Chapter Text
Technoblade and Wilbur's lives have been intertwined from the moment they came out of their mother's womb.
They were born together, and thus, given away together when they were a year old. With that,we can assume they don't really remember anything from before the foster home.
If you saw Wil without Techno, then something was definitely wrong, and vice versa. They did everything together, and knew everything about each other,so if one of them was kidnapped to get information on the other, then they would get an entire biography.
That is to say,if they get anything out. They,Techno and Wil,actually made a pact about said situation when they were eight, but let's not get into detail just yet. All you need to know is that Techno wanted to make it into a blood pact. Yeah,Wilbur fortunately shot that idea down. Though he did consider it for a few short seconds.
Now Tommy,on the other hand, was found when the twins were six. Techno and Wil found him on the side of the road on a rainy day in some sort of box that was obviously wet. Geeze, bro, whoever this kid's parents are, they did not want him.
Then what happened? You guessed it. Techno and Wil tool him home, cuz hey, they've got a free damn brother and they won't complain. So, at the age of six, Technoblade and Wilbur found Tommy and their duo became a trio.
So now picture two wet and muddy six year olds, coming in with a baby, possibly barely a year old, saying that they've apparently aquired a new brother on the way home. Yeah,I'd have questions, too.
The caretakers obviously were worried and confused because where the hell did you get a baby!?
But fortunately, they agreed to keep Tommy, upon hearing the twins' story.
Well, anyways, since then, said baby has cried if not fed, changed, carried and bathed by either Techno or Will, and since they were six year olds who barely had any idea on how to hold a baby,Tommy was a crying mess within the first week or two of his arrival at the foster home.
The caretakers and nuns told them that since Tech and Will brought him here,he kinda imprinted on them. Wilbur once mentioned how Tommy was like a baby chick, and they were his mom's since he's imprinted on them. Techno found it kinda funny.
Unfortunately for the twins, though, they also had to sleep with Tommy. Now, take the fact that it's Tommy here into consideration. He's a living siren.
But cons of bringing home a baby and not buying noises cancelling earplugs aside, the twins did get to name him so hooray for everyone.
Techno insisted on Theseus, cuz man that's cool. Wil insisted on Thomas, though, cuz he said Tommy looked like a fancy baby (whatever that means.
In the end, they decided to just name him both and call him Tom-Tom or Tommo or something like that because damn it,names do NOT have the right to be so complicated.
Everything was fine within the past few months. Wilbur and Technoblade have grown to understand that this chubby little guy that was Tommy was now theirs to take care of.
Wow,okay, that made them sound crazy powerful. I mean, they are, considering that everything they teach Tommy will affect his entire life. Anxiety go brrrrr—
But anyway, with power comes great responsibility. Thus, Wil and Techno were in charge of teaching him how to walk, talk and unfortunately for everyone else, they were also in charge of teaching him everyone's names.
Most of them were addressed with very, very offensive descriptions of their appearances and personalities for awhile, like grumpy guy with the glasses, until the caretakers forced them to "teach him proper names,or so help me,no dessert for both of you for a week!"
Such killjoys,am I right?
Needless to say,Tommy's first word was definitely the one event that Techno and Wil were most excited about. After a few weeks of convincing Tommy to just say something, Techno had finally won, with Tommy's first word being a not so clear "Tech." Though Wilbur was sulky,he deemed that "Wil" being Tommy's second word a day after was enough.
When Tommy turned two,his birthday being the day the twins found him, he started to wonder why the caretakers had always called him a different name. Apparently, his proper name was Tomathy.
Talk about a bad name choice. He didn't like it, obviously,so he started referring to himself in third person, like "Tommy wants to eat," or "Tommy doesn't like peanuts."
Sad to say, it didn't work. The caretakers and nuns mostly thought it was a bad habit he'd grow out of. After all,he's two. What does he know?
The only people who knew what he was trying to do were Techno and Wil,since he only spoke like that when someone doesn't call him Tommy.
They only laugh at the thought, since they're name changed victims, too.
Techno is sometimes called Sonny by the caretakers to avoid saying Technoblade. Most of the time,he's "Theodore," or "Tyler." I know right? Who tf is Tyler?
Anyway,Wilbur gets called Wilson,William, Wilbert, but never Wilbur. Heck,he's been called Billy before, and he doesn't even know what to do with that information. They really don't know how,or where others even get these names. They just keep coming.
A short three years pass since Tommy's second birthday, and the foster home people still can't seem to grasp their actual names.
Tommy tries to show everyone his hatred for the name "Tomathy" and "Thomas," by scrunching up his face everytime he hears them. Techno and Wil only laugh at him, trying to convince him that it doesn't matter if he's Tomathy to the caretakers, since it really doesn't change the fact that his real name is Tommy. Tommy blames Wilbur.
He really doesn't mind the name Theseus. Techno's got a knack for names, actually. It's pretty cool compared to Thomas. He likes it, and will proudly answer when addressed like it.
In the end,Tommy just played along and answered to Tomathy, though it pained him. The nuns, preachers and caretakers can't seem to take a hint anyway, so Tommy just gave up.
Now, usually, on the weekdays, Techno and Wil have to do their morning chores and run errands in town. They have to leave Tommy with his friends at the foster home.
Technoblade and Wilbur are one of the oldest children left in the foster home. There are atleast three more or so, also running errands, but most of their batch mates have either been adopted or chose to set off on their own, which is foolish really.
It's not that they're weird or anything. They don't pick their boogers around people who look for kids to adopt either. They've been offered homes before, sure. But they've always refused. Most people come to take home only one child, so that's gonna be a big problem for them. Luckily enough, the caretakers only sigh and move on.
Techno and Wil have told the caretakers so many times before that if someone wants to adopt them, they should be willing to take in three messy, hard headed, loud, energetic and chaotic children.
That's the deal with Techno and Wil, but what about Tommy? The caretakers, of course, had explained to them that if Tommy was adopted, these people could give him a better life than eating boiled eggs and potatoes for breakfast. Tommy was happy with this kind of life, living with Techno and Wil, but what does he know? He's five!
Who are they to refuse an opportunity for Tommy? If it's for the better of Tommy, then agreeing is the only thing they could do.
So, at the age of ten, Technoblade and Wilbur had agreed to let Tommy go once a door to a good life opens.
Of course, since they knew Tommy could knew adopted any time, they chose to baby him. They weren't obvious since Tommy would know what's up, but they started bringing him donuts and stuff from time to time.
Not that they didn't before. They just did it more frequently.
On the night before Tommy's seventh birthday, Techno and Wil were informed that in four days, Tommy, their little Tommy, their baby brother, was going to get adopted by strangers who apparently could give him anything he wants.
They were scheduled to talk to Tommy's 'future parents' tomorrow, given that they're technically his brothers, to ask questions, to get to know them, and to get to know what kind of future life awaits their little Tommy.
And in bed, slept Tommy comfortably, unknowing of how his life is going to change in four days time.
The three of them, sleeping, full of excitement for tomorrow.
Like they always did when they thought Tommy was going to be with them forever.
