Work Text:
“Wow this place is gorgeous.” Jaeyun was pointing out the lush garden backdrop with beautiful rose bushes, a center aisle with fresh flower petals strewn on the ground to give the visual illusion of a walkway that would soon be taken by the bride. The wedding arch was the icing on the cake: rustic and simple but obviously bespoke. Any pinterest wedding enthusiast would be punching the air if they saw it.
Ok, breathe in, breathe out Heeseung, you can do this. Heeseung could barely soak in the grandeur of the place when his palms were sweaty, eyes darting around, and his necktie suddenly feeling two inches too tight for comfort. He hummed a “mmm” in reply to appease his boyfriend enough and to not make it so blaringly obvious that he was scanning the guests for a particular someone. That someone being Jaeyun’s ex-boyfriend, Bang Chan. Seriously, what kind of name even is that? “Stop it!” Heeseung hissed to himself while giving himself a quick slap to the face to get himself together.
He had given himself a mental peptalk prior to the trip. It was inevitable that meeting your boyfriend’s ex is always going to be an awkward affair, but he decided he would be the better man and keep things civil. They were adults, and it’s perfectly normal that Jaeyun had a previous relationship while he was here in Brisbane, it was four long years and Jaeyun is a total keeper, there was no way people would have left him alone.
He felt that ugly possessiveness rising within him again like bile and he shoved it back down. He couldn’t help it, it was the same feeling he had when he saw Jaeyun and stupid-pretty-boy-asshole Felix holding hands in the club a year ago, he saw red. Heeseung knew it was not healthy, jealousy and a fear of abandonment rooted from his push-and-pull relationship with his father growing up (his therapist refused to use the words daddy issues but he knew what it was). He was working on it. He knew deep down his insecurities were baseless, Jaeyun loves him, and this wedding was going to be enjoyable for the both of them, he would make sure of it.
“Are you.. ok?” Jaeyun asked him, looking slightly jarred.
“Of course, I am, why wouldn’t I be?” The older smiled and squeezed Jaeyun’s hand in his.
“You were talking to yourself the last thirty seconds or so, and I heard you say the words “stupid-pretty-boy-asshole Felix.”” Fuck. “Are you sure you’re ok hyung?”
“I am, I am, I promise. Sorry I’m just feeling a little nervous that’s all. I must have said my thoughts aloud.”
“Is that a therapy thing?”
“No, it’s a me-thing.”
“Ok. That’s fine, maybe just don’t use the words “stupid” and “asshole” once we’re seated yeah?”
“Got it.”
“Ooo canapés!” His silver-haired retriever boyfriend trailed after the suited waiter like he was waving doggy treats.
He really needed to get his shit together. When Jaeyun first told him about the invitation to his friend Davis’ wedding, he was excited to go. Work had really piled up the last year, his dance studio was packed with students ever since he hired Niki to be his social media manager. In true gen Z fashion, Niki had brought his business to new heights through tiktok and youtube. This steady stream of income meant that he could hire more dance instructors while he focused on honing his true passion, creating choreographies for artistes. I should give Niki a raise, he thought to himself.
It might have seemed impossible for him to carve out the time to fly out to Brisbane for this occasion, but the invite had come months in advance, meaning he could make preparations beforehand to make it work. Making it work was something Heeseung had resolutely decided to put his mind to since he and Jaeyun got back together. A relationship required conscious effort, and he could see Jaeyun putting his heart and soul into it, and so would he. Also, a year had flown past them like a blizzard ever since they got back together. They had become so busy with work that they had to intentionally set aside time for dates.
Hence, this trip to Brisbane was so much more than a chance for Jaeyun to congratulate his friend, it would be an opportunity to get away and just focus on them. Furthermore, Heeseung wanted to see what he missed out on those four years when Jaeyun had his own life in this mysterious place. Heeseung wanted to try the foods he liked, go to the places he found solace in, and meet the people that Jaeyun spent his days with. He had forgotten though, that one of those people would be Jaeyun’s infamous ex-boyfriend, Bang Chan.
“He’s chill, babe. Don’t worry about it. It’s been 2 years since we broke up, I’m sure Chris’ over it. Hell, he was the one who broke up with me.” Chris, Jaeyun had a nickname for the guy, urgh. Jaeyun being the ever thoughtful and sweet boyfriend he was asked Heeseung how he felt about possibly meeting his ex. Heeseung told him he was nervous of course.
He didn’t know the guy and more importantly, he didn’t know how Mr. Bang Chan aka. Mr. Butt Crack felt about Jaeyun. His boyfriend pandered to his childish worries, and he decided that he would put on his big-boy pants and face this head on like a mature adult, of course he stated it in a much more blasé way when he assured his boyfriend, he had to maintain his image as the cool-level-headed boyfriend after all.
There was another thirty minutes before the guests had to be seated for the ceremony, more and more guests were arriving via buggees from their guest houses, dressed impeccably and giddy with excitement. The soon-to-be wedded couple had booked the entire farm over the weekend, with each group of guests having their own pretty guest house strewn across acres of land.
David and his fiancé Hailey had put them in a cozy baby blue wooden home, where they were greeted with the most stunning sunrise in the morning and fluffy cows just outside their fences. It was great, well maybe not that great when they were going at it last night while a dozen cows stared them down through the glass windows, but still a great trip so far nonetheless.
Heeseung did some quick math as he looked at the rows of seats prepared and how sparse the little canopy section was: this was definitely a more intimate wedding than he had anticipated. There must not have been more than a hundred people attending this wedding. Uneasiness settled in his stomach as he thought about what this fact meant.
“Jake?” The couple was midway shoveling canapés and mimosas down their throats when a dainty voice interrupted them.
“Sarah! Oh my god!” Heeseung barely managed to grab a hold of the tiny plastic plate of food Jaeyun thrusted to him before his boyfriend wrapped her up into a tight hug and swung her around. They did their introductions, albeit Heeseung just needed to put a face to the name, he knew the girl was a part of Jaeyun’s group of close-knitted college buddies. Although her elegant demeanor did surprise him, considering how much of a “party animal” Jaeyun had told him she was. The plus ones were also introduced and Heeseung felt some relief seeing another person as visibly awkward as he was. They chatted for a good fifteen minutes, or Heeseung tried to at least with whatever broken English he could conjure up, during which more of “the gang” showed up, a Sean, Minji, and Asher.
“Chris says he’ll be here in about five.” Sean announced to the group nonchalantly while typing on his phone, after which Sarah nudged him quickly and gave him the side-eye. “What? Oh..” The group fell silent as their eyes landed on Heeseung, still awkwardly balancing two plates and two mimosas in his hands. “Sorry man, that wasn’t cool.” Sean reached out to apologise to him sheepishly. “No it’s fine.” Heeseung replied quickly. Jaeyun rubbed his arm and talked to him through his eyes, you good? Heeseung nodded and smiled at him assuredly. Yup, this was fine. The group seemed nice; their dynamics pretty similar to their friends back home, surely this Bang Chan guy was cool too, right?
That moment a buggee pulled up and a stocky male stepped out dressed in a white (white at a wedding? The audacity.) cropped blazer (who is this guy? This isn’t New York fashion week) that revealed a sliver of abs paired with a pair of beige trousers and dark slicked back hair. What a douche, Heeseung thought to himself as he watched the gaudy man saunter over. “Hey Chris! Over here!” Oh fuck no. Heeseung’s jaw almost dropped as he watched the entourage of people around him exchange cheerful hellos and hugs with the beefy dude.
“Hey, Jake! You look great.” Bang Chan exclaimed in a mix of Korean and English as he pulled Jake in for a friendly hug. To be fair, it was more of a bro hug than a I’m-still-in-love-with-you hug but Heeseung’s fingers tightened dangerously around his glass of mimosa nonetheless.
“Chris, this is my boyfriend,” Bang Chan’s face lit up in pleasant surprise as Jaeyun gestured to his side “Heeseung hyung.”
“Ahh I see.” Bang Chan squinted his eyes and cocked his head to the left as he looked at Heeseung. He looked at him as if he knew something Heeseung didn’t and boy did it make his blood boil for some reason. “It’s nice to meet you Heeseung-ssi” Bang Chan’s Korean was very accented and the way he stretched out the sss at the end made him sound like a snake. He reached his hand out towards Heeseung for a shake and although it looked like a friendly gesture to others, both men put so much force into the squeeze that Heeseung feigned like it was nothing even though his hand was literally throbbing after. Jaeyun chuckled nervously at the exchange and more so at his boyfriend’s plasticly smile.
The emcee of the afternoon called for everyone to enter the ceremony area and take their seats. Jaeyun bounced excitedly in his seat chair next to Heeseung, getting his phone out ready to take pictures and ig stories of the happy occasion. It was a beautiful picture-perfect ceremony really, the bride was glowing when she walked down the garden aisle, tears were shed when the vows were exchanged and everyone cheered when Davis pulled his newly wedded wife in for a spicy kiss.
Jaeyun was bawling throughout and Heeseung passed him fresh tissues for every round of snot-blowing on autopilot, but his eyes were not fixed on the star couple, instead he found himself stealing glances at Bang Chan who was seated three seats away from them, and he could swear the guy was looking at him too.
When Jaeyun first told him about his ex, he did not mention anything that notable about the guy. Jaeyun told Heeseung that Bang Chan had asked him out their final year of college and he accepted because he was a nice guy and he liked him enough. He never treated me badly, I just wasn’t giving it my 100% and he got sick of it. Heeseung grew a sense of pride knowing that Jaeyun still thought about him while he was in Aussie, but he did feel bad for the guy, there was no way he would have known Jaeyun was not over his past relationship at the time. Heeseung never asked to see the guy’s photo because it didn’t matter then.
Well, not that it mattered now, but.. does Jaeyun have a thing for buff lords? Heeseung was never really insecure about his body, he knew he was fit from his years of dancing, and he was an active guy all around, he enjoyed playing basketball and soccer on his off days. But Bang Chan, he was fucking jacked. Like the kind of jacked you could only get from spending way too much time at the gym to not be a narcissist. Heeseung clicked his tongue at the way Bang Chan’s sleeves looked like they were about to burst at the seams when he applauded the couple enthusiastically.
After the ceremony, the wedded couple went around greeting their guests and taking photos with them. The college gang + plus ones gathered near the wedding arch to take the quintessential photo with the couple. Standing near Chris, Heeseung could smell a strong whiff of cologne emanating off the man, was that Dior Sauvage? This guy’s a douche AND he’s basic. He brushed Jay off when his friend clicked his tongue at people who wore that perfume and shared his sentiments with him, but now he believed it wholeheartedly. Jay was right. People who wore Sauvage had zero personality.
“Woah Chris, you look amazing dude. You’ve really cleaned up nicely huh. Nice crop top man!” The groom exclaimed as he approached the group and hugged each of his college buddies. “Well, you know what they say about not out-shining the bride.” Heeseung muttered under his breath in Korean, loud enough for Chris to hear. Jaeyun pinched his sides and glared at him. “Ow!” Heeseung pouted and rubbed his sides as his boyfriend put his arm around his waist for the group shot.
The wedding day was packed to the brim. After the ceremony, guests were treated to a lovely brunch made of local produce from the very farm they were staying on, after which they could decide whether to rest in their guest houses or enjoy the variety of activities available on the farm before the dinner reception that would wrap everything up.
Heeseung had the best bacon and pancakes he’d ever had his entire life with his gorgeous boyfriend who was positively glowing in the Australian sunshine. It should have been very romantic having their meal with the spring breeze in their hair overlooking green pasture, if not for the fact that the entire college group was seated together for brunch.
Heeseung tried his best to put off his disgruntled front for Jaeyun. He wanted to put in effort to get to know his boyfriend’s friends because he knew it would mean the world to him. Jaeyun had missed his friends dearly when he returned to South Korea and Heeseung wanted to embrace this part of Jaeyun’s life that he held close.
And he was trying, really he was, but was it his fault that Bang Chan had an exact way of saying things to get under his skin?
“Heeseung-ssi, you’re older than me, right? Could I call you hyung then?”
“No.” Jaeyun kicked his shin under the table with his dress shoes, it hurt like a bitch but Heeseung did not let it show on his face.
“Ah that’s understandable. I mean, we’ve only just met today. Although it feels as if I’ve known you since forever!” Bang Chan remarked with a big grin on his face.
“Right?? Heeseung-ssi is so friendly, it feels like he could have been part of our friend group.” Minji replied genuinely while Jaeyun agreed with a tentative laugh.
The annoying thing was, aside from being too flamboyant for Heeseung’s liking, the guy really wasn’t all that bad. At least he wanted it to seem that way. Bang Chan was nice to the waiters, consistently made sure to refill everyone’s cups with water from the pitcher on the table (although Heeseung is positive Bang Chan had purposely poured his cup to the absolute brim just so that he would spill some down his shirt, the asshole), and he was obviously the joker of the group. Everyone, including Jaeyun, laughed at the jokes he made as he worked the crowd.
Heeseung was always the funny one back home. Jaeyun and their friends would laugh until their sides hurt, wheezing from the witty comments he made. But here, he could barely keep up as the group rambled on in English. Heeseung’s English wasn’t bad, in fact he was pretty decent for a local Korean. However, he struggled to get past their accent and the speed at which they spoke. He did not want to kick up a fuss though, these friends had not seen each other in years, it was normal that they would be excited to catch up.
Thankfully, after brunch, Jaeyun had told his friends that he wanted to spend some time with Heeseung that day and that they would catch up more with the gang during the dinner reception. They returned to their guest house to change into more comfortable clothes before going out to pick cherries which was only fun for Heeseung because he got to kiss his boyfriend’s cherry-stained lips under the trees while his boyfriend giggled adorably. They fed the farm animals according to Jaeyun’s insistence and took a dozen polaroid pictures together to display on their shared refrigerator back home.
They strolled hand in hand mid-afternoon, eating the cherries they had picked while walking towards Barry’s Lawn. The emcee had announced that as part of the festivities, the farm had arranged for a variety of games the guests could participate in and win prizes. Heeseung and Jaeyun decided among themselves that they were probably not too keen on participating, but they could watch and if it was boring, just head back to their guest house to rest. Surprisingly, it was a much more popular event than they had expected. At least half the wedding guests were present to participate or spectate the games.
“Hey Jake! Heeseung-ssi! Over here!” Great. Bang Chan waved eagerly near the front of the crowd along with Minji, Sarah and Asher. Heeseung willed himself not to roll his eyes into oblivion at Bang Chan’s getup. He was wearing a black muscle tank which sides dipped lower than his self-respect. It left absolutely nothing to the imagination: biceps, abs and some bits of nipple all on display. Seriously? And he thought Hoon was a show-off.
“Are you all participating?” Jaeyun asked his friends, they were always up for a good time and so he should have known that they would gravitate to the gnarliest activities on the farm. Jaeyun winced as he took a glance at the huge mud pool at his periphery, these games were going to be messy for sure.
“Yeah! Participants are supposed to sign up in pairs. The prizes are actually pretty good!” Sarah pointed towards a table with three prizes lined up in order of rank. Heeseung could have sworn he saw stars in Jaeyun’s eyes when he saw the top prize.
“A slushie machine?? Oh my god hyung! Remember how I told you just two weeks ago that I really wanted one??”
“That’s what you said about our soda stream too.. and it’s covered in dust.” Heeseung had to physically turn away when Jaeyun brought up the idea of getting a slushie machine two weeks ago. He had put on his puppy eyes and try to appeal to his soft-hearted boyfriend. It took Heeseung one unused soda stream, an untouched airfryer, and a horrifying facial flex for Heeseung to learn that his boyfriend was a stress-shopper.
“I’ll win it for you Jake. I’m not really in it for the prizes, but I already know I’m gonna crush it regardless.” Bang Chan began to make a show of flexing his biceps, and triceps and whatever other ceps that existed in front of their friends comically causing them to erupt in laughter.
“I don’t know Chris, these games aren’t all about brawn you know. Some of them may actually stump you.” Heeseung seethed while he forced a big smile on his face.
“Are you kidding? There’s no way Minji ain’t getting that crown with me carrying her to the top!” Bang Chan completely undeterred by Heeseung’s backhanded statement proceeded to lift Minji up with one arm causing her to squeal.
“Jaeyun, let’s sign up.” Heeseung said to his boyfriend while burning holes into Bang Chan with his eyes.
“What? You said these games were lame when we were walking here.” Jaeyun whispered to his boyfriend quizzically.
“Did I say that?”
“Hyung, you literally and I quote, said “these games are a direct appropriation and spectacle of farm culture, only used to earn money and free labour from their guests. Also, they’re lame.”” Jaeyun stated plainly.
“Well maybe I want to immerse myself in said appropriation and spectacle-ing or whatever I said alright! Besides, it could be fun since we’re doing it together. I wanna win you that slushie machine baby.” Heeseung squeezed Jaeyun’s hand and rubbed his nose against the other’s.
“Get a room!” Asher coughed and everyone laughed. Jaeyun flushed pink and his insides turned to slushie. Honestly, more than the games itself, Jaeyun was looking forward to being able to do conventionally couple-things with his boyfriend. Seoul, although growing more tolerant of relationships like theirs, was still largely unaccepting of them especially with public displays of affection.
Hence, they rarely even held hands in public unless they were in a less-than-crowded area. Since they’ve landed in Brisbane, no one hardly batted an eye when they hugged or kissed in front of them. Now Jaeyun could look cute while his big, strong boyfriend carried him in his arms in front of a crowd. The prospect was horrifyingly embarrassing to the introvert within him, but his inner princess was giggling in excitement.
“Ok let’s goooo!” Jaeyun cheered while raising Heeseung’s hand in his. Yeah, this was going to be fun.
It was fun, the first game, and then the second, perhaps even at the third. However, after frantically peeling 80 odd potatoes, being lifted up and down like a fucking jack-in-a-box a dozen times to catch hanging donuts in his mouth and being dragged across a mud pool manically by his boyfriend, Jaeyun was fucking winded. Jaeyun crouched down to catch his breath, these games obviously not suited for the city boy he was.
“Damn it, it’s 2-1.” Heeseung muttered under his breath as he wiped the sweat off his brow with his mud-stained hands. Jaeyun suspected that the count was not referring to their score against the entire pool of players, as much as their score against Bang Chan and Minji. Jaeyun panted as he watched his boyfriend give the biggest stare down to Bang Chan as he piggybacked Minji and ran laps in celebration of winning the Mud Crawl before stopping in front of them.
“C’mon, we can win the sack race. Let’s go.” Heeseung held his hand towards Jaeyun to lead them to the next game. The sack race required more coordination than strength, and Heeseung was sure he and Jaeyun had a better advantage.
“I’m tired hyung, how about we stop here?” Jaeyun shook his head as he panted heavily. The thought of even stepping into a potato sack made him want to pass out.
“What? No c’mon I’m getting you that slushie machine.” Heeseung had already started getting in the rugged brown sack and wiggled enough room on his left for Jaeyun.
“Let’s just go back to the house. I don’t need the slushie machine hyung, really.” Jaeyun offered.
“Hey Heeseung-ssi, that was a pretty tight race huh. Think you could win this one?” Bang Chan jeered from their side, three sacks away from them. Heeseung huffed, it was childish but the oil only fueled his desire to win even more.
“Get. In. the. Sack. Babe.” Heeseung gritted his teeth as he opened the entrance of the sack even wider, gesturing for Jaeyun to get in.
Jaeyun fucking lost it.
“I DON’T WANT TO HYUNG! I’M COVERED IN MUD, I’M THIS CLOSE TO PASSING OUT, AND MY NEW JEANS ARE RUINED! I’M GOING BACK TO THE HOUSE AND YOU CAN JUMP AROUND IN THAT STUPID SACK BY YOURSELF!” Jaeyun stormed off away from Heeseung towards the buggees. He knew everyone was staring at them if the pin-drop silence behind them was any indication.
“Jaeyun baby, wait!” Heeseung scrambled to run after his boyfriend and tripped over the offensive brown cloth beneath his feet as he ran towards him. They rode the buggee back to their house in silence. They had only fought a few times, but Heeseung could tell Jaeyun was pissed beyond measure.
Heeseung groaned as he peeled off his shoes, covered in crusty mud at their front door. He trailed behind Jaeyun like a guilty puppy: not knowing what to do, yet not wanting to lose distance from its owner. Jaeyun entered their master bedroom and put his hand up to stop Heeseung from entering.
“I’m going to take a one-hour bath to cool off before I say something I regret. You can wait out here in your filth. Don’t even think about getting mud on the furniture, I’m not paying for extra cleaning.” With that, Jaeyun closed the door in Heeseung’s face.
Heeseung took a deep sigh and laid down on a section of floor not covered by carpet. Technically, he could shower in the guest bathroom but all his toiletries and clothes were in their shared bedroom and he felt like Jaeyun would go feral if he even dared to open the door that was closed in his face.
Heeseung took out his phone and opened the Instagram app to see that Jaeyun had posted a bunch of private stories. He clicked the round green icon and felt his insides crumble as he clicked story after story: a picture of them holding cherries they had proudly handpicked, a selfie of them mid-shriek when a goat attempted to bite Heeseung’s head off, pictures of the beautiful scenery and delicious foods, and finally a picture of him. Jaeyun must have taken it when Heeseung was unaware, he was leaning over a fence pointing at horses in the distance with the captions you’re the love of my life: Lee Heeseung in type font.
I’m an asshole. This trip was supposed to about them, but somehow whatever resolve he had before getting on that plane was gone the moment he met Jaeyun’s ex. He had done the one thing he told himself he would not do, which was to project his insecurities on Jaeyun. This was the very thing that allowed him to let Jaeyun go five years ago even though every fibre in his being told him that he it was not what he wanted. And he was doing it again, just because he was afraid that Jaeyun would leave him, that he was not good enough.
Heeseung laid on the floor covered in mud and regret, as he waited for Jaeyun to be done. After about an hour, Jaeyun opened the door of the master bedroom freshly showered in his pajamas, with his two-piece suit laid out on the bed for the evening. Right, there was still the dinner. Jaeyun did not say a word as he did his skin care.
Heeseung peeled himself off the floor, entered the bedroom to gather his necessities before going into the still steaming bathroom to wash the grime off him. The shower did make him feel a thousand times better and helped to clear his head. He would not rush Jaeyun to forgive him, his boyfriend had every right to be mad from his childish behaviour, but he owed it to Jaeyun to be vulnerable and admit his wrongs.
They pretty much worked in silence after that. They put on some light make up, styled their hair, and put on their suits. Heeseung felt a sliver of hope when Jaeyun clicked his tongue in annoyance and helped to adjust Heeseung’s lopsided tie. “You look very handsome” Heeseung said as a matter of fact, although it was dangerous timing seeing as Jaeyun still had his hands around his neck-tie a.k.a a choking hazard. He was not trying to appease his boyfriend or curry favour in any way, Jaeyun looked stunning in his sleek black suit and pants that clung around his tiny waist, his silver locks were back combed with just a few strands framing his forehead.
“Shut up.” Jaeyun muttered, while his cheeks dusted pink. Heeseung tried to hide his grin at Jaeyun’s cuteness. His boyfriend was still mad after all.
“I’m still mad at you. But I don’t really wanna go to the dinner reception with us still fighting.” Jaeyun puffed his cheeks and used his fist to lightly hit Heeseung’s chest.
“Can we talk then? Please?”
They sat on the edge of the bed and Heeseung took Jaeyun’s hand in his, he rubbed his thumb over his boyfriend’s pretty fingers affectionately.
“I know I’ve been a little unhinged today.” Heeseung started.
“Try again.”
“I’ve been a colossal asshole.” Heeseung tried.
“Continue.”
“I wish I could say that it’s because you gave me a reason to be jealous, that you flirted with your ex in front of me and so I got possessive. Or that it was because Bang Chan tried to get with you in front of me. But it’s none of that. Yet when I look at him, I can’t imagine why you would choose someone like me. I’m fucked up in many ways, I know you love me yet I struggle to believe it most days. Many times I wonder when you’re gonna get sick of me and realise that you could do so much better. I know we’ve talked about this before, and my therapist has as well. “These are perceptions, not facts.” You’ve never given me any evidence to prove me right. Yet I chose to listen to my insecurities rather than you, and for that I’m sorry Jaeyun.
There’s no excuse for my actions today. This trip was supposed to be about you, and about us. I got carried away in my jealousy and ruined this trip with your friends. Let me make it up to you the rest of the evening, please.”
Jaeyun sighed and tilted his boyfriend downcast chin up to look at him.
“Hyung, I’ve been in front of you this whole time. I’ve barely even batted an eye at Chris, but you on the other hand, you’ve been staring at him the entire day.” Heeseung yelped when Jaeyun yanked at his tie to press their foreheads together. “Fix your eyes on me, and only me. Got it?” Jaeyun whispered against his lips. Fuck, this was not the time to get hard. Down boy, down!
“Yes.” Heeseung gulped. Jaeyun pressed a chaste kiss to Heeseung’s lips and stood up to straighten his suit.
“C’mon, let’s go to dinner.”
--
The dinner was fine. If Jaeyun’s friends felt awkward after their mid-afternoon outburst, they did not say anything about it. Heeseung made effort to be friendly and talk to the others, Bang Chan included, to lighten the atmosphere. As the night went on, and more wine was poured, the mishaps of the day were quickly forgotten by everyone. The guests cheered when the newlyweds entered the dining hall. After the feast was devoured, the music blasted from the speakers and the pristine crowd danced happily in circles.
The guests around Heeseung were very impressed by his moves, hell, even Bang Chan was saluting and clapping for him. Jaeyun watched fondly as Heeseung made his way back to him grinning from ear to ear, after winning over the crowd.
Soon the newlyweds retired for the night, and everyone whistled as Davis carried his bride, in true bridal fashion of course, off to their secluded guest house. The crowd died down after that, everyone bidding their goodnights after their early morning and long day.
Jaeyun bit his bottom lip tentatively as he touched Heeseung’s arm.
“Hyung, I’m going to talk to Chris for a bit. Alone.” Heeseung’s breath was caught in his throat at Jaeyun’s statement. He felt it, that nasty twisting and turning inside him telling him to take Jaeyun’s hand and run off in the other direction. No, trust him. He told himself mentally. He nodded and gave Jaeyun a smile in assurance.
Heeseung walked over to Sean and the rest to give Jaeyun some privacy as his boyfriend tapped Chris on the shoulder and told him something before, they stepped away from the crowd. Thankfully Sean and Asher were LoL enthusiasts like himself and they managed to sustain a conversation despite the language difficulties, pulling ranks and mains and whatnot.
In the corner of his eye, Heeseung saw Bang Chan and Jaeyun envelope each other in a warm hug before they made their way over to where he was standing with the rest of the group. He was caught by surprise when Bang Chan walked straight to him and tapped his arm.
“Heeseung-ssi, could I talk to you for a minute? In private.” Heeseung had never seen the perpetually smiling Australian look so serious before and it nerved him.
“Sure.” Jaeyun gave a sharp look to his boyfriend as they walked away. Play nice, hyung. “I’ll meet up with you later babe.”
Bang Chan led them outside the dining hall, away from the group as well as the farm staff now clearing the tables and stacking the chairs. They walked for about five minutes until they reached a secluded sitting area, their only light source from a kerosene lamp hung overhead from a nearby metal pole.
Is he going to murder me here? He very well could, Heeseung contemplated. What if this was one of those premediated murders where the vengeful ex-lover spends years getting jacked up at the gym jus so he could strangle his ex’s new lover to death and bury him beneath the soil in some secluded farm in outer Brisbane?
“I’m not going to murder you. Are you insane?” Bang Chan’s face scrunched up in insult. Fuck, did he say that out loud again? He really needed to fix that habit.
“We’ll see, the night’s not over yet. Although I don’t go down without a fight so your face will probably get all scratched up if you try it.” Heeseung put his arms up Bruce Lee style in preparation for a show down.
“You are insane.” Bang Chan muttered to himself as he took a deep breath. “Calm down bro, I just wanna talk.” Heeseung sat down on the far side of the bench after Bang Chan patted the space beside him.
“I want to apologise for riling you up today Heeseung-ssi, although to be fair, you do make it really easy.” Bang Chan gave him that Cheshire grin that Heeseung wanted to punch off his face. Thankfully he continued before Heeseung could walk off.
“I don’t hate you Heeseung-ssi. I just wasn’t sure if you were a good guy. I know it’s none of my business, but this is not because I’m still in love with Jake, I’m not. But he’s still a friend I really care about so forgive me if I was skeptical when I found out that he got back together with the same ex who caused him so much misery his first year in college.”
“You don’t know anything about us.” Heeseung replied plainly but not harshly. There’s no way for Bang Chan and his friends to understand the nuances of their relationship, and he was in no obligation to explain anything to him.
“You’re right, I don’t, and I gave you a hard time because of my preconceived notions. I guess it doesn’t matter after all, I can tell Jake loves you and trusts you, and I trust him.” Heeseung found it hard to get angry with Bang Chan’s sincerity. He kind of reminded him of Jay: confident, honest, and unafraid to be vulnerable.
“It’s alright, I was acting like a dick towards you as well, I’m sorry about that. I wanted to hate you just because of who you were to Jaeyun, but I can see that you were good for him. I’m happy he met someone like you in this place.” Bang Chan smiled and stood up, offering his hand to Heeseung which he took. The shook hands in a mutual understanding and made their way back towards the dining hall.
“We totally had a bro-ment back there. Can I call you hyung now?”
“Don’t push it.”
--
“I can’t believe you thought he was going to murder you!” Jaeyun howled in laughter as they approached their guest house. They had decided to take a nice, leisurely stroll back rather than hitching a buggee, just enjoying each other’s company and chatting in the spring breeze after their rollercoaster of emotions the entire day.
“You weren’t there babe! I swear it was the perfect spot for a homicide.”
“If anyone’s going to murder you first, it’s probably going to be me.” Jaeyun teased as they entered the front door. The moment the door clicked shut, Heeseung pushed Jaeyun back against it, his left arm caging him in.
“That’s enough talk about Chris. I’ve had to endure you looking like this the whole night and I’m at my wit’s end.” Jaeyun whined when Heeseung held his face tightly with his right hand, finger swiping slowly on his thick bottom lip. “Let’s get you prepped baby. I wanna taste you.”
Heeseung pulled Jaeyun’s hand to lead them into the bedroom. He was expecting Jaeyun to head into the bathroom to get prepped but instead he yelped in surprise when Jaeyun pushed him back against the mattress and proceeded to sit on his lap, wrapping his arm around his boyfriend’s neck.
“Actually hyung, I have a surprise for you..” Jaeyun whispered into Heeseung’s ear seductively, taking his boyfriend’s hand and leading it to the curve of his ass. Heeseung cocked his head in confusion. If Jaeyun wanted him to squeeze his ass he would gladly do so. Heeseung captured Jaeyun’s lips in his as he massaged his plump ass, and that’s when he felt it: something stiff against his fingers.
“Is that?” Heeseung gaped in shock, he pressed the hard knob deeper into Jaeyun experimentally over his trousers, causing Jaeyun to moan and bite his lip in restraint. He’s had a butt plug inside him this whole time?!
“When did you even do this?” Heeseung asked as he continued to make minute push and pulls to the plug with his fingers. “Ah! In.. in the.. bath.. when we got home.” Jaeyun had been enduring and suppressing his heat the entire night and he was trying his best not to unravel right then and there in his dress pants.
“While we were still fighting??” Heeseung could not believe his ears. To think he was moping on the living room floor covered in mud, wallowing in self-pity and Jaeyun was doing.. this.
“I had planned this weeks ago! It’s not my fault you decided to be an idiot and piss me off.” Jaeyun pouted, slightly embarrassed by Heeseung’s pleased grin. Heeseung leaned forward to kiss his pout away.
“Mmm and what would you have done if we didn’t make up?”
“I would have cried and jerked off by myself.” Jaeyun mumbled.
Heeseung chuckled and lifted Jaeyun up by his ass to drop him onto their king-sized mattress. Jaeyun bounced on the bed and licked his lips in anticipation as Heeseung hovered over him hungrily, eyes darkened.
“We can’t have that can we.”
The taller boy wasted no time to capture Jaeyun’s luscious lips in his. Jaeyun moaned into the kiss as Heeseung used his tongue to taste the deepest parts of Jaeyun’s mouth, still able to taste the wine and traces of dessert they had over dinner.
When they finally separated to catch their breaths, Heeseung made quick work of stripping Jaeyun of his two-piece suit. His hardened cock was growing incredibly tight in his trousers, and he needed to get his hand on Jaeyun’s ass as quickly as possible.
The blazers were done away and thrown to some corner of the room, Heeseung unbuttoned Jaeyun’s white dress shirt and pushed them aside to reveal perk nipples and soft abs. He was about to unclasp his trousers when he noticed white lace peeking through the hem.
“What’s this?” Jaeyun covered his face bashfully as his boyfriend unzipped his pants and removed them. The vision that Heeseung was graced with was almost enough to make him cream his pants.
Contrasting Jaeyun’s golden skin, was a delicate white lace garter that clung to his waist. The frills on the waistband were soft and pretty against the definition of his abs. Two lace straps travelled down, connecting to thick lace bands that where a tinge too tight for Jaeyun’s deliciously thick thighs. The cherry on the cake was the simple white panties hugging Jaeyun’s hips that were barely able to keep in his leaking cock.
Fuck, what did Heeseung do in his past life to deserve such a sexy boyfriend like Jaeyun. Heeseung took a deep breath to contain himself, seeing Jaeyun like this below him was making him dizzy.
“Fuck, babe. What.. when.. I can’t even speak. You look.. wow.. Fuck.” Heeseung rambled a stream of gibberish and he traced the lace straps with his finger. Jaeyun blushed all the way down his chest.
“Do you like it? We didn’t talk about this before, I didn’t know if it would be too much.” Jaeyun asked shyly, his eyes peeking out from behind his hands.
“Of course I do! You don’t even need to ask that, you look fucking heavenly baby.”
Heeseung peeled Jaeyun’s hands away from his face and looked into his big brown eyes, peering into his whole world. They explored each other’s warm bodies with their hands, Heeseung not being able to get enough of his boyfriend’s plump and firm ass.
“Skip the foreplay today hyung, I need your cock inside me now.” The plug inside was pressing uncomfortably against his prostate, edging him for longer than he could bear. He was not going to last long and he needed to be filled now.
Heeseung growled and flipped Jaeyun around face down onto the mattress, he pulled up Jaeyun’s ass to reveal a pretty, pink knob with crystals on it. Heeseung pulled his panties to the side and Jaeyun gasped as Heeseung held on tightly to the plug and released it from his ass slowly. It was smaller and shorter than the typical plug, which explained how Jaeyun survived an entire dinner with it. Wait.. doesn’t that mean that Jaeyun was plugged up when he hugged Chris after their talk?
Heeseung smacked Jaeyun’s ass causing him to yelp and whine against the pillow. “Hyung please.. what are you waiting for?” Heeseung was taking too long, he lost his patience for his cock a long time ago.
“I was just thinking about you wearing this.. while you talked and hugged your ex-boyfriend in front of me.” Heeseung pulled the dainty straps that clung to Jaeyun’s thighs and released them to snap against his skin. “Ah!” Jaeyun’s cheek was fully resting against the pillow, his thighs trembled barely able to hold his ass up.
“You did this on purpose huh? Knew it would rile me up? Is that what you wanted baby? Wanted hyung to punish you?” Heeseung continued to mock the drooling boy, smacking his ass and watching it giggle upon impact.
“No hyung! I didn’t mean to. The whole night, I’ve only been thinking about you. I could barely think about anything else.” Jaeyun whined against the pillow, turning his head to look at Heeseung with pleading eyes.
“What your color baby?”
“Green.” Heeseung smirked at his answer. This was right up Jaeyun’s alley.
“Hmm I don’t know about that. You’ve been bad Jaeyun, maybe I should just fuck you with your little toy and call it a night. You don’t deserve my cock.” Heeseung took the pink silicone stub and stuffed it into Jaeyun’s gaping hole. It hit right at Jaeyun’s prostate causing him to scream in pain and pleasure.
“Nooo hyung please! I don’t want to cum like this. I want you please.” Jaeyun cried out desperately as Heeseung continued to fuck him with the plug relentlessly.
“What do you want? I want to hear you beg for it.”
“Your cock, I need your cock so bad hyung! I’m sorry for what I did. Now please just fuck me, I want to feel your cum.” Jaeyun pushed his hips back invitingly towards Heeseung.
Honestly, it did not matter what Jaeyun had said at this point. Heeseung was just as desperate to feel Jaeyun’s walls on him. He pulled out the plug at one go and threw it aside, grabbing the lube and frantically squeezing too much slick onto his member. Jaeyun purred as he felt that familiar head pressing into his entrance.
Heeseung sighed and he watched Jaeyun’s ass suck him in hungrily. He wasted no time to allow Jaeyun to adjust, this wasn’t that type of fuck. He grabbed Jaeyun’s hips in his hands and slammed his hips forward, fucking him with as much force his legs could muster. Jaeyun sang a chorus of moans as he allowed himself to be used the way fantasized the whole night.
The panties were getting in the way of his thrusts and without thought Heeseung ripped them with his hands to allow himself more room for a clean slide. It did not take long before both of them felt that familiar heat rising in their bellies.
“I’m close hyung, don’t stop. Keep fucking me like that, please!” Jaeyun mumbled, he was so so close he just needed Heeseung to tip him over the edge. Jaeyun’s legs almost gave out when he came untouched, squirting hard all over his chest with a scream. Heeseung almost blacked out when he came hard inside Jaeyun’s warm hole, filling him up so much that some cum was already spilling out as he slowed down his thrusts.
They collapsed onto the mattress, muscles completely rendered useless. After taking a few seconds to catch their breath, Heeseung got off Jaeyun and pulled his softening cock out, he groaned as he saw his white release trick out of his boyfriend’s slightly puffy hole.
Heeseung collapsed next to Jaeyun, both still on their chests, lightly panting. Jaeyun looked gorgeous like this, his hair messy, some strands sticking to his forehead with sweat. Heeseung caressed his cheek with his hands and Jaeyun kissed his palm softly. Heeseung’s heart clenched as appreciated his lover in front of him, feeling like the luckiest man alive.
“What are you thinking about?” Jaeyun pressed Heeseung’s forehead lightly with his finger, seeing his boyfriend’s face turned contemplative.
“That you’re right in front of me, and I never want to let you out of my sight.”
