Work Text:
Ok, so, maybe Reyna did call Percy into her office on that Wednesday morning to confess, for a second time.
Don't put the blame on her though! She needed it off her chest, that's all. She didn't hope in her wildest dreams Percy would say yes. She was cursed to never find love in a demigod, he'd never love her. She just wanted to put her feelings to rest.
The knock at the door signaled he was here, on time of course- regardless of heritage, Percy was a Roman.
"You wanted to see me, Reyna?" He said, and her name on his tongue sent a fluttering through her chest that she couldn't quite gain control over.
"Sit down." She said shortly, motioning for him to do so next to her. Percy obliged, his hands grasped firmly together as he took his seat.
"So, what's this all about? If you're asking about the hot glue, that was Piper, not me." He said evasively.
"This is not about the hot glue, curious though I am about that." Percy rose an eyebrow at her as her stomach decided it was time to do a somersault. She calmed herself.
"So what is it about?" Percy said, and she froze. Was he to close or something? She looked down, and his hand was trailing down her thigh. Every touch sent fire through her nerves. Was this one of his little intricacies? Did this... mean something else? No, it couldn't. Could it?
"I wanted to-" the words caught in her throat. Her body almost felt like it was on fire itself, his touch leaving trails of light along her legs. What was he planning?
"Wanted to what?" He asked, and Reyna blushed bright red.
She felt like she was drowning- she couldn't speak, she could barely hear, as if those sea green eyes locked on her were dragging her to the bottom of the sea. Any words she wanted to say caught in her throat. There was a slight sparkle in the back of those very same eyes, an emotion she couldn't quite grasp. It was not love- it couldn't be.
"I just-" she could barely think, she couldn't talk, she could barely get ahold of herself, what enchantment had this man put on her? She was cracking at the seams just from a few exchanged words.
She took a deep breath. Three words and this could all be over. "It's just... I love you." She said, bracing for whatever Percy was going to say.
Instead, he just looked at her, that familiar drowning feeling coming in full force as he almost seemed to be studying her. His hands traced flames across her legs. She felt like exploding- he was judging her, wasn't he?
"Alright." He said simply. "I can work with that."
Reyna turned from bright red to scarlet- her heart pounded out of her chest, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. “Wha- excuse me?” She choked out.
“Well, let’s say I’m not great at first moves.” Percy elaborated. “You’ve solved a critical point in my plan without even knowing.” His hand came to rest on her thigh, feeling like it would burn a hole through her skin.
“I- I don’t understand.” She stuttered truthfully.
“And people call me dense.” Percy said teasingly, causing her heart to do a backflip. “What I mean is that I accept, Reyna. You should work on your delivery though.” He amended.
Reyna felt like bluescreening at that moment. It was all to much to process. Eventually, one question came to mind. “What- what about Annabeth?” She finally questioned.
A third voice interjected before Percy could respond. “Oh, I really don’t mind at all.”
One swift look at the door revealed Annabeth in all her glory, blonde hair tied into a ponytail and sweating from an apparent workout.
“Really Percy, seducing some poor young maiden without waiting for your accomplice? Truly despicable.” Annabeth continued. Reyna’s mind definitely had to reset.
Nobody seemed able to say a word. Annabeth settled next to Reyna, opposite Percy. Her hand began mirroring Percy’s renewed tracing across her thigh, setting Reyna’s nerves ablaze once more. Since when did these two have this sort of effect on her?
She turned to Annabeth, noticing that same twinkling in her eye that Percy had. “Why?” She asked.
“Why what?” She said innocently, though the devilish smirk on her face and the second hand coming to trace what seemed like occult symbology across her chest certainly proved it was anything but innocent.
“Why are you ok with this?” Every word was a struggle as Reyna’s mind filled with a thought-stopping fog.
“Well, let’s say it’s not just him benefiting from this. That is, if you’re willing.” Annabeth smiled.
“If I’m- if I’m willing?” The fog in her head seemed heavier than before.
“Allow me to elucidate you.” Annabeth purred, her face not inches away from Reyna’s. She leaned in, Reyna unable to stop her as Annabeth’s lips left a searing mark on her cheek. A hand lifted up to hold her chin by the pointer finger, and before Reyna could react, pressed her lips against their counterparts. Reyna’s thoughts went blank.
There was a small voice yelling at her from a little corner of her head, saying to push Annabeth off, but it was drowned out in a sea of steel grey love, and with the passion Annabeth performed, it almost seemed to leak into Reyna.
Just as the bliss began to die down, the hungry kiss provided by the young girl in front of her slowly turning to mellow, she felt flesh against her shoulder. One amber eye opened to look down, seeing that messy black mop of hair and the smiling face of Percy Jackson.
Her skin was bruised near the shoulder blade, evidently where Percy got rather excited. He leaned up, his teeth nipping at her earlobes before whispering straight into her ear, her mind melting.
“Well, do you accept, my praetor?” He whispered. Annabeth, having heard what Percy said, slowly pulled off Reyna, her hand still tracing symbols across Reyna’s chest, her eyes filled with a seductive, fiery passion.
“I don’t believe I have any choice in the matter.” Reyna stated firmly, yes dazedly, her mind very much thrown into the gutter. “I will accept.”
