Work Text:

“My brother wants to meet you,” Todoroki said abruptly to Deku, disturbing the peaceful quiet that, for once, was present in the common area.

Deku tilted his head like a lost puppy. “Which one? The med student or the scary one?”

Todoroki looked confused. “Touya isn’t scary, he’s only been arrested the one time.”

“It’s the scary one, then,” Deku sighed.

Katsuki looked up from his textbook, snarling slightly. “You two are too fucking loud,” he muttered. “Deku, have you seriously not met IcyHot’s fucking siblings yet?”

“Dude,” Eijirou whispered. “Family problems, remember?”

“That’s just his dumbass dead, shitty IcyHot hangs out with his shitty siblings all the damn time,” Katsuki huffed. A beat of silence passed, everyone looking at the blond, and he huffed. “What?”

“I didn’t know you paid that much attention to my family life,” Todoroki said thoughtfully. “That’s sweet.”

“What - FUCK YOU!” Katsuki yelped, throwing his textbook at Todoroki’s head, who dodged it with an obnoxious amount of practiced grace. He hadn’t been paying attention, that would be stupid, it would just be hard to ignore the constant drama surrounding that damn family. “I’M NOT SWEET!”

“You’re plenty sweet,” Eijirou cooed, pressing a kiss to Katsuki’s hair. “When you want to be, at least.”

“You’re lucky you're pretty and I don’t want to break your face just yet,” Katsuki hissed, making Eijirou laugh and Deku sigh.

“Kacchan, please stop threatening your boyfriend before I have to call Auntie Mitsuki.”

Damn nerd.

“Anyway,” Todoroki said flatly. “He wants to come by today and ‘hang out’.” The words were accompanied by little air quotes that made Deku sigh with disgusting fondness.

“You’re so cute,” he said, cupping Todoroki’s face and getting a look of wide-eyed awe in response.

“Fucking disgusting,” Katsuki muttered, and Eijirou dug an elbow into his side.

Deku, who had years of practice ignoring Katsuki, simply kept smiling at Todoroki. “Fine, I’ll meet your brother. But I expect compensation!”

“Like what?” Todoroki said, already moving to reach for his wallet.

“Not…no, Sho, not money, oh my god,” Deku said, batting Todoroki’s hands away from his pocket. “Snuggles, Sho, I’m making a joke about you paying me with affection.”

Todoroki blinked, before smiling. It looked almost out of place on his face. “I can do that.”

“Now can I call them disgusting?” Katsuki asked Eijirou, who rolled his eyes.

“No, Kats, leave them alone. You can be way worse, anyway.”

Katsuki scowled. Eijirou had promised he would never mention the sappy shit Katsuki did when they were alone.

Deku looked to them, eyes sparkling with the beginnings of a plan to blackmail what exactly ‘way worse’ entailed out of Kirishima, but was cut off by Todoroki unlocking his phone.

“I’ll tell Touya he can come over now.”

“Now?” Deku squeaked.

“Yes, now, today is his day off from work,” Todoroki said, blinking blankly at Deku. “Is that alright?”

“That…yeah, yeah, it’s fine,” Deku said, flapping his hands anxiously. “This is just your first family member I’m meeting! I’m nervous!”

“Here’s a tip: don’t be yourself. You’re fucking annoying,” Katsuki said helpfully.

“Thanks, Kacchan.”

“Bakugou actually reminds me a lot of Touya sometimes,” Todoroki said without looking up from his phone. “They have similar attitudes and violent tendencies.”

“I’ll show you a fucking violent tendency,” Katsuki yelled, shotting up from his seat on the couch only to find himself getting pulled firmly into Eijirou’s lap.

“One day,” the redhead lamented. “One day without fighting, that’s all I ask.”

“No,” Katsuki said, leaning back into Eijirou’s chest. Sue him, his boyfriend was all warm muscle and perfect cuddle material.

Deku smiled at them. “You guys really are cute together,” he said genuinely.

“Thank you!” Ejirious said, while Katsuki simply flipped him off in response.

“He’s on his way,” Todoroki suddenly announced, and Deku’s smile froze on his face.

“He can’t be that fucking scary,” Katsuki scoffed. “He’s related to this idiot.” He gestured vaguely at Todoroki, who squinted at him in confusion.

“He’s scarier than you, Kacchan, from what I’ve heard,” Deku said gravely, and Katsuki almost launched himself off of Eijirou’s lap.

“How fucking dare you?”

“Chill, please,” Eijirou begged, wrapping his arms a little more firmly around Katsuki’s waist.

“I don’t get it,” Todoroki chimed in. “Bakugou isn’t even that scary.”

“Goddamnit Todoroki,” Eijirou said, letting Katsuki launch himself across the room. “I’m not even stopping him this time, you brought it upon yourself.”

“You lasted longer than anticipated,” Deku said, giggling to himself. “I’ve let him go after shorter periods of time.”

“You couldn’t stop me if you wanted to, shitty nerd!” Katsuki snarled from where he had managed to pin Todoroki to the floor, sitting on his chest and putting a hand to his throat.

Eijirou watched the chaos for a few moments as Katsuki started running his mouth, wearing a long-suffering expression.

Deku caught his eye, beaming. “Just remember, Kirishima,” he said optimistically. “You actively choose to date him. You got yourself into this mess.”

“He’s so pretty and manly though,” Eijirou whined.

Katsuki grinned savagely. “Fuck yeah I am!”

Todoroki’s phone chimed, and he looked awkwardly up at Katsuki. “Can I get that? It’s probably Touya.”

Katsuki stared down at him for a moment, contemplating refusal, but ultimately decided that watching Deku panic would be worth giving up the fight. He got off.

“Thank you,” Todoroki said, grabbing his phone and scanning the text. “Mr. Aizawa is clearing him now.”

“Ah,” Deku said weakly, making Katsuki snicker.

“There’s no way the dude is that fuckin’ scary,” he repeated, and Deku whipped his head around to face him with alarming intensity.

“Did you miss the part where Shouto said he had been arrested?!”

“Only once!” Todoroki protested.

“Once is enough!” Deku said back, and Todoroki was saved the trouble of responding as the door to the common area opened, revealing an exhausted looking Mr. Aizawa and a dude who had to be Touya Todoroki.

Tall and lanky like his brother, Touya had dyed black hair and multiple ear and facial piercings, with almost every piece of exposed skin heavily tattooed. Piercing blue eyes roamed over the four teenagers, before settling on his brother. He grinned. “Sup, bro?”

“Hello,” Todoroki said.

“He tried to pickpocket me twice already,” Mr. Aizawa said through gritted teeth. “If you don’t watch him, Todoroki, you’re dealing with his messes.”

“And you caught me both times. Aren’t you proud of yourself?” Touya said, batting his eyelashes at the teacher.

“I’ll watch him,” Todoroki promised, and Mr. Aizawa nodded before leaving the room.

Touya paused for a moment, before winking at Todoroki. “It was actually three times. I got $20 off of him.”

Todoroki sighed. “Please give that back when you leave.”

“No.”

“Aren’t you fucking rich?” Katsuki asked, tilting his head. “Bit fuckin’ stupid to risk your ass pickpocketing a pro hero when you’ve got daddy’s money to spend.”

“Stupidity makes life more fun,” Touya leered. “Shouto, please tell me you’re dating the little angry Pomeranian here.”

“No,” Todoroki said, ignoring Katsuki’s loud cursing and pointing at a petrified-looking Deku. “I’m dating that one.”

“Nice to meet you,” Deku squeaked.

Touya looked him over. “Yeah, that makes sense,” he muttered to himself, before sticking out a hand, his fingers covered in burn scars and chipped black nail polish. “Name’s Touya. Are you always this high-pitched?”

“I-Izuku Midoriya,” Deku stammered.

“You’re scaring him on purpose. Stop it,” Todoroki said, and Touya laughed.

“I’m just being friendly!”

“Holy shit, everyone in your family is a fucking dick,” Katsuki marvelled, and Touya turned back to him.

“You sure you run your mouth a lot,” he observed. “And what’s your name?”

“What’s it to you?”

“This is Katsuki Bakugou, I’m Eijirou Kirishima, we’re friends of your brother,” Eijirou jumped in quickly.

Touya blinked. “Damn Shouto, how many friends do you have at this point?”

“Several,” Todorki said proudly. The mood shifted. Katsuki, for once, bit back the urge to declare that they weren’t friends. Something about it just seems wrong at the moment. It wasn’t a feeling he was accustomed to.

Touya looked at his brother for a moment, eyes weirdly soft with pride, before his cocky smirk was back in place. “Several, huh? Well then, friends and boyfriend of little Shouto, who wants to hear embarrassing childhood stories?”

Todoroki’s eyes went wide. “ No.

“Like what?” Deku asked brightly, looking much more willing to be around Touya all of the sudden.

Katsuki leaned in as Touya began detailing a story about a six-year-old Todoroki, a goldfish, and some spray paint. He felt Eijirou grab at his hand, and allowed the movement.

The situation was oddly sweet, and Katsuki was willing to bask in it for now.

“I’m hardly the only one with awkward childhood moments,” Todoroki cut in, sounding annoyed. “Izuku told me that Bakugou –”

Fuck basking. It was time for a fight.

Katsuki launched himself at Todoroki once more, Deku and Kirishima both moving to stop him as Touya cackled wickedly at the scene.

Stupid fucking Todoroki’s.
