into the small, cozy living room, his eyes scanning the area. It was clear that this was a home filled with love and care, despite the evident signs of wear. He spotted Izuku at the dining table, surrounded by his schoolwork, his brow furrowed in concentration. The boy looked up, his eyes lighting up when he saw the notebook in Nezu's hand. "You found it," he murmured, a hint of relief in his voice.

"Yes, I did," Nezu said, walking over to Izuku and placing the notebook on the table. "And we're incredibly grateful for it. Your observations were the key to stopping a dangerous villain group," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.

Izuku blinked, his confusion palpable. "Me?" he questioned, his voice barely above a whisper. "But I'm just a kid. How could my notebook do that?"

Nedzu nodded solemnly. "Izuku, your understanding of quirks and tactics is beyond your years. The way you've analyzed the Fracture, it's as if you've studied them under a microscope," he explained, his tail swishing gently behind him. "Your insight was invaluable."

Izuku stared at his notebook, his heart racing. He had never thought that his observations, a mere hobby to escape the mundane, could actually make a difference. He felt a mix of pride and bewilderment.

Nedzu's gaze was kind as he looked at the young boy. "Izuku, you have a gift for understanding the mechanics of quirks and the psychology of those who wield them. It's not something that can be taught," he said. "And if you ever decide to become a hero, you would be an invaluable asset to the community."

Nedzu then left the house, the warm light of the living room fading as the door clicked shut behind him. Leaving a confused and half panicked izuku staring at where nezu was one standing.
