Unintended Series: Part 13 Heaven Is A Place On Earth

He felt dizziness, and then he felt nothing at all. The sound of Barbatos chanting in his ear faded. The darkness around him faded. The odor of blood faded. He felt every part of him reducing down to a single element. He thought he should feel panic or horror at the thought of winking out of existence, but he felt nothing. He heard Barbatos speaking again. A single command, and then a rush of magic infused him. Now he felt EVERYTHING. It was as if the universe had sucked him in and then spat him back out.

That momentary loss of control stopped. He felt himself within a physical body once more. This body felt different, but he didn’t understand why. All he knew was that he was in cold water. It was moving lazily all around him, making him feel like a stone. It was so cold he felt his teeth begin to chatter. He raised himself up and sat back. His body was slick with water, and he was completely nude. He was in a creek. He lifted himself to stand, and the water meandered around his shins. The creek bed was rocky, and it hurt the soles of his feet. To his right there was a thick forest. To his left he saw a house with a light on the back. That light bobbed around until it was shining directly on him. “Lucifer?!” He heard a voice call his name. The light dropped to the floor, and he heard a screen door squeak open and bang shut. The light had temporarily blinded him, but he could see a figure running toward him. It was her. He would recognize her anywhere.

“MC?” Her name was a whisper on his lips. She reached to him, taking no heed of the water. She took the robe she wore off and draped it over his shoulders.

“Let’s get you inside the house. You’ll freeze to death out here.” Her arm wrapped around his waist, and she pulled his arm over her shoulders. He didn’t need the help walking, but he indulged in her embrace. “It’s really you, right? This isn’t some dream?” Her voice shook. He stopped walking and pulled her over to stand before him. His hands reached up to cup her cheeks. She was even more beautiful than he had remembered.

“It’s me. I’m here with you now.” He assured her. Even in the dark of night he could see the smile lighting up her face.

“Finally.” She sighed, turned her face into his palm and kissed it. “Let’s get you inside. There are some clothes for you in the closet. Barbatos made sure you have a phone, and I found this safe in the closet, too. It has a combination lock, but we haven’t been able to find the code. It’s with the things Barbatos picked out for you, so perhaps you know it.” She rambled and tugged on his hand to lead him up the steps onto the screened in back porch of the house. Hearing her babble made him chuckle. He had missed her voice so badly.

When they stepped inside the house from the porch he felt a rush of warm air wrap around him. He really did need something warmer to wear than an ill-fitting fluffy pink robe. “I’m going to start some tea. It’ll help warm you up.” She pulled out a kitchen stool for him to sit on while she started opening cupboards and filling a teapot with water to boil. “Are you hungry?”

“I don’t know. I... honestly, I’m not sure what I feel. Something happened in the Devildom... I... can’t quite remember. I think I was badly injured. This may be an all new body.” He looked down at his hands. His nail polish was gone, and it made him sad. His brothers... for just a moment their solemn faces flashed in his mind. He heard Mammon’s voice in his head assuring him he’d take care of them in his stead. Lucifer shook his head to try to clear the sad memory. He didn’t want to remember whatever had happened. He knew he would have to face it eventually, but for now he just wanted to relish being in her company again. “What about you, MC? How have you been since we last met? You look different, too. More... voluptuous.” He smirked as his eyes raked over her slightly more rounded curves.

“MC, dear? Is something wrong? I thought I heard you on the porch... Lucifer?!” Lucifer turned in his stool to face the owner of the voice. Standing at the foot of a stairway, Simeon was naked from the waist up, wearing only grey sweat pants. His hair had grown past his shoulders, and it hung partially in his face. He looked like he’d just climbed from a comfortable bed. Lucifer looked from the angel and back to MC. She, too, wore a skimpy button down nightshirt that looked like it went with Simeon’s sweat pants. He felt his anger and jealousy flare to life as he stood abruptly from the stool. He expected his wings and horns to erupt, but... nothing. His anger and jealousy were there, but he felt none of his magical aura.

“Luci? What’s going on?” MC moved over to his side as he stood looking himself over.

“Why am I not in my demon form right now. I should be in my demon form!”

“Why should you be in your demon form?” Simeon asked, coming nearing. He spun to face the angel.

“Because clearly the two of you have made yourselves a happy little home here! The moment I can’t be near you swoop in to steal her away from me, and you call yourself an angel!” His voice boomed with his anger.

“Shh! Quiet! You’ll wake the b...” Simeon’s eyes went wide, and he held a finger to his lips.

“Are YOU shushing ME?!” Lucifer cut him off. His tirade was cut short by crying. A baby’s crying. Lucifer looked down to his hip. The wailing was coming from the pocket of the robe. “What is this?” He reached into the pocket and produced some kind of speaker.

“Oh, damn it.” MC groaned.

“I’ll go get her.” Simeon rushed past them to another set of stairs, these ones led down. Lucifer looked over to MC. On her nightshirt were two wet spots located directly overtop her nipples.

“What’s happening here, MC? You decided my brothers and I weren’t enough, so you had to bed Simeon as well?”

“Do you really not trust me? I mean, yeah, I slept with your brothers, but it was Mammon’s fault. Him and that stupid Enochian spell. Simeon is here to protect us.”

“I don’t need his protection!”

“Not you and I us. Rebekah and me.” MC’s face softened as Simeon returned, a bundled up infant in his arms. The child was still letting out whimpers and cries, but nothing like the wailing it had done. MC took the child.

“You two go over by the fireplace. I’ll finish making tea.” Simeon instructed. MC walked over toward the living room, flipped a switch and the fireplace whooshed to life. She settled into a chair.

“Luci, can you get me the pillow from the sofa, please?” He walked numbly to the sofa. There he saw all the detritus associated with an infant. How had he not noticed it when they’d walked in? He brought her the pillow. “Can you tuck it up under her and my arm?” He did. He watched wordlessly as she popped open the buttons of the shirt and tugged it open to reveal her breast. The infant fussed a bit and then latched onto her nipple. Her hand stroked the black hair of the child, and he moved around to stand behind the chair. He wanted a better look at this infant. It’s face was lit up by the fireplace enough that he could tell it looked like MC in miniature form. The same nose, the same cupid’s bow lips.

“MC... is... this is your child, yes?”

“Flip that switch right there to turn on the light. You can see her better that way.” MC pointed out a light switch on the wall. He did her bidding and returned to her side. “Lucifer, this is Rebekah.” MC looked up at him to ensure he was looking at the child. It was suckling happily at her breast, but when she stroked its forehead the tiny eyes opened. Lucifer gasped. Her eyes were the same as MC’s with one exception. Unlike a human iris, there was a second layer of color at the bottom of the eye. The half-moon was the same shade of crimson as his own eyes. Besides that, in the brighter light he could clearly see her hair was the same rich black he had, only there were wisps of scarlet mixed in. He knew the truth in his heart in that moment, but he was afraid to ask the question. “Don’t be anxious. She’ll pick up on it. She’s highly attuned to moods.” MC’s hand continued soothing the baby’s brow.

“She’s...”

“She’s our daughter, Lucifer.” He swayed on his feet for a moment, feeling faint. Simeon steadied him by grabbing his elbow.

“What... why do I feel this way?” Simeon led him to an ottoman and angled him down to sit.

“Put your head between your knees and breathe through your nose and out your mouth.” Simeon instructed. The angel’s hand rested on the back of Lucifer’s head. “Your hair is still wet. You need a hot shower and some clothes...OH!” Simeon looked down in shock. Lucifer whipped his head up to see what had surprised Simeon, but when he did it caused him to swoon a bit.

“What in the Devildom is...” Lucifer grumbled, and suddenly the baby started fidgeting and whining.

“Lucifer... you...may I touch your forehead, please? I want to check something.”

“Haven’t you pawed at me enough?” Lucifer frowned.

“Please, try to calm down, Luci. You’re making Rebekah fuss.”

“Just...” Simeon quit asking nicely and slapped his palm against Lucifer’s forehead. When he went to protest, MC scowled at him. He rolled his eyes, but abided. The angel nodded his head. “It’s true. Lucifer, you are giving off no demonic or angelic energy at all. In fact, you feel like a normal human being, soul completely intact.”

Human. That would explain a lot of things. Why he didn’t feel his magic. Why his body felt so different. Why he was getting dizzy from being surprised. Why he felt scared and anxious and overwhelmed. The memories he’d tried repressing resurfaced, and he hung his head. “Should we summon Barbatos?” MC hesitantly asked.

“No. He is probably too depleted of energy to answer your call at this point. I... Michael killed me. I don’t know if I succeeded in returning the favor. I just know I died. I died, and Barbatos brought me back by channeling Lord Diavolo’s Inherent Magic. Truthfully, such an act should leave the recipient without memories. Barbatos wove memories into my soul as he remade me. I do not know if the war with the Celestial Realm is still going. I don’t know how long has passed since that day and this. I just know it took the combined magic of the most powerful demons in the Devildom to give me this second chance to live a life with you, MC. ‘Go be with your wife and child.’ That’s the last thing Barbatos spoke to me.” MC’s eyes were wide as she listened to his story.

“Oh, Luci… you must be feeling so out of sorts. If you’re not super strong and resistant like a demon now, we really should get you warmed up and dressed.” She fretted. The baby in her arms wiggled and fussed. It brought a smile to his lips.

“You don’t need to worry about me so much. Just because I’m no longer a demon does it mean I am weak. I will take a hot shower and get dressed if Simeon can direct me toward my room. Take care of the child.”

Simeon could hardly believe his eyes when he’d first seen Lucifer in the kitchen, but the longer he was here the more it sunk in. While MC finished nursing Rebekah, he led Lucifer downstairs. “This is yours and MC’s room. Well, you can look around to inspect it all later, but for now this is the closet. There are only a few outfits for you, but they’re warmer clothes. I guess Barbatos even knew it would be late winter when you arrived here.” Lucifer looked over the clothing in the closet, but he didn’t seem to care about any of it.

“Are there no pajamas?” He frowned.

“I’m not sure. Oh! Maybe they’re in here?” Simeon opened the drawers of a built in dresser, and he located a pair of flannel men’s pajamas. On the floor of the closet was a pair of slippers, as well. “Here, I think this will suffice for now.” He handed the clothes and house shoes to Lucifer.

“Boxers?” Lucifer looked almost embarrassed.

“Oh, you wear those? I never did like the feeling of undergarments.” Simeon scrunched his nose.

“I didn’t need to know that.”

“Well, I suppose not.” Simeon chuckled. Lucifer frowned at him.

“I trust MC doesn’t know about your preference?” It was clearly meant to be a threat. He sighed and patted the former demon’s shoulder.

“She probably noticed a lack of underwear on my part, as she generally does the laundry. Just as I know how she takes her coffee, since I do most the cooking. We have had to be a team while getting her through her pregnancy and adjusting to living here. If it makes you feel any better I try to think of her as a sister. She, clearly, only ever thinks of you.” He showed Lucifer to where the bathroom was located. He took out a fresh set of towels. “MC chose some toiletries for you awhile ago. We knew you were coming, but we didn’t know when. She chose just the basics, toothbrush, deodorant, soap and shampoo. We’ll have to take you into town to go shopping once you’re up to it.” Simeon stood back as Lucifer contemplated the shower.

“So you truly are here just to protect her?” Lucifer asked.

“I sacrificed my Grace in order to protect her and Rebekah. Your child, Lucifer, is destined for great things. Barbatos knew this before she was born. He knew it possibly before she was even conceived. She is the integral part of an Optimal timeline that will bring peace to all three realms. I was honored to do my part in helping him achieve that goal, and it is a role I will see through. I hope you will learn to accept that as their guardian angel I will be staying here. Just think of me as the nanny!” He giggled, gave Lucifer a wave and closed the door behind him.

Rebekah was dozing off as she fed, so I tickled her feet to keep her awake enough to have her fill. I was still reeling from the fact Lucifer was here. I was still shocked he was human. I wanted to be happy about that, but instead it was opening a chasm of depression in my chest. If he was no longer a demon it meant he was vulnerable. It meant he could get sick. He would age. He… he would die. I had no idea what would happen to him when he died. Would he have a chance to go back to the Celestial Realm? Would he want to be there? It was all very confusing. Even more, I was worried about how he would take care of himself. Even as a demon he often neglected his own wellbeing. He would not be able to treat his body so harshly as a human. Would he even know how to take care of himself? Was that something I would need to teach him?

And what of his brothers? Would either of us get the chance to ever see them again? I would do my best to make a happy life here in the Human World for Lucifer, but he would never be happy without being able to at least talk to his brothers. “MC, relax.” Simeon came up behind me and squeezed my shoulders. “Lucifer’s showering up now. Do you want me to take over feeding her?” He offered.

“There’s no need. She’s almost done.”

“I can take her back to her crib.” he smoothed his hand over her head, ruffling the duck feather like curls on the back of her head.

“I want to do it. I want Lucifer to see her some more. He won’t take long in the shower.” I guessed. Simeon nodded.

“I understand. Go be a family together. I’ll come back downstairs to make breakfast in the morning, otherwise I’ll spend the day in my loft. Don’t be afraid to call for me if you need me, though.” The angel kissed the crown of my head and climbed the stairs back to his own room. I let out another sigh. I suddenly felt so nervous, and I didn’t understand why.

I took Rebekah back to her nursery, and we sat in the rocking chair. I could hear the sound of the shower shutting off when Lucifer had finished. He came out of the bathroom and stopped as he passed the nursery door. “MC?”

“We’re in here.” I called softly. He followed my voice and came over to look down at her again. “She’s almost full. She keeps falling asleep. I still need to burp her, too.” He smiled.

“I remember doing this for my brothers. Angels have infanthoods, too, but they don’t last long. Remind me, how long will she be a baby?”

“Simeon never mentioned angels start out as babies. Does that mean you were an infant at one point?”

“I imagine so, though I don’t recall it. My earliest memories are from when I was a bit younger than Luke. I was maybe the human equivalent of 8 years old when Mammon was created. He was a handful. Cried all the time. Still does.” Lucifer chuckled.

“Are your brothers okay, Luci? I missed them, too.”

“They are at war. It’s not the same Devildom you knew right now. They are all stronger than I ever imagined. They will be alright without me. I will have to learn to be alright without them.” I could see the sorrow in his eyes as he told me about them. Then Rebekah released my nipple and let out a yawn. The sorrow evaporated, and he laughed.

“She’s precious, MC.” I’d never seen such a big smile on his face.

“Do you want to hold her? She needs burped still.” I tried to see if he was comfortable with the idea without trying to guilt him into it. He took the cloth from my shoulder and draped it over his own. Very carefully he eased Rebekah up out of my arms to rest against his shoulder. She snuggled into him, and I could feel her contentment wash over me. Lucifer walked around the room slowly, patting gently on her tiny back. He hummed a soft melody, and almost instantly she let out a little burp.

“Now, now young lady, you can do much better than that.” He told her, increasing the pressure with which he patted her back. A couple minutes later she belched much louder and substantially, and I laughed. “That would make your Uncle Beel very proud. Good job, darling.” Lucifer pulled her down into the crook of his arm, dabbed the bit of spittle from her mouth and just stared down at her. She stared right back at him. I could feel it as the two of them instantaneously formed a bond. “My god, but she is perfect.” He whispered. He walked her over to her crib and eased her down into it. I joined him at the side of the crib. He reached down to rest a hand on her stomach, and she barely fussed. She fell asleep even as we stood over her.

I took Lucifer’s free hand to tug him out of the room, and he reluctantly followed. I eased the door to the nursery shut. “Where is my robe? I need the monitor from the pocket.”

“Oh, I left it in the bathroom.”

“I need to wash up a little anyhow. Can you get me a clean nightshirt from the closet? They should be in the same drawer where your pajamas were.” I explained.

“Of course.” He went toward the closet while I went to the bathroom. The first thing I did was locate my robe and the monitor. “I hung it on the back of the door hoping it would dry out in lieu of tossing it damp into the hamper.” Lucifer explained. He closed the door behind him. I became acutely aware of his presence.

“Thank you.” I suddenly felt shy. It wouldn’t be such a big deal, but he was acting strangely, too. I’d had some magically romantic reunion fantasy in my mind, but we really weren’t living up to it. “Um, humans are generally babies for about a year and a half. Once they start walking we call them toddlers. Overall, they only stay small for a few years before starting pre-school and kindergarten.”

“And Rebekah is how old?”

“She’ll be sixteen weeks old in two days, April 6th. She was born January 6th.”

“Exactly six months apart from me.” He grinned again. “Sixteen weeks… I’ve already missed so much.”

“You did really well with her. She adores you already. I can tell.” I tried to cheer him up.

“Does she love Simeon, too?” When I looked up from pulling the monitor from the pocket of my robe, Lucifer was pouting. It made something tug inside my chest, but it was just what I needed to get over my bashfulness. I pulled him into my arms to hold him tightly.

“Oh, Luci… she does. She is so very full of love. I’ve never been around babies before.
Were your brothers so loveable as babies? Everything she does, she does it with smiles and love shining in her eyes. She is full of magic. Barbatos said so when she was born. In fact, when I gave birth to her she was projecting so much magic Solomon had to come set up shields to keep us hidden from everyone in all three realms.” Lucifer pulled back from the hug and held my upper arms.

“Magic as in demonic magic?” He looked terrified at the idea. I nodded.

“According to Barbatos, Simeon and Solomon she is a combination of human, angel and demon. Barbatos said no one has ever been born quite as unique as she is. She is going to grow up to bring all three realms together.”

“HOW exactly is she expected to do such a thing?” He asked me, worry knitting his brow. I reached up to smooth the wrinkles with my fingertips.

“I don’t know yet, but I trust Barbatos. He has been working on this Optimal Timeline of his for a very long time. Everything he has promised me has come to be. I trust him.” He sighed.

“I need to find a way to reclaim my demon form. If she truly is as powerful as Barbatos claims she will need powerful protectors. I can’t stand by as a human while everyone else protects MY daughter.”

“Lucifer, it’ll be our job to protect her humanity. If she is going to be as strong as she needs to be we have to raise her to be the best human she can be. Simeon will help foster her angelic magic while also protecting her. Solomon will help teach her how to protect herself, as well. Barbatos gave me a totem to summon him whenever we need him. He also intimated we’ll have demonic protection, too. He never spoke of the war going on, but he didn’t seem worried about it. We’ll all have different roles in her upbringing, and I think it will be our job to give her a happy, normal human childhood. We can’t do that if you aren’t human.” He released me and leaned against the sink surround, arms crossed. Even as a human he gave off such a sophisticated, masculine aura.

“So we’re just supposed to be a normal family while Simeon the nanny lives upstairs?” He was back to pouting again.

“Look, you don’t have to worry about Simeon. He is completely oblivious to the fact I’m female. He feels more like my brother than anything. I know you don’t trust me. I’m sorry for what happened with your brothers. I… I only ever wanted you, Lucifer. Didn’t Barbatos explain any of this to you?”

“There was no time to explain anything. I was taken to the dungeons immediately the same morning you were sent here. Michael returned to get Simeon and Luke, and he brought a band of angels to invade at the same time. He apparently tried to kill Mammon, but Simeon saved him. Michael was about to Fell him for it, but he disappeared. I take it he was brought here.”

“He had to sacrifice his Grace first. Barbatos has it somewhere safe, but we don’t know when he will be able to reclaim it. He had to leave Luke behind. He is giving up so much for us. Is that all you know?”

“We were immediately thrown into war. There wasn’t much time to talk about anything else, and my brothers were scattered with their legions across the Devildom. Mammon acted as courier. I saw both him and Belphegor frequently. We didn’t talk about the times before the war.” Lucifer explained.

“It was Enochian magic. Barbatos or Diavolo told you that much, right? My connection to Lilith kept me from being corrupted by the Devildom. Instead, I was enhancing your ability to tap into your old angelic magic. It was why you were able to use that erasure spell. It was what made it possible for Mammon to accidentally cast a love spell.” I revealed.

“What?!” His eyebrows drew down in confusion.

“The first day I worked in the library with Satan, Mammon checked out a book of Enochian spells and charms. He wanted to cast a love spell on me. He didn’t think it would really work. His Enochian was rusty, so the spell he tried to cast was off. Not only that, the idiot got it stuck in his head like a song. He’d been chanting it for days. Well, it worked. I KNOW how that sounds, but Barbatos is the one who explained it to me.” The look on his face was still scary even though he was no longer a demon. “Are you pissed at me still?”

“I was never pissed at you. I was hurt. I was jealous. I wanted you all for my own. Now I just want to be able to string Mammon up from the ceiling.” He grumbled.

“That might be a bit difficult from here.” I chuckled. I peeled the pajama top I’d been wearing off and tossed it in the hamper. I could feel Lucifer’s eyes move over to take in the sight of my bare breasts. I used some baby wipes that were on the sink surround to wipe off my nipples.

“What are you doing?” Lucifer’s voice sounded softer now.

“Sometimes when Rebekah cries I’ll start lactating. I go through more shirts that way.” I groaned. I moved to pick up the nightgown he’d brought back from the closet with him, but he suddenly intersected.

“Is it odd that seeing you feed her made me both jealous and aroused?” He asked, drawing me nearer. “Honestly, at this rate I’m going to take Levi’s place as the Avatar of Envy.” He held my wrist up to his mouth and kissed it. I gulped as the zing of arousal moved from my wrist to my nether regions. He pulled me closer to him, resting his face in the crook of my neck. He inhaled deeply and kissed my skin. “You smell different. Good, but different.” He told me.

“Are you smelling the baby wipes I just used?” I asked him.

“No, it’s your chemical makeup. You have changed by becoming a mother. You have an underlying scent that just shuts my brain down. I have never experienced it with anyone else.” He explained, pulling me flush to his chest. My bare breasts pressed into the soft flannel of his pajamas. “Are you cold?” His arm wrapped around my waist moved lower, his hand cupping my ass.

“No.” I was barely able to whisper my response. His hand squeezed my ass cheek, and then moved to squeeze the other.

“You’ve rounded out nicely from carrying a child. It suits you, MC.” He laid a kiss on my neck, trailing more kisses upward to my jaw and cheek before pressing his lips to mine. I moaned at the intoxicating sensation. I wrapped my arms around his neck and leaned into his body. He used both his hands to grip my ass, pulling it against his crotch. I could already feel him starting to harden. “It’s not too soon after giving birth, is it?”

“I don’t think so.” I answered. I honestly had no idea, and I sure as hell wasn’t going to stop to look it up online. “I mean, I’m ready.” I assured him. He abruptly lifted my feet off the ground, and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

“That makes two of us.” He grinned and carried me through the doorway back to the bedroom. “I take it this is our bed?” He asked.

“Uh huh.” I replied and melded my mouth back to his. I didn’t want to talk anymore. I wanted to feel his body moving with mine. I wanted to show him just how much I missed him. We could talk more later. And then he used his words to completely undo me.

“I hope it’s sturdy.” He brought me down to lay among the tangled blankets and covered my body with his. I kissed him again, forking my fingers up into his still damp hair. His body may be human now, but to me he felt the same.

“Why did you even put clothes on…” I groaned, tugging at the buttons of his pajama shirt. He lifted himself up and pulled the shirt, still partly buttoned, off over his head. I ran my hands up his stomach and chest, letting my fingers stroke his nipple. He put his hand over mine, holding it there over his heart. I could feel it beating hard in his chest, and tears started forming in my eyes. “You’re here. You’re really here with me.” I whispered. He drew my hand to his lips and kissed my fingertips.

“Forever more. Nothing will take me away from you and Rebekah, MC. You are both mine.” He leaned back down over me, and when he kissed me he slid his tongue into my mouth. I moaned around his tongue, twining mine around it. He’d been back for at least an hour now, but the reality of it finally sunk in. Euphoria blossomed in my heart at the taste of him in my mouth. I wrapped myself around his body, and he chuckled into my mouth. “Did you miss me, darling?” I couldn’t contain my sob.

“Of course I did, you ass. Are you sure you’re really here? This isn’t a dream?” I cupped his jaw, rubbing my thumb over his chin.

“Don’t cry. It makes my chest hurt seeing tears in your eyes. I don’t know how you managed it, but you made a daughter who has both your eyes and my eyes. She’s absolute perfection. You did such a wonderful job. We should make more children. I’m sure we could take control of all three realms with our own army of perfect children.” His chest was puffed out with pride, and it made me laugh through tears. I moved my hand down his side and slid it around to worm my fingers past the waistband of his pants and boxers. I felt the thatch of his pubic hair as my fingers moved down to stroke his partially erect cock.

“You’re partly responsible, you know. Why didn’t you tell me demons could impregnate humans?” My mind wandered back to that silly dare.

“Maybe a hidden part of me wanted to fill you with my seed and have you carry my child. Mmm… I missed your adorable little hands. Squeeze it tighter, MC.” I obeyed, squeezing his shaft and stroking my hand up and down it. It felt different to me. It was still thick and long, but not quite as much as it was. Lucifer, of course, noticed as well. “Is… does my dick feel smaller to you?” The confusion on his face was very uncharacteristic. I suddenly remembered something I heard Belphegor telling Beelzebub when they were watching Human World porn.

“Aren’t human men smaller than demons? I think Belphie told me that once.” I almost hated saying it, but the look of dismay on his face was enough to set me off giggling.

“What about this is amusing to you?” He growled. I tightened my grip on him even more.

“Seeing you panic is kind of funny. Besides, I love you no matter the size of your dick. Do you want me to prove it to you?” I licked my lips after asking. I watched as he mentally came undone. He reached down to trail his fingers over my jaw and tilt my face up.

“You’ve grown bold, my love.” Lucifer smirked.

“I’ve been starving for the taste of you.” I admitted. It was true. I’d waited so long for him, I never wanted to waste time being shy ever again. “Can I taste you?” I raised myself up, and he did, too. We both faced each other on the bed on our knees. I pumped my hand up and down the still substantial girth and length of his cock, and he hung his head back and sighed. I licked the flesh of his throat upward until I got to his earlobe. I nibbled on it, pumping his dick to full hardness. I pushed on his shoulder until he fell back into the pillows. He rubbed his face into the pillowcase as I crawled between his legs.

“Mmm, the pillow smells like you.” He grinned. “Do you know I would sneak to your room at the House from time to time to lie in your bed and surround myself with your scent.” I leaned down and laid a kiss on his stomach, looking up his torso into his eyes.

“Did you sleep in my bed, because you missed me?” I smiled.

“I didn’t sleep there. I was afraid if I spent too much time in your bed it would start smelling like me instead of you. I kept my time there limited. I don’t want to have to be frugal with you ever again. I want all of you all the time.”

“Only if I get to have all of you all the time, too.” I agreed.

“Seal your deal with the devil with a kiss?” He teased.

“You aren’t the devil anymore, but I’ll seal the deal.” I planted my hands on his thighs as I kissed down his abdomen. He always hid his sleek, muscular physique, and it used to frustrate me so much. Now I was glad to be the one he chose to share it with. My nose nuzzled his navel, and I dragged my tongue along the V shape leading to his thick cock.

I curled my tongue around the head of his dick, flicking it over the hole before moving down to kiss along the side of the shaft. Lucifer sucked in a breath, and his ass clenched. I slid one of my hands from his thigh to knead his balls, lightly scratching my nails over them. I kissed up the length of his shaft again and engulfed his knob with my mouth. I let the saliva in my mouth build up, and I slurped and sucked on him. I breathed in the scent of him, tickling the tip of my nose on his pubic hair.

His hands squeezed my shoulders, and one of them moved up to hold onto my head. I let him guide my speed as I bobbed up and down on his cock. His other hand left my shoulder, and he gathered my hair into a ponytail. “Your hair’s so much longer… so beautiful.” He gasped when I raked my teeth along the top of his shaft. “MC, squeeze my balls tighter.” He requested. I clenched my hand on them, tugging as I did so, and he gasped again, lifting his hips from the bed. “Ohhh, that’s so good…” He moaned. I kept increasing my grip and my pace, and he writhed beneath me. I could barely tell any difference in the size of his manhood. If anything it made it easier to suck even more of him down my throat. “Wait…” He pulled my hair to stop me from moving. “I’m going to cum before you if you keep going. I want to be inside your pussy when I cum.” He told me.

“Are you really trying to get me pregnant again?” I asked, surprised. I wasn’t adverse to having more children with him, but I thought it would be wise to get used to having a single child for just a bit longer.

“Are you able to conceive at this stage?” It was a good question. My periods hadn’t returned yet, probably because I was still breastfeeding.

“I don’t know. Maybe we should’ve talked about all this before we started…”

“MC, I’m willing to accept the consequences of bedding you, whatever they may be. I am not willing to stop now.” He sat up from the pillows and dragged me down into the spot he’d occupied. I giggled at him.

“Guess you missed me as much as I missed you.” I told him. He dipped his fingers between my thighs to immerse them in my folds.

“Mmm, you’re so wet. You did miss me.” He lifted his fingers to his mouth and sucked my juices off them. “How do you want to come first? On my fingers or my tongue?” He asked.

“Dealer’s choice.” I let him choose.

“Tongue it is. I want you to be able to taste yourself on my tongue while I fuck you with my fingers next.” He ran his hands up under my backside, and I let out a yip when he hoisted me up until my legs were draped over his shoulders. Only my shoulders touched the bed beneath me. Lucifer supported the rest of my body, and my thighs were clamped around his head. While I was still finding my balance, his tongue parted my lips and pushed against my entrance. His nose rubbed against my clit, and I shuddered. I couldn’t recall the last time I’d touched myself. Most the time I was still too tired from taking care of a newborn. There was also a chance Simeon would come downstairs to check on Rebekah at any time. My bedroom was smack dab in the middle of the lower level with no walls or doors to hide what I did in my bed.

The sensation of Lucifer’s face burrowing into my pussy was almost too stimulating. He held me firmly in place as his tongue delved even deeper into me. “Hold yourself open for me, love.” He instructed. When I looked up my own body to his face I could see his mouth and chin were wet from me. It made me almost feel shy, but it was so erotic it turned me on even more. I moved my hands to spread myself open to him, and he sucked my clit into his mouth, drawing on it rhythmically. I moaned this time, and I could feel the vibrations when he chuckled at me. “Don’t hold back. I want you to cum in my mouth.” He drilled his tongue back into my entrance. I huffed air in and out of my lungs as my building orgasm peaked. I drew my hand back to bite my knuckle as I climaxed. I was shocked at just how much fluid gushed out of me over his tongue and lips.

Lucifer lowered my quivering body back down onto the mattress and laid overtop me. His thumb brushed my swollen pulsing clit as his mouth met mine. I felt his tongue push past my lips as his finger slid into my hole. He moved both in and out of me in tandem. I grasped at his shoulders, feeling like I was losing my mind. I wanted to tell him it was too much, but he wouldn’t give me a chance. If I’d been truly at my limit I could’ve pushed him away. I didn’t. I wanted more. I rocked my hips into his hand, riding his fingers as his tongue fucked my mouth. Just like he wanted, I could taste my own fluids in his mouth.

I broke the kiss on a gasp. “Please, Lucifer… please, I want you inside me.”

“I am inside you.” He teased, pumping his fingers more roughly into me.

“Not your fingers, YOU.” I reached down, searching for his cock, but he evaded me.

“You still don’t have any patience.” He chuckled.

“I don’t. Now fuck me, Lucifer, please?” I decided to beg. He really liked it when I did that. He sat back on his haunches and lifted me into his lap.

“Go ahead and take what you want, love.” He gave me leave to do as I pleased. I raised up and took hold of his dick. I lined it up with my entrance and sank down onto him. I wrapped my legs around him, and he gripped my hips. I rested my forehead against his chest, and he kissed the crown of my head. “Good girl, MC. Now hold on.” He was pleased, which made my heart thump wildly in my chest. I draped my arms over his shoulders, and he lifted me to slide up the length of his dick. Right before he pulled completely loose of me, he shoved me back down. I couldn’t help letting out a cry, but it didn’t wake the baby. “Shh… don’t wake the baby.” He laughed. “This really reminds me of our first time. You were bound and determined not to make a sound.” He remembered.

“I didn’t want your brothers to know. This is different.” I pouted and then clenched my eyes at the pleasure he was bringing by stroking into me.

“Fine. I will assist you in keeping quiet.” He told me and then melded his mouth to mine. I hummed into his mouth as he moved me even faster up and down his length. I could feel him throbbing inside of me. He was on the verge, and I’d already had two climaxes. For just a moment in the middle of our grinding I was awed again that he was truly here with me. I hoped to always hold on to the happiness I felt from being reunited with my lover.

My toes curled when I felt a third climax, and he abruptly flung me onto my back to pound into me. He held his hand over my mouth to drown out my shout. My own hands were balled into fists clutching his hair as our bodies slapped together. I felt his seed flood into me, coating my insides with his heat. In that moment I didn’t even care if I got pregnant again. It would be a sin to waste anything Lucifer gave me.

Lucifer was exhausted both physically and mentally. It had been a very long, very strange, very informative and very fulfilling day. He’d started the day preparing for battle with Michael. He was ending it with MC wrapped in his arms. It was a lot to take in even for him. His human body didn’t have the stamina of his demonic form, but he was no less satisfied with it. MC seemed more than happy with his performance. That was enough for him. He looked down on her as she slept. She was twined around his body protectively, and he loved her for it. Not once in his many years had he ever hoped to be human. Now that he was, it was exactly what he wanted. He DID wish he had the strength he’d had as a demon to protect his family, but knowing he would be able to have a normal life with MC was exciting. He never even dared to hope they could have such a relationship. Now they would get to grow old together. He would not outlive her and have to say goodbye to her. They could share a life together with their child. He smiled and laid another soft kiss against her temple.

His only regret was leaving his brothers alone to take on the war. He sincerely hoped he had been able to completely take out Michael with the erasure spell. He’d been too injured to live long enough to see the results. He sincerely hoped his sacrifice had been successful.

Michael stumbled through the portal back into the Celestial Realm and landed face first on the floor of his chambers. He threw his remaining hand up and shouted some Enochian words to shut the portal. He rolled over to his back and panted. He had felt the spark of Lucifer’s life wink out, but it had come at a heavy cost. He lifted his arms to see his left hand and forearm were gone. He had most of his right hand, but the thumb and fingers were all gone. In fact, by feel alone he could tell his left side had borne the brunt of the damage. He tried chanting a healing spell, but he was too depleted. Only Lucifer’s death had stopped the spell of erasure from progressing. With the last bit of strength he had within him, Michael summoned Gabriel.

The angel, known for his powerful healing capabilities, materialized at Michael’s side in a moment. He was completely disoriented, a cotton swab in one hand and a lollipop in the other. “Michael?” He dropped the candy at the sight before him.

“I need your help. The bleeding… a spell of erasure…” Speaking each word had required a monumental effort, and Gabriel seemed to not realize the gravity of the situation. “HELP ME.” He begged. Gabriel nodded and squatted beside him. With a wave of his hand the blood pumping through the stub of Michael’s left arm stopped. He pushed the glasses he wore up his nose and looked Michael up and down, surveying the damage.

“You appear to be missing parts.” Gabriel frowned. “Your left eye is gone. There’s a socket still, but the optic nerve and eyeball are gone. Left arm from the elbow down, your left foot is gone, but the rest of the leg is there. Your fingers and thumb of your right hand are gone, but the leg and foot appear intact. You’re missing your lowermost wings, leaving you with four wings total, and they are either dirty or they’ve gone grey in color. I can’t attest to your internal organs without a more thorough exam. Do you feel like you have internal bleeding?” Michael groaned. This is why he typically healed himself. Gabriel was a nuisance to deal with. “Fine. Hold still while I do an internal exam.” Gabriel fussed. He held his palm to Michael’s forehead, and the injured angel felt heat pouring into him. “Mm hm.” Gabriel hummed and nodded occasionally until he pulled his hand away. “Well, I stopped the internal bleeding, but I can’t do much else. You aren’t injured. Parts are missing. You lost your left kidney and testical. Your magic is severely depleted. Like I said, I stopped the bleeding and healed the superficial wounds, but I can’t bring back erased parts. You’ll need time to rebuild your magic, and I can tell you a few angels capable of helping you with prosthetics.” Gabriel stood back up, picked up the dropped lollipop and turned away.

“Where are you going?” Michael cried out.

“To finish tending to my patient. I had to give them a shot, but you summoned me here before I gave them a lolli. Don’t fret. You simply need rest now. I will send your attendants in to look after you.” Gabriel disappeared from the room, and Michael was forced to wait for additional help to come.

When Simeon woke up again it was morning. The house was quiet, which meant Lucifer and MC were most likely asleep. Simeon was giddy with happiness. He had come to care very much for both MC and Rebekah, and he knew their lives were going to be improved by having Lucifer there with them.

He dressed in his typical jeans and long-sleeved t-shirt and padded downstairs to the kitchen to start breakfast. He jumped when he saw Lucifer sitting at the dining room table. He had a mug of coffee and a sheaf of paperwork before him. He didn’t look any less dignified than usual, despite the fact he was wearing flannel pajamas and had his infant daughter nestled into the crook of his arm. She was feeding from one of the bottles of breast milk that MC pumped the day before.

“I see you figured out the morning routine.” Was this a tinge of jealousy he was feeling? He’d been looking forward to Rebekah’s morning feeding, but Lucifer had beaten him to it.

“I got up to use the bathroom, and I heard her start to fuss. Whose idea was it to write the routine on a dry erase board in the kitchen? That was invaluable to making the morning a smooth one.” Lucifer admitted he’d needed the help and even appreciated it. Simeon guessed maybe some things about the former demon HAD changed.

“MC and I were taking turns waking up with her, but it wasn’t working out so well. We figured we needed to both use the same routine. Babies like the security of a steady routine.” Simeon moved closer to look over the baby. Rebekah had a look of contentment on her tiny face as she suckled the silicone nipple of her bottle. Lucifer looked completely in his element. “I forget just how much experience you have with babies.” Simeon admitted.

“Taking care of one infant is nothing compared to looking after my brothers.” Lucifer smirked. “Tell me, did Barbatos say anything about me being able to see them again?” Simeon could hear the pain in Lucifer’s voice. He was trying to mask it, but Simeon heard it anyway.

“I think the only thing holding your brothers back from popping in for a visit is Rebekah’s safety. As powerful as she has the potential to become, she will live with a target on her back. Only Barbatos, Solomon and myself know that we are living here.”

“Where exactly IS here?” Lucifer asked, adjusting the bottle.

“Sevierville, Tennessee. It’s within the Smoky Mountains. It’s peaceful, serene, close to nature in a way that helps invigorate my magic and enable human magic to shield us more effectively. We live a very quiet life here.”

“I don’t recall ever visiting here before, but you’re right. It’s very quiet. Quiet makes me anxious. Usually it means my brothers are causing trouble.”

“I’m sorry you have to be parted from them. I can understand how upsetting it must be. I miss Luke terribly. You wouldn’t happen to have heard anything about him, would you?” Simeon asked. Lucifer looked up to him, and they shared a sad smile.

“I am sorry. The last I heard Michael took him back to the Celestial Realm. My brothers missed you both. Mammon in particular told me how you saved him. I suppose I owe you a debt of gratitude.” Lucifer said.

“I only brought Luke to the Devildom to meet Mammon. I didn’t have the chance to reveal the truth to them. I couldn’t let Mammon die before he found out Luke is his son.” Lucifer paled at the news. Simeon watched as he got a faraway stare in his eyes. He was putting the pieces all together.

“Huh… the Chihuahua DOES bear a strong resemblance to Mammon as a boy… I don’t know why I never put two and two together. Wait… Mammon mentioned your sister, Charmeine…”

“She died giving birth to Luke. She adored your brother. He was Felled before she had a chance to tell him she was pregnant.”

“So within the span of a day I learn I’m both a father AND an uncle. It… I suppose this feeling is happiness.” He grinned. Simeon mirrored it.

“Speaking of being an uncle… MC has been calling me Uncle Simmie to Rebekah. I told her you probably wouldn’t be pleased.”

“No, I can think of no more fitting title. Simeon, I don’t know what else to call you but family. I see now that trying to cut all of you out of my life simply because I was Felled was wrong. I am human now, but my brothers, demons though they be, are STILL my brothers. YOU are still my brother.” Lucifer nodded emphatically, as he hashed it all out in that moment. “I am a man accustomed to having a large family. If I’m to adjust properly here in the Human World I will need all the family I can claim.” Simeon felt joy thumping within his heart. He squeezed Lucifer’s shoulder.

“Well then, brother… what would you like for your first breakfast as a human?”

********

I groaned and rolled over onto my side. I needed to get up and check on Rebekah. A very distinctive scent became evident. Sex. In a rush, all the events of the night before returned. Lucifer was here. He was human. He had met his daughter. We had gotten reacquainted in a most luscious manner. That brought a blush to my face. Despite the fact we had a child together, we had not ever truly been an established couple. Just as things were finally looking up for us everything else had gotten in the way. Now we were just supposed to be a happy little family?

I dragged myself upright to sit on the edge of the bed. My body was sore, but it felt good. Only once I was on my feet and looking for my robe did I recall it was drying in the bathroom. I could smell coffee and food cooking, and peeking in the nursery confirmed Rebekah was upstairs with Simeon and Lucifer. I took the opportunity to jump in the shower and change into fresh clothes. I didn’t know why, but I was almost too embarrassed to face Lucifer. Maybe it wasn’t embarrassment, but actually fear. What if he told me the night before had been fun, but that he was taking Rebekah and going back to the Devildom to regain his demonhood?

I knew better. I trusted Lucifer. He would do what was best for our daughter, and that would mean not separating her from me. I wanted to just believe our lives were all going to just fall in place. My life had been one fouled up situation after another. The idea that all that suffering was meant to lead to this fairy tale situation was almost more than I dared hope for.

I dawdled for as long as I could. I even took the time to blow dry my hair and put on some light make-up. I snuck up the stairs into the kitchen where Simeon was loading dishes into the dishwasher. “Good morning, MC. Your plate’s on the warmer. Lucifer and Rebekah are in the dining room still.” He enlightened me.

“Thanks, Simmie.” I took my plate from the warmer, and he did a double take when he looked over his shoulder at me.

“You look so pretty!” He chuckled. “Let me take a picture for Lucifer…” He dried his hands on the dish towel and got the phone out of the drawer. “I completely forgot to show this to him. Here, smile…” Simeon snapped a photo of me, and then handed the phone to me. “Go ahead and give it to him. I’m sure he’ll enjoy it.”

“How does he seem?” I asked tentatively.

“What do you mean?”

“I mean, does he seem angry, sad, freaked out… like he wants to leave?” I knew the angel would pick up on my insecurity. He did. He gave me a big smile.

“He misses his brothers, but he is enamored of Rebekah. He is looking forward to being here with you.” Simeon reassured me. “Go on. Go have your breakfast with him. He’s reading over some paperwork he found in that locked safe in the closet.” That was enough information to help me get over my fears and seek him out.

When I entered the dining room, the sight of him took my breath all over again. I recalled the first time I’d ever met him back in the Devildom. I’d thought he was unnaturally handsome, to the point he seemed unapproachable. Looking at him now the handsomeness remained, but his aloof aura was gone. He held Rebekah against his chest with one arm while holding a piece of paper in his left hand. His reading glasses were perched on his nose, and there was a half a mug of coffee in front of him beside a piece of toast missing a bite. His eyes raised up over the rims of his glasses to look over me as I stood in the doorway. “Good morning, love.” He gave me a sexy smile. I sat down at the table in the spot directly to his left, just as I’d done back in the Devildom. “Did you get enough sleep? You look tired, still.”

“I am, a bit. Breakfast will perk me up. Is she okay?” I nodded toward our daughter. His face lit up.

“She’s fine. She likes to nuzzle… like her mother.” He gave me that seductive grin of his, and I felt my cheeks flush. I forced my gaze down to my plate of food.

“I’m sorry. Was I too clingy in my sleep?” I asked him.

“Hmm? Why would you think that?” He set down the paper to sip his coffee.

“You just mentioned how much I nuzzled you.” I pushed scrambled egg around on my plate. “I need the mustard for my eggs…” I was about to stand up, but Simeon walked through the door carrying a tray.

“Sorry to interrupt. You didn’t get your coffee, MC.” He sat my mug of coffee down, put the bottle of mustard next to it, and then offered to top of Lucifer’s mug of coffee. “Why don’t you let me take her? She usually naps in her bassinet in my room at this time of day.” Simeon explained. Lucifer pouted.

“I… let’s let things go back to normal tomorrow. Right now I just want to hold her.” Lucifer said, refusing to relinquish his hold on his daughter. Simeon grinned.

“Cuddling with her is like a little slice of heaven, is it not? I completely understand. Call if you need anything.” Simeon slipped back out of the room.

“MC, all I meant by saying she nuzzles like you do, is that I find it immensely enjoyable. You could never cling too much to me. I want you near me always. Why are you acting so shy all of a sudden?” Lucifer called me out on it.

“I just… well, back in the Devildom you seemed to really drag your feet about wanting to be with me. Now you’re here and just expected to be my spouse. You were sent here with no real say in the matter, and honestly? I’ve never even had a boyfriend before. I’m not sure what I’m doing, but I do know the circumstances of us being together are not typical.” Lucifer listened to what I said, and then he pulled one of the pieces of paper from the pile in front of him. He pushed it across the table toward me. I looked it over, and my jaw dropped. It was a marriage certificate. It bore my fake name and the name Lucian Morgenstern.

“Do you know, in my heart of hearts I’ve wanted you nearly from the moment we met. I desired you more than my pride wanted me to do. I stayed away, because Lord Diavolo demanded it. When I thought I was going to cease to exist my only regrets were leaving my brothers behind and not being able to spend my life with you. Now… here I am with you in a way we’ll both be able to be happy and thrive. Not only that, we have this perfect child, and we can make even more children. We already know each other, but now we will have the luxury of learning even more about each other every day.” He seemed genuinely excited.

“You really don’t mind being here and being human?”

“I am going to miss my brothers, but it was past time for them to take care of themselves. I never would have allowed them that opportunity if I was there with them. MC, being here with you is my idea of heaven.” He reached his free hand over to squeeze my hand, and I caught his excitement. A whole new chapter to my life was about to open up, and I would have Lucifer there to write it with me.
