Work Text:
Curled up in the bay window of the mansion's library, Rogue flipped the page of LaVyrle Spencer’s Morning Glory. It was still in the early eaves of summer where the spring chill made the morning air crisp, but the summer sun bleeding through the window was toasty-warm on her skin. Rogue sighed in contentment; there was nothing she loved more than the quiet solace of a romance novel and some sun tea.
She went to turn the page once more, but her book had inexplicably disappeared from her hand.
“I don't know how you read dis stuff, Chère.”
“What, the Thieves Guild never teach yah to read?”
Rogue turned to Gambit with a sneer, grabbing at her book, but he smoothly traded hands, and all Rogue succeeded in was closing the distance between them. Her chest brushed his, and as his arms wrapped around her waist, she realized this was all part of his plan.
“Now don't be mean, Gambit just came here with a proposition.”
She stared him down suspiciously, “Why do Ah have the feelin’ your ‘proposition’ has ulterior motives?”
“Mais, non.” He said with a smile which said otherwise, “Gambit’s intentions pure as a pond full of water lilies.”
Rogue scoffed, leaned in close as though she'd kiss him, and murmured, “Brackish pond full of cattails maybe.”
He could have closed the distance easily enough— just a tilt of the head was all he'd need, but he waited patiently for her to make the first move. She didn't make him wait too long this time. Floating a foot off the ground, Rogue pressed her lips to his. Remy sighed into her kiss, his embrace around her waist tightening. Her fingers found the spine of her book and felt him smile as she stole it back.
Propping her arms up on his shoulders, Rogue teased, “You made me lose my place, Swamp Rat.”
“Désolé, ma chérie.” He said, not at all abashedly. “But, dhe weather is jus’ right. Gambit thought we maybe go for a flight?”
Her eyes lit up, “You want to fly with me?”
It'd been a while since she flew with him for the first time, and though it seemed he'd enjoyed himself, she had been secretly waiting for him to ask her to fly again. If she asked him, the answer would be a quick yes, but Rogue didn't want it to be an obligation. She’d rather it be a preference, his preference.
“Don’ sound so surprised, Chère.” Remy said, “Told yah there weren't no ulterior motives.”
Rogue hummed, “We’ll see ‘bout that, Sugah.”
Hand in hand, they went up to the roof. Rogue kicked the door closed after them just to be pressed up against it. His fingers lingered safely on her waist until she tugged a glove off with her teeth and dragged an exposed finger across his lips.
“I knew it,” she murmured just as he kissed her. Hands rucked up her dress and fondled her bare thighs. “.... Scoundrel.”
Remy nuzzled her neck and nipped at her ear, “Jus’ wanted a taste of that sun tea. Raspberry?”
“And honeysuckle.” She rolled her eyes at the audacity, “Yer a menace.”
Without a warning, she lifted him up, her hands folding just under his rump, causing his legs to hitch up around her hips. As soon as his arms were secure on her shoulders, she took off. He gave a bit of a yelp at the sudden take-off, or perhaps the sound was an aftereffect of her grabbing his ass. When they cut through the clouds, he gave a hoot and a holler. He looked back down at her, his face flushed in exhilaration.
“Think maybe you dhe menace, ma colombe.” He snickered.
She gave his ass a squeeze, and he groaned. “Is that a bad thing?” Rogue asked.
“Oh, mais non. Maybe my favorite thing ‘bout you, Chère.” He rested his forehead against hers, and she felt his hips twitch. “Purest of intentions an’ dhen you go and wreck my plans in dhe most wonderful way.” His nose bumped her as his lips brushed past her, “Allez, donne-moi un peu de tendresse— Kiss me, mon amour.”
So she did. They were still spinning up in the clouds, the sound of birds and the summer breeze buzzing in their ears. His legs squeezed tight around her waist as she shifted so only one hand was holding him. She pressed him closer and murmured between their breathless kisses, “I’ve gotcha, Sugah.”
“Mnm, I know, Chère.” He groaned as she bit a mark against his stubbled jaw, “You got me in so many ways.” Her freed right hand ventured beneath his shirt, bracing against his back. Remy squirmed in her tight embrace; his breathing stuttered. Against her stomach, she felt the bulge of his pants stiffen. He shakily suggested, “M-maybe we touchdown for a second. A bit haunte to ask, but I gotta cool down some. You’re drivin’ me crazy.”
“Or,” Rogue trailed her ungloved hand to his pant buckle, fondled and rubbed his acrobatic-tight ass, and watched his eyes flutter. “I could take care of you here.”
Remy gaped at her, “When did you get to be the devilish one?”
“Maybe I’ve always been this way,” She undid his pants with a wink. “So?”
This time she was the one waiting for him to make the move— to tell her yes or no. Remy shifted against her again, leaning back, his arms secured around her neck. She slowly tread backwards through the skyline, deeper into the clouds. Her right hand went back to his hips to brace him.
“That’s not where I want that lovely hand of yours, Chère.” He said with a glib smirk and freed one of his hands from the security of her neck to move her right hand back to his pants.
She lifted him up a little higher so she could unzip him. He helped her one-handedly fumble open his fly and free his cock from his boxers. She hitched him back down, so his hips were resting over her stomach, and his legs were secured around her waist. Then she gave her ungloved hand a long, wet lick from palm to fingertip.
“Merde, Chère,” he groaned as she stuck her two longest fingers into and out of her mouth with an audible pop. “You’re killing me with that sweet mouth of yours.”
With her left hand still acting as his perch, her right hand wrapped around his cock and gave him a gentle tug. She rubbed her thumb across the tip, and his hips bucked.
“Kiss me, then, Cajun.” She said, and he complied, pulling her into a deep kiss as she twirled them midair.
Her hand pumped in rhythm with her aerial dance, and he grunted and growled into her mouth. His teeth nipped at her bottom lip, one of his hands cradled her face and tugged at her hair. She drifted higher in the atmosphere, where the clouds were too dense to see through. Her dampened hair clung to her face and neck. They were covered in cloud condensation like a garden of misty morning dew.
When they parted, she was dizzy and breathless in the best way. He leaned back again to rock his hips up into her slick hand, and she continued working him over in slow, languished motions. As his thrusts deepened, she stroked him faster, teasing him to moans with her slender fingers.
His thighs began to shake, and his eyes flickered pink with pleasure.
“Oh, merde… Anna Marie, I’m-- Mnm-Mon Dieu!” His face was flushed, his head lolled back as his nails dug into her shoulder blades. “Please, mon amour, oh, s'il te plaît!”
She circled the whirl of her thumb against his throbbing tip, and he cried out. “I’ve gotcha, Remy.” Palming his ass, she pinned him closer. “I’ve gotcha.” Her slick fist quickened as he thrust frantically into her hand. His thighs quivered around her. She gave him another firm pump, “Cum for me, Cajun.”
The atmosphere around them crackled and snapped as he cried out. Their cloud cover erupted with hot pink electric energy. She grabbed his lapel and pulled him close to her chest as he shuddered and shivered through his orgasm.
“Hoo lawd!” He laughed giddily, his forehead resting against hers. “Have mercy, Chère, that was… somethin’ else.”
Rogue couldn’t help but have a surge of pride, “Yeah?”
“Hhaha, mais ya!” Remy peppered flighty kisses against her cheek and jaw as he lost a fight with a fit of giggles. “ Cho! I can’t believe you just jerked me off in a no-fly zone!”
She laughed along with him, “I just hope no one saw the clouds turn pink!”
“Let ‘em see.” He said, “They jus’ be jealous of Gambit anyway.”
“Scoundrel,” she teased, and he was quick to remind her, “Hey, Chère, dhis wasn’t Gambit’s idea. Seems you’re dhe scoundrel now.”
Rogue scoffed, “Ah still blame you.”
“Blasphemy!” He kissed her again before peeling himself away from her. He looked at their mess of clothes and cloud soaked hair and said, “I think a shower and change of clothes is a high order.”
“My place or yours?”
“My room closer and easier to sneak into… but your room has dhe better water pressure.”
Rogue sighed and helped him readjust his pants, “If anyone sees us—”
“Then I have failed as a thief,” Remy laughed, “Let’s go, Chère.”
