Hello again, my dear readers.
I’m so sorry- How rude of me not to start off by introducing myself to any newcomers! My name is Michelle, and I will be your faithful and willing author for the duration of this story.
If this is your first time reading one of my works and you have not yet read Portentous, I would highly recommend doing so before you begin! This story is a direct continuation of the events in Portentous, and without that foreknowledge, this story will become confusing very quickly.
To get all the formalities out of the way, I’d like to restate all the same disclaimers that I gave in the foreword of Portentous as they all still apply here.

Metempsychosis will be just as dark - if not more so - as Portentous was.

This fanfiction is an x reader insert story following the relationship of Wilbur Soot’s character on the Dream SMP. Wilbur has stated he is uncomfortable with fanfictions written about his personal life, and I do not support or condone such behaviours. Once again, I have put the copyright for the work under creative commons attributions. If you don't know what that means, you are allowed to use my work if you properly credit me while doing so. I'm completely fine with people translating or building upon the original ideas I have used in this story. I in no way own the rights to any of the characters or the main plot used in this story apart from Y/n and her arc. All other characters and concepts belong to the respective members of the Dream SMP and the writers of the lore.
Although this was slightly confusing for some people at times in Portentous, I made the decision that for plot purposes, none of the Sleepy Boys Inc. are canonically related apart from Wilbur and Phil, being father and son respectively. To describe it a bit clearer, Philza adopted Technoblade and Wilbur at a young age, however, he is not their biological father. Tommy was adopted much later due to the age gap. Also because of plot purposes, Fundy is not Wilbur’s son. Wilbur does play a father figure in Fundy’s life, but there is no familial relationship between them.

Now, I’m so glad that you’ve arrived in time for the second instalment of Portentous, titled Metempsychosis.
If you aren’t familiar with this term or haven’t read the preview which I posted at the end of Portentous, here is a description of my own writing:

Metempsychosis is a belief that originated from the teachings of the Greek philosopher Pythagoras. The concept is one of wide discussion within philosophical circles. To put it simply, metempsychosis is a form of reincarnation. However it is not just reincarnation, it is the transmigration of a human or animal soul into a new form. Reincarnation is a rebirth of the soul, not a turning over of a vessel as in metempsychosis. The beliefs of metempsychosis formed an occult doctrine in the late 16th century, members of this doctrine preaching that the soul is eternal and lives and dies in the mortal plane through hundreds of varying forms.
