“Mother, look!”
The child’s eyes sparkled as the gold glowing butterfly flew from his hands, disappearing into nothing.
“Oh Loki, you did it! I'm so proud of you!”
The boy smiled happily, slowly conjuring another.
“You will be ready for bigger things soon, dear.”
The boy adored his mother and as much as he loved the magic for itself, he loved to see her proud.
He took a deep breath and whispered the spell again, this time concentrating with all his childish will.
A dozen bright gold butterflies lit from his hands and flew way up high before they faded.
