Izuku Midoriya sat in his bedroom, typing away on his computer. His All Might fan page had been growing steadily, and he loved interacting with other fans who admired the hero as much as he did. It was a safe space for him—a place where he could talk about his dreams without fear of being ridiculed. Here, he was "AllMightfanboy#1," and he had a lot of followers, but there was one that he found himself chatting with more than the others.
The user "user0173782828" had initially commented on one of his posts, criticizing a detail about All Might's battle strategy. Izuku had been taken aback at first—most people on his page were friendly and supportive. But instead of getting upset, he engaged in a discussion with "user0173782828" trying to understand his point of view. That was how it all started.
Over the past few months, what began as friendly debates and discussions turned into something more personal. They began to chat more frequently, not just about All Might, but about their lives, their hopes, and their fears. "user0173782828" wasn't so mean anymore even though he always found something to critize green haired boy for. Izuku found himself looking forward to these conversations, the excitement of seeing a new message from "user0173782828" becoming the highlight of his day. It felt strange to be so attached to someone he’d never met in person, but somehow it felt right. It felt like they known eachother for years. He was so stupidly in love that he agreed on matching bios and profile pictures even though he always seen that as pathetic and cringy.
One day, after a particularly long conversation about their favorite heroes, Izuku hesitantly typed out a message:
**AllMightFanboy01:** *I know this might sound weird, but… I kinda wish we could meet in real life. I feel like we get along really well, and I like talking to you a lot... I like you alot >_<*
There was a pause, and Izuku's heart raced. Did he say too much?
Finally, a reply popped up:
**user0173782828:** *Yeah, me too*
Izuku smiled at the screen, a warm feeling spreading through his chest. Whoever "user0173782828" was, he was special. They started to talk more about their feelings, shyly admitting that they were developing even romantic feelings to each other. Soon enough, they began using pet names or just constantly flirting and other affectionate terms that made Izuku’s heart flutter. On the weekend Izuku finally had balls to ask "user0173782828" if he will became his boyfriend and luckily they got together really quickly. (Izuku first blocked him on every app cause he was scared of rejection, on other day unblocked him, finding message saying "Yes, I would.").And that's how they started their online relationship.
Meanwhile, at school, things were entirely different. Katsuki Bakugo, the most popular and intimidating boy in class, made it his mission to torment Izuku at every opportunity. They had grown up together, but something had changed over the years. Bakugo had become more aggressive, more angry, and Izuku bore the brunt of it. Every insult, every shove, made Izuku’s days at school miserable.
He couldn’t understand why Bakugo hated him so much. They used to be friends, but now, Bakugo seemed to despise him. Izuku avoided him as much as possible, preferring the safety of his online world to the harsh reality of school.
One evening, after another particularly brutal day at school, Bakugo logged into his favorite fan page, the one run by "AllMightFanboy#1." He hated admitting it, but he had grown attached to the page and its owner. It was the only place where he felt like he could let his guard down. And now, there was "AllMightFanboy#1," who had somehow become more than just an online acquaintance. He felt a strange connection to this person, one that he couldn't quite explain.
As they continued to chat, Bakugo found himself drawn deeper into the conversation. It was different from the meaningless exchanges he had with others at school. Here, he could be honest about his feelings, even his insecurities. And "AllMightFanboy#1" seemed to understand him, in a way no one else ever had.
But then, something unexpected happened. During one of their conversations, "AllMightFanboy#1" mentioned something specific about his school—a detail that Bakugo knew all too well. It was broken sink in the mens bathroom on second floor...the third one. He even mentioned the man who came to fix it. Everything seem right.
**user0173782828** *Wait, you go to Aldera Junior High?*
**AllMightFanboy01:** *Yeah, why? Do you :0?*
Bakugo's heart skipped a beat. His hands hovered over the keyboard as he processed the information.
**user0173782828** *Is your class the last one in the hall... on the second floor... any chance?*
**AllMightFanboy#1 *yeah? how do you...know all of this \(○.○)/*
There was no way… But the more he thought about it, the more everything clicked into place.
The way "AllMightFanboy01" talked about his life, his school, his experiences—it all lined up perfectly.
There was only one person who fit that description.
Deku.
Bakugo’s face twisted in a mix of shock and anger. How could this be? The person he had been falling for online was the same nerd he bullied at school every day? His first instinct was to end everything, to block "AllMightFanboy01" and pretend it never happened. But something stopped him.
As much as it infuriated him to admit it, he couldn’t deny his feelings. The connection they shared was real, and it went beyond whatever hatred he had for Deku in person. Maybe, just maybe, there was something more to all of this.
Instead of confronting Deku online or in person, Bakugo decided to keep it a secret. He continued chatting with "AllMightFanboy01" as if nothing had changed, treating him with the same affection as before. But now, when he saw Deku in the hallways, a strange mix of emotions churned inside him—anger, guilt, confusion, and something else he wasn’t ready to name.
Izuku was oblivious to Bakugo’s internal struggle. All he knew was that his online relationship was growing deeper, and he found himself falling for "user0173782828" more every day. He began to fantasize about what it would be like to meet him in person, to finally see his face and know who he was.
But that dream was shattered one afternoon after school. Izuku was walking home, typing a quick message to "user0173782828" about a new All Might figure he had seen, when he heard a voice behind him.
“What’re you so happy about, Deku?”
Izuku froze, recognizing Kachan’s voice instantly. He turned around, trying to hide his phone, but Bakugo had already seen it.
“What, texting your little friend... or did you get finally found someone who will stand your quirkless ass? Pathetic. ” Bakugo sneered, but there was an edge to his voice that Izuku hadn’t heard before.
Izuku blushed furiously. “That’s none of your business, Kacchan!”
Bakugo’s eyes narrowed, and for a moment, Izuku thought he saw something flicker in them—something that wasn’t anger. But it was gone in an instant, replaced by the usual scowl.
“Tch. Whatever, nerd.” Bakugo turned and walked away, leaving Izuku standing there, confused and a little shaken.
Later that night, as he lay in bed, Izuku’s thoughts kept returning to Bakugo. Something was different about him lately, but Izuku couldn’t figure out what. And why did he feel guilty about hiding his relationship with "user0173782828" when he knew Bakugo would only mock him if he found out?
But little did Izuku know, Bakugo was wrestling with his own guilt. Every time he sent a message to "AllMightFanboy01," he felt like he was living a double life. He hated the idea of lying, but the truth felt too dangerous to reveal. And yet, he couldn’t bring himself to stop. He had fallen for "AllMightFanboy01," and the thought of losing him—even if he was Deku—was too painful to bear.
Weeks passed, and their relationship continued to grow, but the tension in Bakugo’s mind only intensified. He knew he couldn’t keep the secret forever, but he wasn’t ready to confront it either.
One day, after school, Izuku was sitting at his desk, chatting with "user0173782828" as usual, when something unexpected happened.
**user0173782828:** *Hey, can I tell you something? Something important?*
Izuku felt a pang of nervousness. What could it be?
**AllMightFanboy01:** *Of course, you can tell me anything.*
There was a long pause before the next message appeared.
**user0173782828:** *I think I know who you are in real life.*
Izuku’s heart skipped a beat. He had always wondered if they might somehow know each other, but the idea had seemed so far-fetched. His fingers trembled as he typed his reply.
**AllMightFanboy01:** *Really? Who do you think I am?*
Another pause. Then the message came through, and Izuku’s world tilted.
**user0173782828:** *You’re Izuku Midoriya, right?*
Izuku stared at the screen in shock. How could he know his real name? Unless…
**AllMightFanboy#1:** *How do you know that? Who are you?*
The response was immediate.
**user0173782828:** *It’s me.*
**AllMightFanboy#1** *this isn't helping...*
Next message he received was just phone number without any text. (012)-345-6789. He went to his contacts to type it. He wanted to save new contact but then something popped out. You have this number already saved as: Kachan.
Izuku’s blood ran cold. His fingers hovered over the keyboard, not knowing what to type, what to say. This had to be some kind of joke. But deep down, he knew it wasn’t.
**AllMightFanboy01:** *Is all of this, some type of joke you made…?*
**:user0173782828** *No unfortunately. But it’s me. I’ve known for a while now.*
Izuku’s mind was reeling. The person he had been in relationship with, the person he send the good morning and good night messages everyday, the person who always knew how to confront him, the person that told him he liked him, the person he was matching everywhere to, the person which he send online kisses almost daily... the one hehad shared all his hopes and dreams with—was Katsuki Bakugo? The same person who tormented him daily at school? It didn’t make sense. Izuku’s mind raced, trying to reconcile the two different versions of Bakugo: the online “user0173782828” who was supportive and understanding, and the real-life Bakugo who was cruel and angry.
His hands shook as he typed out a reply.
**AllMightFanboy#1:** *Why didn’t you tell me earlier? Why did you keep this a secret?*
There was a long pause before Bakugo replied. Izuku could almost imagine him hesitating, something he rarely saw in real life.
**user0173782828:** *Because I didn’t know how you’d react. I know I’m an asshole to you at school. But online… it was different. I didn’t want to ruin that. And…*
Another pause.
**user0173782828:** *I guess I didn’t want to admit that I’ve been wrong about you this whole time.*
Izuku’s heart clenched at the confession. It wasn’t like Kachan to apologize, even indirectly. The realization that Kachan had been struggling with this, too, made the situation feel even more complicated. But before he could sort through his feelings, another message appeared.
**user0173782828:** *I understand if you’re mad. Or if you don’t want to talk to me anymore. I wouldn’t blame you, Deku.*
Izuku stared at the message, his emotions swirling in a confusing mess of anger, sadness, and something he couldn’t quite identify. Kachan had hurt him in so many ways over the years, but the Kachan he had gotten to know online was someone he genuinely cared about. Someone he had started to fall for. Could he really just throw that all away?
With a deep breath, he started typing.
**AllMightFanboy#1:** *I don’t know how to feel right now. I’m confused and hurt… but I also can’t deny that I like talking to you. Both online and… now, I guess. I just don’t understand why you’ve treated me so badly in person if you really care.*
The response came quickly, almost as if Bakugo had been waiting to say these things for a long time.
**user0173782828:** *I didn’t know how to deal with it, okay? You were always so damn persistent, always chasing after your stupid dream, even when everyone else thought it was impossible. It pissed me off. But maybe I was just pissed at myself. I didn’t want to admit that I… cared about you, or that I… liked you, or whatever.*
Izuku’s breath hitched. He re-read the message several times, trying to process the weight of what Bakugo was saying. All these years of bullying, of torment—it had been Bakugo’s twisted way of dealing with feelings he didn’t understand? It didn’t excuse his actions, but it did add a layer of complexity that Izuku hadn’t considered before.
Finally, he typed his response.
**AllMightFanboy#1:** *I need time to think about this, Kacchan. I won’t stop talking to you, but… I need to figure out how I feel about everything.*
**user0173782828:** *Take all the time you need, Deku. I’ll wait.*
With that, Izuku logged off, his mind still spinning. He lay back on his bed, staring at the ceiling. Everything had changed so quickly. He had gone from having a secret online relationship to discovering that the person he had been falling for was his biggest bully. Yet, despite everything, he couldn’t deny the connection they had.
The next few days at school were awkward, to say the least. Izuku couldn’t help but glance at Kachan whenever they passed in the hallways, wondering what he was thinking. To his surprise, Kachan didn’t seem as harsh or aggressive as usual. Instead, he seemed almost… restrained. It was as if he was trying to keep his usual temper in check, which only confused Izuku more.
Their online conversations continued, but they were more cautious, more tentative. Izuku was still trying to sort out his feelings, and Bakugo was giving him the space he needed. It was a strange new dynamic, but one that was slowly starting to feel more natural.
One afternoon, after a particularly exhausting day of training in gym class, Izuku found himself walking home alone. To his surprise, Kachan caught up with him, falling into step beside him. Neither of them spoke for a while, the silence heavy with unspoken words.
Finally, Katsuki broke the silence. “Deku… I know things are weird right now, but I meant what I said. I’m… trying to change. And I want to figure this out, whatever this is between us.”
Izuku looked over at him, seeing the sincerity in his eyes. It was rare to see Bakugo so vulnerable, so open. It made Izuku’s heart ache in a way he hadn’t expected.
“I know, Kacchan,” Izuku replied softly. “I’m trying to figure it out too. But… I don’t hate you. I never did. I just wanted to understand why you were so angry all the time.”
Bakugo let out a bitter laugh. “I didn’t even understand it myself. But now… maybe I’m starting to. And I don’t want to lose what we have. Not online, and not… here.”
Izuku felt a warmth spread through him at Bakugo’s words. For the first time, he felt like they were finally seeing each other for who they really were, not just the roles they had forced themselves into over the years. It was terrifying, but also exhilarating.
“Maybe we can start over,” Izuku suggested hesitantly. “Try to figure out how to be… friends, or whatever this is, in real life too.”
Bakugo gave him a small, almost shy smirk. “Yeah, I’d like that, Deku.”
They walked the rest of the way in companionable silence, the tension between them easing into something softer, something more hopeful. As they reached Izuku’s house, Bakugo paused, his usual bravado faltering for a moment.
“See you online, -Izuku” he muttered, his cheeks tinged pink.
Izuku’s heart skipped a beat, and he couldn’t help but smile. “Yeah, see you, Kacchan.”
As he watched Bakugo walk away, Izuku felt a strange sense of peace settle over him. Things were still complicated, and there was a lot they needed to work through, but for the first time in a long while, he felt like they were moving in the right direction. Maybe, just maybe, they could find a way to make this work—both online and in the real world.
The next time they chatted online, it felt different—lighter, more honest. They started using their pet names and first names too, but there was a newfound sincerity in their conversations. They talked about their day, about their struggles, and about their hopes for the future. But now, there was no longer a wall between their online personas and their real-life selves. They were simply Izuku and Katsuki, trying to navigate this strange new relationship together.
At school, Bakugo’s behavior began to change as well. He wasn’t exactly friendly—old habits died hard—but the cruel edge to his words had softened. He stopped going out of his way to torment Izuku, and even stood up for him a few times when others tried to pick on him. It was a small change, but it meant the world to Izuku.
One day, as they were leaving class, Bakugo caught up with Izuku again. This time, instead of walking silently beside him, he grabbed Izuku’s hand, holding it tightly as they walked home together. Izuku’s heart pounded in his chest, but he didn’t pull away. It felt right, somehow—like this was where they were meant to be.
As they reached Izuku’s house, Bakugo paused, looking nervous for the first time in a long while. “Can I… kiss you?” he asked, his voice low and hesitant.
Izuku’s eyes widened, but he found himself nodding, unable to form words. Bakugo leaned in slowly, giving Izuku plenty of time to back out if he wanted to. But Izuku didn’t move. When their lips finally met, it was soft and tentative, filled with all the emotions they had kept bottled up for so long. But when Izuku responded, pressing back gently, Katsuki deepened the kiss, his hand coming up to cup the side of Izuku’s face. It was warm and tender, filled with a careful intensity that sent shivers down Izuku’s spine. The kiss was everything Izuku had hoped for and more. It was sweet and fierce all at once, a perfect reflection of the complex feelings they had both been struggling with.
When they finally pulled apart, their foreheads rested together, both of them breathing hard, their eyes still closed as they tried to process what had just happened. Katsuki’s thumb gently brushed against Izuku’s cheek, a small, affectionate gesture that made Izuku’s heart swell.
"I’ve wanted to do that for a long time," Katsuki admitted, his voice rough with emotion.
Izuku opened his eyes, meeting Katsuki’s gaze. There was no anger or confusion there now—only a quiet, honest affection that took Izuku’s breath away. He smiled softly, his own hand coming up to rest against Katsuki’s chest, feeling the steady beat of his heart beneath his palm.
Bakugo looked at him with a rare, genuine smile. “Guess we’re not just online anymore, huh?”
Izuku laughed, feeling lighter than he had in years. “No, I guess we’re not.”
And for the first time in a long time, Izuku felt like everything was going to be okay. They still had a lot to work through, but they were doing it together, and that was all that mattered.
As they said their goodbyes, Izuku watched Bakugo walk away, a smile playing on his lips. This was just the beginning, but it was a beginning he was excited to explore—both online and in the real world.
The End.
