Work Header

two sides of the same coin

Summary:

Jeno has had a crush on the cute volunteer librarian for months, but it’s been going nowhere. His friends are tired of him moping around, and decide to bring Jeno out to the strip club.

“I would’ve been able to enjoy myself sitting at home too,” Jeno snaps, but he does lift his head up properly, glaring right at Mark.

And it enerves him more than he’d like to admit, when Mark is just smirking at him.

“Sure, but does home have librarian Na?”

Work Text:

“Do you think he can hear us?”

“With that look on his face? He definitely can’t.”

“He doesn’t even realize what Sungchan’s doing, he’s in an entire different orbit right now…”

Mark sighs, and counts to three in his head. When Jeno doesn’t look like he’s aware of anything going on, he kicks his younger friend’s chair, effectively startling him and finally bringing him back down to earth.

“What?” he asks, looking between the three of his friends confusedly. Only then does he notice that ticklish feeling on his forearm, and turns to the left just to see Sungchan running a sharpie over his skin. “What the hell! What are you doing? Did you draw like, seven dicks on me?”

Sungchan snickers, capping his sharpie and looking at Jeno’s arm, satisfied with his work.

“Dude, this is going to take like, days to wash off,” Jeno grumbles, pulling the sleeve of his t-shirt back down the length of his arm in order to hide Sungchan’s inappropriate doodles. “Control him next time, will you?” he asks, directing his words to the boy sitting directly in front of him.

“He’s my boyfriend, not my dog,” Jisung shrugs, flipping through pages of his textbook while looking minimally interested in how Sungchan had been mutilating Jeno’s arm. “Let him have some fun.”

“Yeah, Jeno,” Sungchan grins, words sickeningly sweet. Jeno has to resist the urge to hit him in a library. “Let me have my fun. The only reason we’re here in the first place is so that you can make up fake scenarios in your head about librarian Na.”

Sungchan’s comment earns snickers from around the table, and Jeno only rolls his eyes.

“Definitely not true. We’re here because finals are next month,” he reasons, even if he hadn’t started studying a single thing for his finals since they settled in the library an hour ago. “And because Jisung is only one test away from failing his coding class.”

“I’m going to pretend like I didn’t hear that,” Jisung says in a monotone, not even looking up from his textbook. “And Sungchan is going to say something that’ll embarrass you again on my behalf.”

Like a well oiled machine, Sungchan opens his mouth to say,

“Even Mark hyung wasn't this bad. You know, at least he spoke to Yuta hyung while pining like a helpless fool—” Sungchan ignores Mark’s indignant ‘ Hey! ’ in favour of continuing. “You won’t even pretend like you’re looking for a book to have an excuse to talk to librarian Na.”

“I’m not pathetic ,” Jeno mutters, but regrets when he sees both Mark and Sungchan’s mouths open immediately to refute him. “I’ll talk to him on my own terms. Without faking anything,” he adds before either of them can say anything.

“Well, it's been three months,” Mark points out, very unhelpfully, if Jeno’s being honest. “So you may want to tell your terms to hurry up.”

“Three months of coming to the library three times a week and pretending to study just so you can stare at the cute librarian.” Sungchan clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth, and spares Jeno no mercy as he sighs. “And it’s not even like your grades have gotten any better.”

“Let’s have one day where we are nice to Jeno, can’t we have that?” Jeno asks sarcastically, and the following silence makes him want to curl into a ball and sink into the library floor. “Why do you guys hate me…”

“We don’t hate you,” Mark rolls his eyes as he says this, flicking Jeno’s forehead affectionately from across the table. “We just think you’re being dumb. Maybe if we tease you enough, you’ll snap and finally make a move on librarian Na.”

Said librarian Na, the infamous librarian Na amongst their friend group, is no other than junior astrobiology major Na Jaemin.

He’s also infamous on campus, solely because of how much of a model student he is. His major is so unique that it automatically demands attention, and his professors all love him. His work from freshman and sophomore year are always used as examples for the next year of students, and he’s even on the Dean’s list.

Jeno doesn’t know how he does it, all while maintaining the most jaw dropping smile on campus, and his post as a volunteer librarian.

Jeno had noticed him when he first started volunteering at the library three months ago, though he’s always known of Na Jaemin.

He’s known of the Na Jaemin who’s always found with his nose in a book, the Na Jaemin who’s always chatting it up with a professor while on the way to class, the Na Jaemin who’s always making his friends laugh.

But this Na Jaemin, librarian Na , is what entices Jeno the most.

Because although Jaemin reading is a cute sight, and Jaemin laughing is a pretty sight, Jaemin being in his element is something else entirely.

Jeno doesn’t know Jaemin personally, which is why he doesn’t know for sure if he’s a bookworm or anything like that. What he does know though, is that he’s always reading in the midst of his volunteer shift. Whether it be while stacking books on shelves, or collecting the returned books from the drop off box, he always either has his current read in his hand, or his scanning the summary of every novel he touches.

And for lack of better words, Jeno is completely smitten by him.

Too bad he’s as miserable as Sungchan described; he doesn’t even have it in himself to strike up a conversation with Jaemin.

Maybe it’s because of how smart he is. Or maybe it’s because of how cute he is. Or maybe it’s because of how different he is. No matter what, he’s intimidating to Jeno’s eyes. Always standing out, always demanding attention, no matter what he does.

It’s intimidating to someone like Jeno, who’s practically nobody on campus. To even think about approaching Jaemin, who’s more than just somebody on campus, makes Jeno break out into a nervous sweat.

“Let me be dumb in peace please,” he just sighs, leaning his arm down along the table and resting his head down on it. “Why won’t he just notice me?” Jeno whines, kicking his feet a bit under the table like a child.

“I’ll admit, I’m also surprised he hasn’t noticed the way you stare at him,” Mark hums, throwing a short glance over to where Jeno is looking; Jaemin is rearranging books in the encyclopedia section. “Can’t he feel you boring holes into his skull?”

“Like the way Yuta hyung called you out on boring holes into his skull?” Jisung snorts, piping up for the first time in a while. Jeno appreciates how it does a little something to deflect the attention from him, and onto Mark.

“Why am I suddenly the butt of the joke?” Mark pouts, resting his chin on his palm as he looks between the three of his friends. “Jeno’s the one who’s going to rot before he even manages to say hello to Jaemin.”

But alas, the attention doesn’t stay off of him for long.

“I’m not going to rot ,” he scowls, sitting up straight again. Jisung’s nose has once more disappeared into his textbook, and Sungchan’s hand looks way too suspiciously close to the sharpie for Jeno’s comfort. “I’m a person, not an apple.”

“People rot when they die,” Jisung points out, tearing his eyes away from his textbook when the following twelve seconds are filled with complete silence. He looks between his friends, pouts a little, and asks, “What?”

“That’s really morbid, babe,” Sungchan says, to which Jisung only shrugs and smiles sweetly at.

“But you still love me, right?” he asks, and Jeno rolls his eyes when he hears Sungchan coo and sees Sungchan physically restraining himself from reaching across the table to pinch his boyfriend’s cheeks.

“Of course I do, baby~”

Jisung hums happily before going back to tuning them out, and Jeno uses the opportunity to get up from his seat.

“And where do you think you’re going?” Mark asks.

“Going to get a book, duh. We’re in the library,” Jeno snarks back, and turns around and starts walking before he can see the glare on Mark’s face.

He’d be lying if he said he still couldn’t feel it as he walks away though.

Jeno is thankful that the shelf he has to go to in order to find the book he’s looking for is far away enough that he’s out of his friends’ field of view.

That way, they can’t tease him, yet again, for the way he stares at Jaemin.

From where he’s standing, Jeno has a clear view of Jaemin. They’re only a few bookshelves apart from each other, and Jeno thinks this is the closest they’ve ever been. He doesn’t mean to be a creep, so he shakes his head to get his thoughts cleared, and wills himself to focus on finding the book he needs, and not Na Jaemin and his pretty smile and silky looking hair.

And it works, for all about a minute.

Because when Jeno takes the book he needs off of the shelf, he’s left with the perfect gap, where Jaemin instantly comes into view.

At this point, he’s sure the universe is giving him signs. Or making fun of him. Or finding joy in his misery. Whatever the case, it’s definitely one of those three options.

Like every other time Na Jaemin enters Jeno’s field of vision, he’s rendered completely useless. Everything about Jaemin is simply beautiful; eye-catching and attention demanding. Just the mere way he brushes his hair back, and rolls his sleeves up, and smiles at passer byers, and the way his elegant fingers flip pages of books—

And just… A lot of things about Jaemin, Jeno guesses, have him absolutely enthralled.

He doesn’t mean to, and this time he really means it, but he can’t help but himself admiring everything little thing about Jaemin through the little gap between books on the shelf. Jeno, realistically, knows he should get back to his table before one of his friends question why he’s been gone for so long and comes to look for him, only to find him being, quote unquote, dumb again.

But something in him doesn’t let him tear his eyes away. Maybe it’s just Jaemin’s mere aura, or maybe Jeno’s in this mess deeper than he thought.

Whatever it is, Jeno finds himself so into looking at the librarian, that he fails to notice the way the book in his hand slips from between his fingers.

He only notices when the hardcover of the heavy book lands right onto his foot.

“Ah, fuck!” he curses, freezing immediately after the words leave his lips.

He looks around slowly and feels his face flush at all the glaring eyes on him, and he instantly inclines his head multiple times as he bows apologetically to all the people giving him the stink eye for being loud in the library.

Jeno is embarrassed as he leans down to pick up the book, keeping his grip on it secure this time, as to save himself from humiliation.

He straightens his posture and squares his shoulders to give himself an illusion of confidence, and then walks out from between bookshelves.

He’s about to take a turn and walk back to the table his friends are occupying, but something in his peripheral vision catches his eye.

When he lets his gaze wander, he shouldn’t be surprised to find out that it’s Jaemin who has caught his attention, for the nth time this afternoon alone.

Jeno thinks he must be seeing things wrong when he finds out that for the first time ever, Jaemin is already looking at him. He tries to keep cool as he walks towards his table, willing every cell in his body to resist the urge to check and see if Jaemin was still looking at him.

When he's a few feet away from his table though, he loses the battle with his own body, and turns his head slightly towards where Jaemin was previously standing.

Jeno wishes he didn’t though, because Jaemin smiles, winks, and waves, and Jeno flushes until his cheeks feel like they’re in the presence of hellfire.

“So? Was he there today too?”

Jaemin hums, stepping out of his bathroom and not sparing Renjun and Donghyuck a glance, where they’re perched on his bed, a pile of tangled limbs.

“He’s there every single time,” Jaemin answers Donghyuck’s question, letting his towel fall before stepping into his underwear. He has less than any reservations around his best friends anymore.

“How are you not creeped out yet?” Renjun asks with a tone of distaste in his words. “If some weirdo was following me to my library shifts I’d call the police.”

“I don’t need to call the police,” Jaemin chuckles, looking at the array of products on his vanity. He always has a hard time choosing how to do his makeup, and he always ends up staring at his options for far too long before settling on something. “He’s harmless. What’s some staring going to do?”

“Well, I guess you’ve always liked the attention,” Donghyuck snorts, and it earns him Jaemin turning around to smile devilishly at him. He doesn’t correct him though, and that makes a smile of Donghyuck’s own appear. “Makes sense you haven’t called out the weirdo for it yet.”

“Don’t call him a weirdo,” Jaemin sing-songs, fingertips slightly adjusting his hair in the mirror. He had blow dried it in the bathroom, and then styled it. Jaemin doesn’t want a single strand of hair out of place: he wants to, has to , look absolutely perfect. “You might know him.”

“Uh, I don’t think I know anyone who has a thing for staring at strangers,” Renjun scoffs, leaning back further into Donghyuck’s chest. They’re sitting on his bed with Donghyuck against the headboard, and Renjun between his legs.

Jaemin would’ve reprimanded them for being grossly in love on his very own bed, but they look so cute pressed together, comfortable with each other, that Jaemin doesn’t have the heart to say anything.

“Well, think again,” he says. “Do you remember Yuta hyung?”

“The dude who used to be the captain of the soccer team?” Donghyuck asks. “He graduated like, three years ago.”

“Yeah, but do you remember his boyfriend? Mark Lee? He’s friends with the guy who’s always at the library.”

There’s a pause that follows Jaemin’s words, one that he assumes is because Renjun and Donghyuck are thinking about who Mark Lee’s friends are. He takes the time to sit down in front of his vanity, getting started on his makeup.

“Jung Sungchan…?” Renjun supplies, unsurely looking back at Donghyuck to see if he was right or wrong.

“No, he’s dating that Jisung kid,” Donghyuck hums, and then looks back at Jaemin and asks, “Was he tall? The guy who keeps staring?”

“No, but he’s always with two of his friends who are super tall,” Jaemin answers, and he looks like he’s lost interest in the conversation as he picks up an eyeshadow palette. “It’s always him, Mark Lee, and two really tall boys. The four of them always come in together.”

“No way…” Donghyuck gasps, sitting up just a bit straighter as realization dawns on him. It makes Renjun sit up a bit straighter too. “ Jeno Lee ?”

“Maybe,” Jaemin shrugs, leaning in closer to his mirror to get a better look. “I don't know his name.”

“It must be Jeno,” Donghyuck says, nodding his head as if he’s confirming the fact with himself. “Every time I’ve ever seen him, he’s been with those other three.”

“You seem to know him well,” Jaemin comments, fumbling with a tube of lipgloss. He contemplates which shade to use, his eyes drifting between the tube in his hands, and then the multiple ones lining his vanity. “Is he a friend of yours?”

“Acquaintance, at best,” the other clarifies, sitting back with his hand now in Renjun’s hair. The latter purrs like a cat, and the longer Jaemin looks at them like this, the more he sees the resemblance. “We just shared a few classes in the past three years.”

“So, is he a weirdo like Renjun was so adamant that he was?” Jaemin asks, deciding on using the lipgloss already in his hands. “You should be a good friend and tell me if I should stay away from him or not.”

“Why?” Renjun cuts in suddenly. “Were you planning on doing something about him, three months into his pathetic ploy?”

If Jaemin didn’t know Renjun as well as he did, he’d question why Renjun was so wordy and snarky right off the bat. But he’s past that stage now, and simply takes Renjun’s antics in stride.

“I admit, he was rather cute today,” Jaemin shrugs, smacking his lips together in order to ensure the colour was spread evenly, and that the shine is reflecting off of his lips perfectly. “Dropping an encyclopedia on his foot and walking away with red ears.”

“He’s not a weirdo,” Donghyuck assures. “Just from what I know, he’s a bit shy around strangers. But it won’t take too long to warm up to him.”

“Don't worry about that,” Jaemin says, waving his hand in a motion as if to imply brushing it away. “You know how relaxed people are around me.”

He throws a wink over to Donghyuck through the reflection of the mirror, and it not only earns him an eye roll from Donghyuck, but from Renjun as well.

“You mean how well you coax people into giving you all their money?” Renjun asks sarcastically, and it makes Jaemin pout mockingly.

“But those men who are cheating on their wives deserve it,” he reasons, standing up from his vanity seat, satisfied with his makeup. Finally, it’s his favourite part of the night: picking out an outfit to wear. “Paying a college student money to dance… It's not my fault that they’re reckless.”

“Just try to remember that Jeno isn’t a sick man cheating on his wife,” Donghyuck mumbles, closing his eyes as he brings Renjun closer to his chest. Jaemin thinks he’s going to fall asleep, as it wouldn’t be the first time Donghyuck had decided to take a nap on his bed. “He’s just some kid who keeps staring at you. Probably thinks you're cute.”

“I am cute,” Jaemin agrees happily, looking through the garments he has hanging up. He hopes Renjun doesn’t fall asleep with Donghyuck, for the sole reason that he could help him with picking an outfit.

“Jeno seems to think so,” Renjun hums, looking at Jaemin gently as he takes out a black, sparkly long sleeve. Once it’s in Renjun’s full view, he notices that it’s cropped.

A wicked smile takes over Renjun’s face as he makes eye contact with Jaemin, a similar expression marring the latter’s face.

“So just don’t go breaking his heart.”

Jeno hates parties.

Usually.

And then there’s the off chance that he actually doesn’t mind them at all.

And it’s probably because he’s had a bad day, or because there’s something that's been on his mind that he desperately wants to forget.

And tonight, it’s the latter.

For the life of him, no matter how hard he tries, Jeno cannot get the memory of Jaemin smiling at him out of his mind.

To be quite frank, he’s humiliated.

Of course the first time that Jaemin notices him (at least, he's pretty sure that was the first time), he had made a fool out of himself.

Other people wouldn't consider this a big deal, but Jeno is most definitely not other people.

He may be blowing this out of proportion, but he thinks he deserves to after making a fool out of himself in front of his crush. He hasn’t told Mark, Jisung, or Sungchan about the incident, because he knows he wouldn’t be hearing the end of it. And Jeno is very much keen on preserving what little dignity he has left around them.

Na Jaemin is a somebody, and today’s events just seemed to remind Jeno that he’s a nobody. Jaemin is way out of his league. And he’s sure that he’d only  make a fool out of himself if he tries to suck it up and just admit to his feelings.

Jaemin and Jeno are on two different levels, and Jeno’s not sure if he’s at all ready to take the leap.

Jumping is scary when you don’t know if you’ll land on two feet. And although Jeno doubts that Jaemin isn’t worth it, it doesn’t make it any less scary.

Desired by practically half the campus, it’ll be easy for Jaemin to turn a blind eye towards Jeno’s advances. He’s sure that more than a fair share of people have already tried their luck with the campus heartthrob, and Jeno’s not too sure if the constant rejection Jaemin dishes out is comforting or not.

Maybe Jaemin simply isn’t interested in any of the people who’ve bared their heart to him, or maybe he's not interested at all in anything right now.

Jeno doesn’t know which option is better. All he knows is that he’s a bit emotionally taxed after today, and that if he wanted to wallow a little in his unrequited feelings, then he was more than welcome to indulge himself.

“—hyung! Are you even listening to me?”

Jisung’s question rips Jeno out of his self-deprecating thoughts, and he turns to look at his youngest friend with raised eyebrows.

“Sorry, what were you saying?” he asks sheepishly, and only smiles when Jisung rolls his eyes at his question.

“Sungchan and I are going to the club tonight,” he says, and Jeno looks over for just a second to where Sungchan is lankily taking up space on his couch. The entirety of the couch. “Are you coming with us?”

“Is Mark hyung going too?” Jeno asks wearily. “You know we don’t have faith when you two go to places where they serve alcohol alone.”

“You're sounding like a dad!” Sungchan comments from the couch, and when Jeno whips his head around, he sees that the younger isn’t even looking up from his phone. “Cut the shit before you start graying too.”

“I don’t know where you found him, Jisungie, but if you still have the receipt, then please return him,” Jeno snarks, and once more, Jisung rolls his eyes.

“There’s no return policy on Sungchannie, stop being silly,” Jisung dismisses, and Jeno pretends like he can’t see the flying kiss Sungchan sends Jisung’s way. “Are you coming, or not? Because if you are, we need to get you ready. There’s no way you’re going to the club looking like… That.”

“What's wrong with how I look?” Jeno gasps, looking down at his appearance and trying to see what’s wrong with him.

“Hyung, I don’t think you’ve washed your hair for like… A week,” Jisung grimaces, and Jeno’s mouth gapes open in offence.

“What the hell?” he scowls, indignant. “You’re such a brat. Sungchan has definitely rubbed off on you.”

“I’m a great influence,” Sungchan comments, finally hauling himself up and off of the couch. He makes his way to stand next to Jisung, ruffling the younger’s hair just because he can, and because he likes to. “Because I wash my hair regularly.”

“Oh, enough of you,” Jeno bites, looking between the two tall boyfriends with disdain. “Are you two here just to torment me? I thought we were going clubbing.”

“So you're going?” Jisung asks back excitedly, just to make sure. Jeno grunts as an answer, and then immediately feels his hand being pulled by Sungchan, who hauls him up onto his feet.

“No way you’re going to a club with me while looking like this ,” Sungchan says with finality, and Jeno gives Jisung a helpless look. All he gets in return is a smile and a shoulder shrug. “Get into the shower, hyung.”

Jeno grumbles all the way to the bathroom, and then some when Sungchan reminds him to be thorough when he washes his hair. He really does not know where Jisung found someone like him…

Jeno takes his sweet time in the shower just to piss Sungchan off, but makes sure he washes his hair properly, just so he can avoid Sungchan whining about it. He admits that the shower did clear his head a bit, and that he does feel a bit better. Also, he’s now looking forward to going out with his friends, actually excited to have a great time tonight.

“Fair warning, I’m shirtless!” Jeno calls as he opens the bathroom door, walking towards his bedroom. He sees that Jisung and Sungchan are already sitting on his bed, with an outfit laid out next to them.

Jeno eyes it wearily.

“I don’t trust that,” he says, pointing towards the outfit, and then squinting his eyes at the couple. “You two are trying to make me look like a fool, aren’t you?”

“We’re trying to make you look hot ,” Sungchan corrects, rolling his eyes as he does so. Jeno has forgotten how many times Sungchan has done that because of him, at this point. “So hurry up a change into his. Your hair will be next.”

Jeno doesn’t necessarily want to listen to what Sungchan tells him to do, but he decides that complying is better than being difficult right now.

Jeno changes into the clothes, which consist of a way too tight lilac t-shirt, way too tight black jeans with rips where Jeno didn’t even know jeans were allowed to have rips, and a leather jacket which he’s pretty sure actually belongs to Mark.

“Is this Mark hyung’s jacket?” he asks.

“Yup,” Jisung nods, looking Jeno over as he throws the jacket on. “Sungchannie made you all pretty. Now let him do your hair too.”

Jeno doesn’t really want to let Sungchan do his hair, but he supposes it’ll be better than anything he can come up with.

And anyways, Sungchan just ends up blow drying his hair and styling it simply; parted in the middle with a few loose strands. Something which looks effortlessly messy, but enticing at the same time.

“There, all done,” Sungchan announces proudly, standing back to observe Jeno from head to toe. “What do you think, Ji? Think he’ll get laid?”

Jisung scrunches his nose at the question, but shrugs his shoulders nonetheless.

“If he can stop wallowing about librarian Na and actually flirt with someone tonight, then yeah, I say he could,” he ends up answering, and it’s not at all what Jeno expected.

And then, it all clicks into place for Jeno.

“Are you taking me out because of librarian Na ?”

Jisung at least has the audacity to look a bit sheepish as Jeno asks this, but Sungchan, like usual, only grins wickedly. He seems to have a knack for doing things which irk Jeno.

“Because we’re sick of seeing you moping around,” Sungchan explains, ushering both Jeno and Jisung out of the former’s bedroom. “You’ve been especially down lately, and I’m blaming all of it on librarian Na.”

“You don’t even know librarian Na like that,” Jeno complains, barely hearing Jisung muttering about how ‘ Can we hurry up? Mark hyung is waiting downstairs. ’

“And you don’t either,” Sungchan points out. “He’s a cute face you like staring at. And until you make a move and actually learn things about him, stop being a vegetable about it. He’s just a cute boy! There are so many cute boys in the world, hyung. I mean, just look at my Jisungie!” he cries, abruptly cupping Jisung’s face between his hands and squishing his cheeks together.

“Babe, stop that,” Jisung whines, swatting the other’s hands away as they step out of Jeno’s apartment.

“But no cute boy is like librarian Na…” Jeno mutters, and then gets hit on the back of his head. “Ow! What the hell?”

“Stop. Being. Mopey,” Jisung says, linking their arms together, and then linking his other arm with Sungchan’s. “We’re going out tonight to have fun. No more being sad over boys. Boys are bad.”

“Boys are nasty,” Sungchan agrees from Jisung’s other side, and while Jeno appreciates their efforts (he really does—even Sungchan’s efforts at getting him all dolled up) he finds their words just a bit hard to believe when they’re being disgustingly in love right next to him.

They make their way down to the lobby of Jeno’s building, and see Mark’s car waiting outside.

“Could you guys have taken any longer?” Mark asks as they start piling in; Jeno in the passenger’s seat while Jisung and Sungchan get in the back. “I’ve been sitting here for like fifteen minutes.”

“Do you know what Jeno hyung looked like before I got my hands on him?” Sungchan asks, because of course he does. Jeno takes back what he said just a few minutes ago about appreciating his help. “I needed those fifteen minutes, trust me.”

Jeno chooses to stay quiet in fear of saying something which Jisung and Sungchan can use against him. Thankfully though, the two of them seem lost in their own world in the back seats, tuning Mark and Jeno out.

“Is that my jacket?” Mark asks a few minutes into the drive, eyeing it a few times.

“That’s what I was thinking too,” Jeno mumbles. “You probably left it at my place and didn’t bother picking it back up.”

Mark hums.

“Probably.”

The rest of the drive to the club passes by smoothly, even if the slight chill from Mark’s open windows irks Jeno a little. He’ll survive, anyway.

They’re at a club Jeno hasn’t heard of before, and he’s pretty sure that’s because it’s quite a bit far away from school. Jeno’s sure there isn’t a single chance that they’ll be bumping into anyone from school, seeing as it’s so far. He kind of likes that though—it’s a bit awkward trying to get laid when everyone’s a familiar face.

“Is this place new?” he asks as Mark is looking for a parking spot. The parking lot is pretty full, and Jeno’s only a bit confused about what kind of people frequent the club when he sees all the sleek and fancy cars amongst Mark’s beat up KIA soul EV.

“New to you,” Jisung answers, which really isn’t helpful at all, but Jeno doesn’t bother asking again.

Finally, Mark finds a parking spot. They all pile out of the car together, and while Jisung is able to hold Sungchan’s hand and stick close to him in an unfamiliar setting, all Jeno can do is just stay next to Mark and pray the other doesn’t leave his sight in the blink of an eye.

They’re at the entrance when Jeno takes a deep breath, and straightens his shoulders.

His friends were right. He shouldn’t be moping anymore.

He’s here tonight with his favourite people, and he’s going to have fun

Jaemin thinks his eyes are playing tricks on him when he spots a familiar figure walk into the club.

But he knows he’s seeing things for what they are when his eyes also land on the two tall boys who are always accompanying him.

Sungchan and Jisung.

Which in turn, means Jeno is indeed the boy standing next to them, decked out in the softest lilac coloured t-shirt, which contradicts his harsh leather jacket.

Jaemin, for how simple Jeno looks amongst the throng of people littering the club, can’t take his eyes off of the boy.

Jeno doesn’t stand out—definitely not amongst the patrons in designer clothes, shiny shoes, and flashy watches, definitely not amongst the other dancers and strippers littering the floor and stages of the club.

But Jeno is the only boy Jaemin sees from his spot on stage, the only one who stands out from everyone else in the club.

The lights are low, and the red and purples are distracting. Jaemin, ever used to it after working here for months, follows Jeno’s figure until he sees the four of them sitting down at a table.

Jaemin, completely distracted, only remembers he’s on stage when a ₩5000 note falls by his feet, decked out in sparkly black pumps.

Suddenly, with newfound determination, Jaemin marches to the center of the stage, gathering everyone’s attention with the sound his shoes make, and the blinding smile he sends the audience.

When he first started working here, the manager had said that patrons weren’t looking for cute—they were looking for bold and sexy. But Jaemin is popular here for a reason: he’s different.

He doesn’t need to only be bold and sexy, he can smile his charming smile and sway his hips just a bit, and it’s enough for at least one person to buy a lap dance.

But there’s never only one person.

Jaemin scans over the audience one more time just to locate Jeno’s table, and once his eyes are set on Jeno, he doesn’t take them off. However long it takes for Jeno to look up and see him dancing, Jaemin will wait.

After all, isn’t that what Jeno had done all this while? Staring at Jaemin until he was noticed? Jaemin is courteous enough to repay the efforts…

With a smirk curling the ends of his lips up, Jaemin ruffles his hair a bit. He’s always been confident on stage, he’s always done well when tens of hundreds of peoples’ eyes were on him.

Tonight is no different, except for the fact that Jaemin isn’t focusing on dancing for the money.

Tonight, he wants to dance for Jeno.

Maybe his friends should’ve told him that they were bringing Jeno to a strip club. If they had, then maybe Jeno wouldn’t be feeling so terribly out of place right now, unable to even look up from the napkin in front of him, ears flushed and suddenly feeling really hot.

“Are you… Shy, right now?” Mark asks from Jeno’s left, and Jeno only has enough courage to slightly look up at him and glare. And it earns him Mark’s barking laughter. “Dude, loosen up!”

“You brought me to a strip club,” Jeno hisses, not even bothering to glance over at where Sungchan and Jisung have busied themselves with the dance floor. “Without any warning!”

“Well, would you have come with us if we told you it was a strip club?” Mark asks, although judging by his tone, he already knows Jeno’s answer. “If you looked up from the table, you might be able to enjoy yourself more.”

“I would’ve been able to enjoy myself sitting at home too,” Jeno snaps, but he does lift his head up properly, glaring right at Mark.

And it enerves him more than he’d like to admit, when Mark is just smirking at him.

“Sure, but does home have librarian Na?”

And then, Jeno feels his blood run cold.

“L-Librarian Na?” he chokes out, eyes immediately looking around, scanning the crowd in the dim club for the familiar face. “You invited him?”

“Why would I invite him? Jaemin and I aren’t even friends, Jeno,” Mark snorts, and then he proceeds to drum his fingers on the table, like he hadn’t just dropped an absolute bombshell onto Jeno.

“Then what the hell are you saying?” Jeno hisses, smacking Mark’s arm because he simply can’t take the silence on his end. Why would Mark say something like that and then leave him hanging? It’s like he wants to see Jeno suffering.

“I’m saying ,” Mark sighs, sitting up straighter in his chair. He puts his elbows on the table and leans forward, eyes up on stage. “That if you look up, like you’re supposed to at a strip club, you’ll find librarian Na.

A bit skeptical, Jeno meets Mark’s eyes. He has yet to look at the stage, because he doesn’t trust the look in Mark’s eyes.

“Calling him librarian Na feels weirdly inappropriate in this situation,” Jeno comments, and Mark just leans back in his seat, sitting comfortably again.

“It is,” he nods. “Here, he goes by Nana .

Jeno feels oddly compelled to look up at the stage at Mark’s words, curiosity getting the best of him.

And he’s not too sure if he regrets it or not, when he makes direct, purposeful eye contact with Na Jaemin.

Na Jaemin, who’s standing on stage. Who’s staring right at him, with smouldering eyes painted smokily, with messy hair which Jeno wants to run his fingers through, with a grin which shoots right through his heart.

How… How is Na Jaemin real?

And why was he staring right at Jeno?

Their eye contact remains while Jaemin moves his body; left, right, a sensual roll of his hips, a tempting hand down the front lines of his body.

As Jeno’s eyes trail the hand, he realizes what Jaemin is wearing.

From the top, ice lines his neck. Little crystals wrap around his throat in the form of a necklace, sitting pretty above his collarbones.

Next on the way down, is a piece who’s structure looks like a tank top—but it’s not made of fabric. Instead, a big lattice pattern of black beads and more crystals alike is what’s draped over his torso, everything underneath remaining exposed. The black looks stark against the pale skin of Jaemin’s torso, and the pattern is large enough that it leaves nothing up for imagination: Jaemin’s nipples on display, pert, and his abs glistening under the stage lights.

Jeno’s throat dries up, but that’s not where his hand ends.

It continues down, teasingly sweeping itself over his hips, where the tiniest pair of spandex shorts sit. If Jaemin were to stand in the right lighting, Jeno’s sure it’d be see-through.

Past his hips, Jaemin brushes just the tips of fingers delicately along the lines of his legs, which seem to stretch on for miles. Given the length of his legs, Jaemin sinks down to the ground along with his hand, until his fingers reach the top straps of his black, sparkly pumps. The heel is thick, but Jeno doesn’t see more than that, distracted by the way Jaemin is squatting.

It should be an unflattering pose, in the midst of a strip club, but Jaemin looks ethereal. It’s quite literally impossible to look away.

Jeno follows his body all the way back up to Jaemin’s eyes, his heart skipping a beat when he sees that Jaemin is still staring right at him. And he thinks his heart all but drops when he sees Jaemin wink at him, just like he did back in the library, not even twelve hours ago.

“You’re sweating,” Mark remarks, just as Jaemin springs back up and starts swivelling his hips, and yeah, Jeno needs to look away for a moment before he positively combusts. “Try to make it less obvious, okay?”

“How did you know he works here?” Jeno asks through gritted teeth, immediately grabbing the glass of water in front of him and drinking the whole thing in one go. He desperately needs to cool down.

“Yuta hyung came here for Johnny hyung’s bachelor party a few months back,” Mark explains, then lets his eyes flee over to the stage again for a brief moment. “He recognized Jaemin from school.

Jeno is having a bit of trouble trying to process everything, so he clears Sungchan’s glass of water too in an attempt to calm himself down.

“Sungchan and Jisungie said we’d forget about boys tonight,” Jeno mutters after some minutes. He turns to Mark, raising an inquisitive eyebrow. “But you brought me to the strip club where the specific boy on my mind works?”

“Isn’t this the perfect distraction?” Mark smiles, and Jeno wants to ask just how the hell it’s the perfect distraction, but Mark continues to speak before he can. “Read the room, Jeno: he can’t stop staring at you either.”

Jeno chooses that moment to look back at the stage, and for sure, Jaemin is staring at him.

“What if he just thinks I’m ugly?” Jeno blurts, quickly looking back at the napkin in front of him. He’s already memorized all the imprints, by this point.

“Jeno, you’re not ugly,” Mark sighs, a comforting hand coming up to rest on the younger’s shoulder. “You’re like, handsome. And right now, you’re kinda hot. So make a move, man. Pretty sure Jaemin is as interested as you are.”

“He’s not wrong,” a voice purrs, right into Jeno’s ear. He jumps at the unfamiliar timbre, almost cursing before he’s able to catch his tongue. “A bit jumpy, are you, Lee?”

Jeno feels his mouth parch, feels his heartbeat speed up, feels his palms sweat—and sees Mark leave his seat with a shit eating grin.

“Jeno Lee, right?” Jaemin asks as he takes Mark’s seat, not bothering to hide the way he looks Jeno up and down. “I’ve heard about you…”

“Y-You have?” Jeno stutters, and suddenly finds it quite hard to breathe. His hands reach for the first thing he can find, which ends up being the poor napkin which had been providing him an excellent distraction.

Now though, the napkin is crumpled between his fingers, and he can’t take his eyes off of Jaemin. Not even the rabbit-pace his heart is beating at can make him take his eyes off of Jaemin.

He’s even more stunning up close—Jeno sees the glitter in his eyeshadow from this distance, and the way there’s a light sheen of sweat on his skin. Must be from how he was dancing…

“Of course,” Jaemin smiles, all pretty, pearly white teeth on display. He sits up straighter, and the crystals around his neck move a little—and now Jeno’s staring at his neck, and should really, really stop… “You're quite infamous amongst the library volunteers, did you know?” he asks in a whisper, and mortification runs fresh down Jeno’s spine.

“That’s…” Jeno sighs, grabbing a glass and hoping he can find his voice again once he swallows down his embarrassment. “… Humiliating.”

But he supposes bringing an empty glass to his lips is even more humiliating. Especially when Jaemin is laughing, when Jeno looks over.

“Why? Don’t wanna be known as the boy who stares at me all the time?” Jaemin asks, an inquisitive tone to his voice, a challenging eyebrow arched prettily. “It’s better than some of the other humours I’ve heard floating around… Like Jung Sungchan’s older brother setting the emergency sprinkles off in the radio room.”

“Well, that’s not a rumour,” Jeno mumbles, lips instantly curling up into a smile when he remembers having heard the story first hand. “Jaehyun hyung really did set the sprinklers off. Had to compensate for all the damaged equipment too.”

“Jeno,” Jaemin suddenly says, and Jeno feels something make contact with his jean clad shin right after. One glance down tells him that it’s the heel of Jaemin’s pumps. “Why are you talking about another man when you’re with me?”

Jeno gapes only for two seconds before he regains the mental capacity to think. And he tries his very best to ignore the way Jaemin’s heel keeps making its way up higher, and higher.

“You started it, Jaemin—” Jeno starts, but is instantly cut off by Jaemin sucking through his teeth, looking at him with something akin to fire in his eyes. If Jeno didn’t know any better, he’d think Jaemin is mad at him…

“That’s not my name,” Jaemin says, looking at Jeno expectantly. “Not here, at least.”

When Jaemin tilts his head to the side, looking at Jeno knowingly, Mark’s words from earlier ring in his ears.

“Here, he goes by Nana .”

“You started it… Nana,” Jeno repeats, correcting himself this time. And it’s worth it, when he sees Jaemin smile brightly, pleased with his words.

“Then should I finish it too, Jeno?” Jaemin asks, digging the heel of his pump into the flesh of Jeno’s thigh, painfully reminding Jeno that it had been making its way up all this time. “I’d hate to leave things like this… So ambiguous,” he adds, a pout forming on his lips as he speaks. Somehow, it puts an emphasis on his shiny lip gloss.

“I don’t—” Jeno says weakly, having to pause halfway when Jaemin hooks his foot under Jeno’s chair, pulling him forward in his seat. There’s significantly less space between them now, and Jeno has to remind himself to breathe instead of individually counting each of Jaemin’s eyelashes. “Cash. I don’t have any cash…”

Maybe if Mark, Sungchan, and Jisung told him they were going to a strip club, he might’ve. But alas…

“Ah,” Jaemin nods understandingly, but he doesn’t back off like Jeno expects him to. Instead he leans forward, and if Jeno really concentrates, he can feel Jaemin’s breath. “Don’t you worry about that. Think of this as returning the favour.”

Jeno is about to ask what favour, but Jaemin continues speaking before he can.

“You’ve been so diligently staring at me for months,” he says, ignorant of the way Jeno’s ears flush red at his words. “So I don’t plan on taking my eyes off of you for a single second tonight, Jeno.”

Jeno doesn’t remember much of anything after that—probably because his brain had been rendered fuzzy at Jaemin’s bold statements. The next thing he knows is that Jaemin is leading him to a room (Jeno notices that the plaque on the door is labelled ‘ Nana ’, and then proceeds to blush all the way to his neck), pushing him down onto the edge of the bed, and locking the door behind him.

“Don’t look so scared,” Jaemin says once he turns back around to look at Jeno. “It’ll make me think we’re not on the same page.” Jaemin takes a few, calculated steps forward, his heels making loud and intimidating sounds with every step. Jeno has to look up at him from this angle, Jaemin having the height advantage since Jeno’s seated on the bed, and because his heels make him ridiculously taller.

Jeno flushes hot all over again when Jaemin crouches down until they are at eye level, his pretty white bangs falling into his eyes, his pink tongue coming out to wet his lips briefly.

“We are on the same page, right, Jeno?”

And maybe it’s the way Jaemin looks, merely a few inches away from him. Or maybe it’s the way Jaemin asks his question, almost cooing at this point.

But Jeno knows it’s the way Jaemin is looking at him: a hunger in his eyes, like he’s been waiting to trap Jeno in his room and have his way. And honestly? Jeno is Jeno, which is why he’s more than happy to let Jaemin have his way.

“Yeah,” he says, nodding his head as well. It makes Jaemin smile, and Jeno decides right then and there that he wants to be the reason Jaemin smiles like that more often.

“Good to hear,” Jaemin purrs, his hand coming up to brush a bit of Jeno’s hair out of his eyes. “You’re so handsome, Jeno. It feels like a treat, seeing your face up close.”

“You’re even more handsome,” Jeno sighs out, feeling himself relax the more Jaemin touches him. His hands move down from his hair to his cheeks, lightly tracing the outlines, and then tracing the outlines of his nose, his eyes, and lastly; his lips. “Nana, you’re so gorgeous…”

Jaemin smiles, and he looks less smug, more pleased at Jeno’s statement.

“How gorgeous?” Jaemin asks, now both of his hands trailing down from Jeno’s face to his neck, his touch feather light against his skin before his hands run down his clothes torso. Even through his clothes, Jaemin’s hands feel warm.

“Can’t take my eyes off you,” Jeno admits, and thinks that Jaemin is getting a power trip off of this, when he sees Jaemin move his head around, watching as Jeno’s eyes follow his every single movement, truly unable to look away. “So… Pretty.”

“Pretty, you say,” the other mumbles, finally bringing his hands back up to cup Jeno’s jaw, putting his agonizing torture to an end. Both his thumbs lay on the plush of his bottom lip, and Jaemin stares at his mouth intently before making eye contact again. “I’m gonna kiss you now.”

And Jeno releases a breath he didn’t even know he was holding in.

“Please.”

So their mouths meet in the middle, Jaemin’s tasting of mint, while Jeno himself tastes like… Well, nothing. He had downed three glasses of water anyway…

Immediately getting addicted to the minty freshness of Jaemin’s mouth, Jeno licks along the seam of the other’s lips, and is more than pleased when Jaemin opens up willingly, eager. Jeno runs his tongue along the roof of Jaemin’s mouth, over the back of his teeth, and drinks up every single sound that spills from the back of Jaemin’s throat.

Every whine, every breathy moan, every pleased hum, Jeno swallows them all down, until he feels the warmth pool in his gut, blood rushing to between his legs.

And it must be uncomfortable for Jaemin, to be kissing Jeno while standing up, crouched over for him. So Jeno makes it easier by standing up too, keeping Jaemin close with a hand on his waist, the other on the back of his neck.

Standing up, Jaemin is still taller than Jeno because of his shoes.

“Who would’ve thought,” Jaemin says with a gasp as they part for air, his eyes shutting themselves closed when Jeno’s lips move down from his mouth to his jaw, peppering small and wet kisses along the bone. “That you’d be such a great kisser.”

Jeno smiles despite himself, taking the words as a compliment. He’s sure Jaemin can feel the way his lips curve up against his skin, but decides not to think about it in favour of lifting his head to look at Jaemin again.

Jaemin, who’s now kissed completely pink. His lips are a swollen red, this time shiny not because of his lipgloss, but with the aid of Jeno’s saliva. His cheeks are also painted a pretty, dusty pink, and when Jeno trails his eyes down, his flush travels all the way down to his neck.

His pretty, long, pale neck, which looks too empty without purples, pinks, and reds decorating the skin.

So Jeno takes it upon himself to latch onto the skin of Jaemin’s neck, sucking bruise after hickey onto the flesh, and then laving over the fresh marks with his tongue in an effort to soothe the sting.

“Nana, lie down,” Jeno mumbles breathlessly, both hands now on Jaemin’s waist, and he hums lowly when Jaemin’s hands in his hair tug gently. “Wanna kiss you all over—so fucking beautiful.”

“All over?” Jaemin asks, swallowing the saliva gathered in his mouth as their eyes meet, Jeno’s dark with want , with desire , and this is what Jaemin wanted when he first set his eyes on Jeno when he first noticed him staring in the library.

How bad does Jeno really want him?

“Every single inch,” Jeno whispers, his words pressed promisingly into the skin where his neck meets his shoulder. “Won’t you let me?”

Jaemin would be a fool to deny Jeno, after all, he’s the one who said he’d repay the favour… Jaemin supposes he can do that by letting Jeno have his way.

“Well, what are you waiting for?” Jaemin asks, words quiet between them, one of his eyebrows arched in question. “There’s a lot to cover…”

And so Jeno doesn’t waste any more time, gently guiding Jaemin to the bed, and laying him down on the sheets. Jeno is gentle, pressing Jaemin into the mattress with a softness Jaemin hasn’t felt before. His hands hover as they travel over his body, as if he’s too nervous to actually touch.

And more than anything, Jaemin finds that endearing.

“Touch,” he whispers, but it’s enough to bring Jeno’s eyes up from where he was staring at the intricate pattern of his beaded top. “You can touch me, you know? I don't bite,” he grins, his lips curling into a smirk when he sees Jeno’s ears flush a darker shade of red. “Unless you’d like that.”

“Maybe later,” Jeno hums, a shy smile of his own taking over his lips. “For now, just enjoy, Nana.”

And enjoy Jaemin does, when Jeno’s lips send buzzes of current down his spine, while also rendering the blood in his veins hot and molten. His lips are soft, if not a bit cool, but the way they sear kisses into Jaemin’s skin makes his mind blank, makes him forget about everything except Jeno right above him.

Jeno, who’s lips keep their promise of kissing every inch of his body, who’s hands keep their promise of touching as they tweak at his nipples through the openings of his top, who’s knees nudge Jaemin’s own two legs open, settling comfortably between them both.

“A-Ah…” Jaemin moans softly, arching up into Jeno’s hands just the slightest bit.

“Hm?” Jeno hums playfully from his spot between Jaemin’s legs, where he lays in his stomach, kissing just above the other’s hip. “What is it?”

Jaemin just shakes his head, but realizes that Jeno wants a vocal answer when the latter nibbles in the skin right around Jaemin’s hip bone. Jaemin hisses, but also throws his head back in pleasure. Maybe Jeno really does like biting…

“Just… Feels good,” Jaemin ends up admitting, his own two hands naturally making their way to Jeno’s hair, where it sits black and styled atop his head. “Really, really good.”

“Nana,” Jeno mutters, looking up at Jaemin from under his eyelashes, and Jaemin swears, he’s never seen a prettier sight. “You can pull a bit, if you’d like,” he smiles, and then lets his fingers dance along the hem of his insanely tiny shorts. “Can I…?”

“Do all that you’d like,” Jaemin sighs happily, body going completely lax as Jeno hooks his fingers beneath the waistband. “And if you do a bit more than that, I won’t mind,” he adds cheekily, winking while he simultaneously raises his hips to help Jeno strip him of his shorts.

Once the article comes off, Jeno is face to face with Jaemin’s bare crotch, and he only flushes a little at the abrupt sight. More than anything, he’s smug as he notices that Jaemin is hard already, his cock almost curving up where it slaps against his abs.

“Look at what you’ve done,” Jaemin coos, a bit of mockery, but a lot of pleasure dripping from his tone. Probably because of the cool air which soothes the heat between his legs. “What’re you gonna do about it?”

Jaemin’s words prompt Jeno to tentatively reach for his cock, nimble fingers wrapping around the length as he slowly guides it to his mouth. Before Jaemin can even comprehend what Jeno is doing, the latter’s lips wrap around the tip of his cock, wet, warm, and enough to have Jaemin moaning softly again.

“Jeno,” he sighs, eyes fluttering shut on their own accord as Jeno takes him in deeper bit by bit, letting Jaemin get used to the pleasure his mouth has to offer. Jaemin’s fingers tug, woven into Jeno’s hair, and the latter hums appreciatively. Jaemin can tell he likes the sensation.

Jeno takes his time as he goes down on Jaemin, taking him in more bit by bit until there’s nothing left, until Jeno’s nose hits Jaemin’s clean-shaven, soft skin. Runs his tongue along the prominent vein, pulls his mouth off just to sink all the way back down again, uses his hands to keep Jaemin’s hips pinned to the bed.

Until Jaemin is breathless, until his moans get louder, his whines get higher, his whimpers get louder. Until his thighs tremble and his knuckles turn white, until he’s warning Jeno that,

“I’m gonna come,” Jaemin gasps, his spine arching, but never fully because of the hands Jeno has keeping him in place. He twists, torn between wanting to escape the addictive, overbearing pleasure, or succumbing to the warm wetness. “J-Jeno… Jeno!”

Jeno pulls off all while keeping his eyes locked on Jaemin, moving tentatively slowly, pushing his lips into a pout as he does, just because he knows it’ll get a reaction out of Jaemin.

And it does, in the form of Jaemin groaning, his head falling back onto the pillow beneath it, his fingers loosening just the tiniest bit in his hair. Once Jeno’s mouth has completely left Jaemin’s cock, rendering him exposed to the cool air of the room, Jaemin’s body isn’t as taut as a bowstring.

But now, after being denied an orgasm that had been so close, Jaemin knows that he’s extra—

“Sensitive?” Jeno coos, looking at Jaemin curiously when he jumps at Jeno’s touch on his thigh. He hadn’t even done much, just wrapped a hand around his thigh to push his legs further apart, but all of Jaemin’s nerves are on edge, and Jeno’s touch is the equivalent of an electric shock. “That’s precious…”

Jaemin’s cheeks flush dark at Jeno’s comment, but he’s quick to gather his bearings, yanking on the black strands of Jeno’s hair to gather his attention.

And he gets it, in the form of a pained grunt, and dark, aroused eyes meeting his own.

“Kiss me,” Jaemin demands, his eyes scanning over Jeno’s body as the latter climbs over to him, until they’re back in their original position: Jeno hovering over Jaemin. “And then strip.”

Jeno listens easily, Jaemin learns, as he leans down to kiss him without any inhibitions, their kiss wet, messy, and loud. Their lips smack together with saliva and the precome gathered in Jeno’s mouth, tongues messily licking over each other.

Jaemin’s hips find themselves grinding up against Jeno’s jean clad thigh without him noticing, and he only realizes when Jeno pushes that thigh down harder between his legs.

Jaemin cries out into their kiss, ripping his mouth away and breaking their kiss with a lot more difficulty than he was expecting.

“Off, off,” he says, pushing Jeno back by the shoulders. Until Jaemin can manoeuvre their position so that he’s the one in Jeno’s lap, already sliding Jeno’s leather jacket off of his shoulders. “Fuck, take all of your clothes off right now, Jeno.”

Expectedly, Jeno listens well, pulling his shirt over his head, and then reaching down to fumble with his jeans. Jaemin had already unbuckled his belt, and had intended on finishing the job by unbuttoning his buttons too, but he’s too distracted by the view of Jeno’s bare, sculpt torso.

Immediately, almost like he’s unable to help himself, Jaemin’s hands start roaming along Jeno’s chest; palms squeezing his pecs, and fingers pinching his perky nipples. When Jeno keens, and moans breathily, Jaemin pinches again.

“Your sounds are so adorable,” Jaemin smiles, one hand still making work on Jeno’s chest while the other trails down to explore his abs. Jaemin likes the feeling of them clenching right under his simple touch, clearly affected. Somewhere below the waist, the knowledge makes Jaemin’s gut bubble. “Make more for me, okay?”

Jeno nods his head, because at this point, there’s not much he won’t do for Jaemin.

Jaemin proceeds to finally unbutton Jeno’s pants, leaning back a bit and letting Jeno shed himself of the unnecessary clothing. Once freed, Jeno’s cock slaps loudly against his abs, and Jaemin feels his mouth instantly water.

But he’ll save indulging in himself for a later date. For now, he just wants Jeno.

“Jeno,” Jaemin calls, his hand wrapping around Jeno’s length warmly, and the latter’s hips instantly buck up into the touch. Jaemin smiles once more, pleased at the reaction. Jeno, too, seems a bit sensitive. “Take my top off for me? It’s getting uncomfortable,” he asks, slapping a pout onto his lips for extra measure, just because he knows it’ll always get him what he wants.

Though he doubts Jeno would’ve done anything but obey in the first place anyway.

Jeno’s hands reach for the back of Jaemin’s top, where a zipper rests. Just as his fingers catch the tail of the zipper, they fumble, all because Jaemin starts to stroke his hand up and down.

Tantalizing movements, rough on the downstroke, twisting his wrist on the upstroke, all while relishing in the absolutely heavenly sounds Jeno makes.

“Fuck, Nana,” Jeno groans, head falling forward onto Jaemin’s shoulder, his teeth digging into Jaemin’s shoulder in an attempt to ground himself. Jaemin makes a mental note to maybe next time, satiate Jeno with his fingers in his mouth instead.

Jaemin giggles, because he’s enjoying Jeno’s reactions a bit too much. Jeno’s hands have gone lax on his back, and Jaemin whines a little to remind him of the task at that.

“My top, Jeno,” Jaemin frowns poutily, looking down at where Jeno’s cock is between them. For the sake of his own arousal, Jaemin takes his own length into the same hand, and immediately moans in tandem with Jeno at the sensation of their most sensitive skin rubbing against each other. “Off, off. Take it off babe, fuck.”

Jeno recognizes the desperation in Jaemin’s voice, which is why he tries to make quick work of unzipping thr stupidly stubborn zipper.

Key word is try though, because Jeno can’t seem to grab at it through the overwhelming haze of pleasure Jaemin’s hand strokes are putting him through.

In a bout of frustration, Jeno all but growls, simply holding onto the back neck hole of the top, and yanking it apart in two opposite directions.

Beads and crystals alike scatter across the bed, some managing to spill onto the floor and create a ruckus.

“Jeno!” Jaemin gasps, looking around them at the mess of beads and crystals, eyes widening as he takes in the mess on the floor too. “Do you know how expensive that was? It cost like four clients!”

Jeno instantly glares at Jaemin after hearing his words, and before Jaemin knows it, Jeno is flipping them over until he’s once again, looming over above him.

“Do you think you should talk about other people when you’re here with me? Like this? After I did everything you asked?” Jeno asks, an eyebrow raised as he waits for an answer, almost like he’s challenging Jaemin. The latter would be a filthy liar if he said he didn’t find Jeno extremely hot in this moment, but the way he twitches against Jeno’s thigh must be a giveaway anyway.

“T-The top…” Jaemin weakly attempts to argue, though his brain is muddled with thoughts of how Jeno had so effortlessly ripped his shirt apart, how the glint in his eyes is… Almost possessive.

“Do you want a new one?” he asks, using his knee to spread open Jaemin’s legs, much like he did earlier. “Should I leave and tell the fifty year old men outside that you’re ready to dance for them? I bet you can rake up another four tonight, don’t you?”

Jeno asks curiously, but the undertone in his voice sounds anything but curious. Instead, it sounds challenging, like he dares Jaemin to agree with him, like he dares Jaemin to try him, and see where it gets him.

And maybe if this was another day, and maybe if Jaemin wasn’t so ridiculously turned on right now, he’d play with Jeno more, and he’d push at more of his buttons.

But Jaemin’s so hard that he’s aching, it practically hurts at this point, so all he can do is shake his head no , and watch with bated breath as Jeno’s expression mellows out into something smug.

Jeno grunts.

“That’s what I thought,”

Jeno brings his head down once again, urging Jaemin’s legs to spread open wider, when his eyes catch what they hadn’t before.

Nestled right between Jaemin’s two cheeks is, with the end jewel being a crystal, butt plug.

Jeno’s eyes look back up at Jaemin, waiting expectantly for an answer.

Jaemin simply scoffs.

“Prep takes too long,” he explains simply, crossing his legs behind Jeno’s back. Jeno doesn’t know what he’s doing until he hears the clunk of Jaemin’s shoes hitting the floor. “So stop wasting time, Jeno. Are you going to fuck me or not? I could always find another client—my shift isn’t over for a few more hours.”

This time when Jeno looks up at Jaemin, he sees that the latter is sweating a bit. He’s flushed all over, down to his chest, which is rising and falling rapidly in anticipation. The only thing he’s wearing, is the crystal necklace laying delicately above Jaemin’s collarbones, where the skin is mottled in a hue of colours.

Jeno smirks, and then catches the crystal of the end of the butt plug between his two fingers.

“‘M gonna fuck the attitude out of you,” Jeno promises, yanking the plug out in one fluid, unforgiving motion. “Make you forget about every single damn client—you’re mine tonight,” Jeno hisses, replacing the plug with three of his fingers immediately.

Jaemin moans at the slight stretch and burn, mouth falling open as he lets the sounds tumble past his lips.

I’m the one who’s been waiting for months. I deserve this,” Jeno declares, and while Jaemin had been thinking the exact same thing since the moment he laid his eyes on Jeno and made his decision, something about hearing it from Jeno himself is enough to make him snap.

“If you’re so deserving,” Jaemin grits out through his teeth, whimpering right after as Jeno’s fingers brush against his prostate. “Y-You’d fuck me right now. Come on, Jeno… Fill me up.”

Jeno’s fingers leave Jaemin’s hole in an instant, and Jaemin clenches around nothing but air as he sees Jeno stroke himself a few times, looking around the room haphazardly before his eyes land on the bedside table.

He fumbles inside the drawer for a bit, but manages to retrieve the bottle of lube and slick himself up generously before Jaemin can complain about hurrying up.

Jeno grabs the pillow which Jaemin isn’t laying his head on, and places it right under the small of Jaemin’s back.

Jaemin wonders if Jeno can feel the way his heart flutters at the action.

But he doesn’t get to think much about that, since he feels the head of Jeno’s cock start probing at his hole.

Immediately, the sensation has Jaemin moaning, opening his legs even more, urging Jeno to go on, inviting him in.

And Jeno is no one to decline such an invitation.

So he pushes in gently, and listens acutely in on every breath which escapes Jaemin’s lips. Every breath, every drawn out moan, every gasp for air.

Oh ,” Jaemin moans, fingers curling into the sheets at his sides. Jeno notices this, and brings one of his hands to one of Jaemin’s, letting both of their fingers curl together instead. “Shit, Jeno—fuck, so good ,” he gasps, throwing his head back when Jeno’s hips meet flush against the back of Jaemin’s thighs.

Jeno is fully sheathed, and Jaemin can swear he feels it in his stomach.

“Are you okay?” Jeno asks after a minute or two of him just littering Jaemin’s face with kisses, waiting for his breath to even out as he gets adjusted. The words are mumbled right into the skin by his ear, and Jaemin shivers at Jeno’s deep timbre ringing so close.

“Mhm,” Jaemin nods his head, and then locks his ankles on the small of Jeno’s back. “Please move now. Fuck me, Jeno. Fuck me hard .”

And because Jeno would do absolutely anything for Jaemin, he pulls almost completely out before ramming back in.

The moan he punches out of Jaemin is entirely filthy, grossly hot, and completely worth it. Jeno wants to hear those sounds on loop, so he makes good with his hips, quick to find a rhythm which has Jaemin moaning at every thrust.

The pace is fast from the get go, Jaemin’s throat working itself raw with how loud he screams when Jeno manages to find his prostate. Jeno keeps that angle as he continues, the praises falling from Jaemin’s lips only encouraging him further.

“Fuck, fuck— fuck me so good Jeno, you’re in so deep,” he curses lewdly, and when Jeno looks into Jaemin’s eyes, he sees that they’re crossed. At this point, Jeno might die early.

Jeno fucks Jaemin harder, pushes him more into the mattress to reach deeper inside of him, and Jaemin positively wails.

“Ah, ah, Jeno,” he whimpers, shakily bringing their connected hands to his abdomen, right under the beginnings of his abs. “Can’t you feel yourself? You’re fucking so good, you’re in so deep—” Jaemin is cut off by his own gasp, head thrown back, neck bared, eyes squeezed shut.

And Jeno does feel himself, feels the slight outline of himself through Jaemin’s skin, moving in and out.

That’s all it takes for Jeno to know his orgasm couldn’t be held off any longer.

“I’m gonna come,” Jeno groans loudly, somehow managing to go even faster, ignorant of the way the headboard bangs against the wall. “Fuck, gonna come in your pretty hole.”

“Pretty?” Jaemin repeats, and when Jaemin looks back down at him, there’s a dazed look in his eyes. Jeno feels his heart swell, knowing he’s the reason why that look is there.

“So fucking pretty, Nana,” Jeno assures, leaning down to kiss Jaemin because he can’t help it anymore, not when he sees how bitten raw they are.

Jaemin moans into their kiss, as Jeno’s hips now grind circles right into his prostate. An onslaught of overwhelming pleasure hits Jaemin to the point where he’s even unable to kiss Jeno back properly, and it’s now more breathing and moaning into each other’s mouths more than anything.

“Please,” Jaemin sobs, his hand squeezing Jeno’s impossibly tighter. “Make me come. I wanna come, Jeno—”

Jeno listens so well, to the point where he goes for the final stretch, ramming into Jaemin with one goal in mind. Jeno’s hand goes down to stroke Jaemin to completion, but before his hand can even make contact with his flushed, red cock, Jaemin is coming all over himself; arching off the bed, eyes rolling into the back of his head, clenching impossibly tight around Jeno.

Tight enough to have him spill his load immediately, moaning loudly right into Jaemin’s ear as he does. Jaemin whimpers as he feels Jeno’s hot cum shoot into him, panting as he tries to catch his breath.

Once they’ve both rode out the waves of their orgasm, Jeno is slow and gentle with the way he pulls out. He’s unable to tear his eyes away from the way Jaemin’s hole spills, his cum leaking out alongside some lube.

“Jeno,” Jaemin whines, closing his legs as much as he can, since they’re a bit hard to manoeuvre. They feel like jelly, and his knees are so, so weak after that orgasm… “Stop staring.”

Jeno raises an eyebrow at Jaemin’s ironic words, and then chuckles before he can help himself. He leans forward again just to brush Jaemin’s sweaty bangs off of his forehead, kissing the warm skin there before making his way to gently kiss Jaemin’s lips too.

“I thought you liked my attention?” Jeno mutters, their lips still touching with every word spoken. “Plus, if this is how we end up every time I’m caught staring, there’s no reason for me to stop.”

Jaemin smacks Jeno’s shoulder lightly in a weak attempt to reprimand him, but still melts into Jeno’s kiss right after.

“Next time you’re at the library,” Jaemin starts, his own hands brushing through the messy strands of hair atop Jeno’s head. Courtesy of all his pulling, he assumes. “Don’t be so shy…”

Jeno grins, and nods his head.
