Chapter 1: The Beginning

Chapter Text

Eijirou sat on the couch, his eyes fixated on the television screen as he popped a piece of grilled chicken into his mouth.

It was relatively calm for a Thursday evening. He had returned from work two hours ago and after taking a warm shower and making himself dinner, he settled himself on the couch and switched on the drama he had been engrossed in as of late.

It was meant to be a peaceful evening.

Or so he thought.

As he watched the girl pour her feelings out to her crush, loud knocking reached his ears. He glanced over his shoulder at the door, arching a brow in confusion.

“I wonder who that is…” he mumbled.

Setting his plate down on the coffee table, he stood up and stretched. The knocking got louder as Eijirou walked over to the door.

“Alright, alright, I’m coming! Geez, no need to try and break my door down!” he ran a hand through his hair as he approached the door. “It was getting to the good part, too...was there really a need to come and interrupt me as I’m watching my drama?” he wondered out loud.

Unlocking the door, he pulled it open to reveal an irritated Katsuki.

“Oh, Bakubro! What’s up—“

“Let me in, Hair for Brains.” Katsuki barked out, shoving Eijirou aside and storming into the redhead’s apartment.

Eijirou blinked his eyes twice.

“Okay then…” he closed the door and locked it, glancing over his shoulder at his friend. “You didn’t tell me you were coming. What brings you here?” he tried again.

Katsuki lifted his arms to show Eijirou the two plastic bags in his hands.

“I brought beer and snacks. I’m gonna crash here for the night.” he explained.

“For real? I thought you had plans with Monoma.” Eijirou pointed.

Katsuki shot daggers in the redhead’s direction.

Don’t get me started with that annoying little shit.” Katsuki snapped.

“Oh boy...did you guys have another fight?” Eijirou asked as he made his way over to the couch.

He sat down beside Katsuki, who was busy pulling beer cans and bags of flavored chips from the plastic bags. Katsuki grabbed for a can, cracking it open and letting the foam spill a little from the top.

“What do you think?”

“Well, I’m guessing you did.”

Eijirou grabbed for a can as well, cracking it open as Katsuki spoke.

“To be precise, I ended it. Our relationship, that is.” Katsuki told him.

“Seriously? You two broke up? You guys were so in love with each other!” Eijirou exclaimed.

Katsuki snorted.

“In love with each other, my ass.” he took a swig, bubbles tickling the back of his throat. “We passed the honeymoon phase in our relationship a long time ago. He’s so self-centered, I swear to fucking god. He only thinks about himself and doesn’t give a shit about other people’s feelings or thoughts.” he stated.

“Not surprised to hear that, Monoma’s always been self-centered.” Eijirou eyed Katsuki curiously. “Seriously though, dude, what exactly happened? Spill the tea! Give me all the details!” he said, shaking Katsuki slightly.

“Stop fucking shaking me, you piece of shit! God, you’re sounding a whole lot like Smokey Eyes…” Katsuki grumbled.

“Smokey Eyes—wait, are you talking about my girlfriend?!”

“Yeah, I am! She wears too much of that smokey makeup shit around her eyes!”

“So what?! She looks hot when she does it!”

“What the fuck ever!”

“Okay, we are seriously off track here.” Eijirou took a swig from his can. “Tell me what happened.” he said.

Katsuki released a deep sigh.

“As you know, I’ve been stressed recently about getting enough money to pay the bills this month. I’ve been working a lot so I could get the cash and because of that, I haven’t been able to make time for him. So when I finally got time to see him tonight, he started throwing a fit about how it took me until nearly the end of the month to make time for him. I tried explaining to him what was going on but he kept talking over me and the argument escalated from there.” Katsuki told him.

“And then that led to the breakup, yes?” Eijirou guessed.

“Yeah. You know, I figured I’d be able to tolerate it because he was my boyfriend and I was head over heels for him back then. Even when we had our fights, I believed things would turn out fine. But now? It’s over for good. I’ve had enough of his narcissistic bullshit.” Katsuki said.

He took another swig from his cab as Eijirou clapped the blond on the back.

“Good on you, bro! It was about time you two broke up, anyway. You and Monoma were like oil and water.” he told him.

Katsuki shook his can a little, the amber liquid sloshing about inside as he knitted his brows.

“It does hurt, though. I really did like him. But like you said, it was about time we ended things, so I can’t do anything else about it.” he stated.

“Yeah, I hear you.” Eijirou said.

Katsuki downed the remainder of his beer and grabbed for a bag of spicy chips, tearing it open.

“Well, I guess there’s something I can do: drink the night away.” he bit into a chip as he looked over at the redhead. “How does that sound?” he asked.

“I’m down for whatever you wanna do, Bakugou. If you wanna drink the night away, then let’s do it!” Eijirou finished his beer and grabbed for another can. “You know, Mina and I were supposed to have date night tonight but she had to cancel on me because she had some extra work to do.” he explained.

“Being the editor of a fashion magazine sounds rough.” Katsuki commented.

“It does. She’s busy all the time, so it’s hard to carve time out of our schedules for dates and stuff.” Eijirou stated.

“Well, at least she doesn’t throw a hissy fit about it like that fucking prick.” Katsuki bit out.

“That’s because Mina’s not narcissistic.” Eijirou said.

“Damn straight.” Katsuki glanced over at the television screen. “Is that that shitty drama you keep talking about?” he asked.

“It’s not shitty! But yeah, that’s the drama I’ve been talking about. It’s so freaking good.” Eijirou replied.

Katsuki scoffed.

“For you, it is.” he commented.

He bit into another chip before raising his can.

“Let’s drink the night away, Shitty Hair.” Katsuki said.

“Yeah, let’s do that!” Eijirou raised his can, as well. “To getting totally wasted and forgetting about Monoma!” he declared.

“Cheers, I’ll drink to that.” Katsuki said as they clinked their cans together.

Bringing it to their lips, they chugged the remainder of their beer down before grabbing for another can.

The night progressed like this, the drama accompanied by lively chatter filling the apartment space. With each can Katsuki drank, he grew more intoxicated. The blond hiccuped as he ate a few more chips, slamming his sixth can of beer onto the coffee table.

“Fuckin’ Neito...that bastard, thinkin’ he’s all that...what a goddamn prick…” he grumbled, slurring his words a little.

“Yeah, he’s a prick! A big one!” a semi-drunk Eijirou declared, pumping his fist into the air as he swayed a little from side to side.

“And get this, Shitty Hair...when I headed out of his apartment, he started screaming. He was like, ‘You won’t be able to stay away from me for long! You’ll come running back to me soon enough because you won’t be able to find another guy like me!’” Katsuki said, gesticulating as he tried imitating his ex-boyfriend.

Eijirou snorted.

“Seriously?! For real?!” he exclaimed.

“Yeah! He sounded so sure of himself!” Katsuki shouted.

The blond’s cheeks were flushed pink from the alcohol and his world was turning into a colorful kaleidoscope, but he couldn’t find it in him to care. He finished off his beer as he glanced down at his phone, which he brought out at some point during their drinking session.

“I got an idea.” he said.

“Idea?” Eijirou leaned in towards Katsuki. “What kind of idea?” he asked.

Katsuki swatted Eijirou away as he tried grabbing for his phone, grunting when he knocked it off the table. He glared at the cellular device as it hit the floor.

“Fuck.” he bent down and grabbed it, tilting it forward slightly to reveal the phone’s lock screen. “I’m—hic!—I’m gonna get back at that little shit.” he said.

He typed in his passcode with clumsy fingers, tapping on the App Store icon once the phone was unlocked.

“Imma go find someone on that dating app Kamidolt used to find Ears.” Katsuki said.

“Ohhh...you mean Matchmakr?” Eijirou asked.

Katsuki nodded.

“Yeah, that fuckin’ app…” he mumbled.

Typing in the app’s name, he tapped on the first app that came up, which had a neon pink icon with a white heart outline in the center.

“Alright, give me that. I’ll do it for you, since you’re totally wasted.” the redhead said, taking the blond’s phone away from him.

Katsuki snarled.

“Gimme back my damn phone, Shitty Hair.” he growled, reaching out for his phone.

He grasped at air, face planting into one of the couch cushions. He raised his head, watching as Eijirou downloaded the app onto his phone and opened it once it was installed.

“Okay, the app’s been downloaded! Now, I just need to input some basic information…” Eijirou murmured as he began typing into the spaces provided.

Katsuki shifted closer, dropping his chin onto Eijirou’s shoulder as he watched what the redhead was doing curiously.

“The fuck you doin’ now, Shitty Hair…?” he slurred out.

“Setting up your profile! I’m just gathering up some of your best pics and then we’re going to come up with your bio.” Eijirou explained.

Katsuki grunted in response as Eijirou selected a decent selfie that the blond took a few weeks back at the gym, showing off his six pack as he held the hem of his red sleeveless top in between his teeth.

“Alrighty...now, let’s get to work on that bio. Is there anything you want to put down? It has to be five hundred words or less.” Eijirou asked.

“You do it, I don’t give a fuck what you put down…” Katsuki grumbled in response.

“Okay!” Eijirou replied.

Katsuki shifted his head a little so that his cheek was pressing against Eijirou’s shoulder, staring down at his phone screen as the redhead typed away.

“So, here’s what I got: I’m an avid food blogger, fitness instructor, and All Might enthusiast whose spicy curry will knock your socks off. I’m looking for something more than a one night stand, you can miss me with that casual hook-up business. If you’re up for All Might binge sessions and debating which episode is better over food and drinks, hit me up.” Eijirou showed him the phone screen. “Does this look good?” he asked.

“I guess. Let’s just get to finding matches already.” Katsuki barked out.

“Alright, alright.” Eijirou saved his bio and handed the phone back to him. “Here you go, bro! Time to get matching!” he declared.

Katsuki scowled down at his phone as he began scanning through the profiles that popped up on his screen, swiping left on all of them. Eijirou would sometimes make comments as Katsuki scanned the profiles.

After swiping right on the profile of a guy named Itsuki, another profile popped up.

“Oh! This guy looks cute!” Eijirou glanced down at Katsuki’s phone, eyeing the photo of a blond male with blue eyes and a beauty mark below his left eye seated in a chair at a coffee shop. “Makoto, huh...he looks like your type, Bakugou! He’s a chef, loves his coffee black like you do, and he’s even got blond hair—“

“Hard pass.” Katsuki said as he swiped left.

“What?! But dude, he was so your type!” Eijirou exclaimed, eyeing his friend in shock.

Katsuki snorted.

“I’m not in the mood for blonds…” he grumbled as he looked at the next profile that popped up.

He was met with freckled cheeks, curly green hair, sparkling viridian eyes, and a smile that knocked the wind out of him. The greenette was seated at the edge of a pool, his feet in the water as he flashed the camera a peace sign. The sunlight made his skin glow and his hair shine, brightening his face.

His heart skipped a beat.

“Fuck.” he breathed out.

He tapped on the picture of the greenette and he started going through the other photos he had uploaded, growing more entranced by how breathtaking he was. Eijirou glanced at the greenette’s photos along with his bio.

“Izuku...wow, he looks cute too! He’s even an All Might enthusiast like you.” he commented.

“He is?!” Katsuki exclaimed as he began to read the greenette’s bio.

As the bio stated, he was indeed an All Might enthusiast. That was enough to make Katsuki swipe right. As soon as he did, cheerful music started playing.

“What the—“

“It’s a match!” his phone chimed as the words appeared at the top of the screen in white cursive. Underneath were two circular icons, one of him and one of Izuku with a heart in between the two icons.

“Whoa! Bro, you just got matched!” he exclaimed.

“Huh? The hell does that mean?” Katsuki asked.

“It means that he also liked your profile, so you’ve been matched together. Now you guys can message each other and get to know one another.” Eijirou explained.

“Really…?” Katsuki murmured.

A wide grin broke across his lips.

“He liked my profile…” Katsuki chuckled. “He really liked my profile…” he trailed off.

He grabbed for another can of beer and cracked it open as he selected the option to start a conversation with Izuku. Taking a sip, he set the can down and began typing out a message with clumsy fingers.

Katsuki: hellooooo Dekuuuuuu

Katsuki stared down at his phone, waiting for a response. He grabbed for his can of beer and chugged some more of the bubbly liquid down, watching as three dots appeared in the corner before disappearing. He furrowed his brows at this.

“The fuck is he doing…?” he grumbled.

He got ready to type another message when Izuku’s response came in.

Izuku: Deku? Who’s Deku?

Katsuki cocked a brow at the greenette’s question.

“Who’s Deku, he asks…” he mumbled, chuckling to himself as he typed his response.

Katsuki: who do you think??? its yoooooou

Izuku: Me?! But...my name’s Izuku? Midoriya Izuku?

Katsuki: dunno, looks like deku to me

Izuku: But it’s Izuku…

Katsuki: deku, mizuku, what the fuck ever! You’re Deku and I’m Kacchan

Izuku: Kacchan? But your thing says Katsuki...is Kacchan your nickname?

Katsuki: not a nickname! my name is Kacchan! Bakugou Kacchan…

Izuku: I’ll just take it that Kacchan is a nickname of sorts. It’s cute.

Katsuki: Fvuckin dweed iz my name ya stupid Deku!?!

Izuku: I’m not a dweeb!

Izuku: Wait a minute, are you drunk???

Katsuki: no

Izuku: I find that hard to believe…

Katsuki: Whatever

Izuku: Okay...anyway, I saw on your bio that you also like All Might?

Katsuki: Damn straight I do. All Might is fucking amazing.

Izuku: I agree!!! (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Izuku: The cartoons are super amazing! I love how heroic All Might is and how he defeats the villains and saves all of the citizens! Gosh, I love the series so much that I’ve collected all the DVDs and a whole lot of merch.

Katsuki: Shit, you’re a huge fanboy. Don’t blame you though, All Might is the shit. I have a bit of his merch and comic books too.

Izuku: So cool! (☆▽☆)

Izuku: What’s your favorite episode?

Katsuki: I like all of them but my favorite has to be when he was fighting that Nomu in Kamino.

Izuku: I love that one too! It was so amazing, but also pretty emotional.

Izuku: You know, Kacchan, this is the first time I’ve found someone on here that also likes All Might. The other guys I’ve chatted with either think that my interest in the All Might cartoons is such a turn off or they don’t show an interest in what I’m interested in as much as I show an interest in their interests.

Katsuki: That’s probably because they don’t have good taste.

Izuku: Ahahaha, you might be right. But really, this is nice.

Katsuki: I think it’s nice too

As soon as he pressed send, he felt his eyelids begin to droop. He yawned, clumsily typing another message to the greenette.

Katsuki: I’m feelin sleepy…

Izuku: You should sleep! Maybe we can chat some more when you’re sober?

Katsuki: Yeah that sounds nice

Katsuki didn’t bother to see if Izuku replied as his eyes slid shut and he drifted off to sleep.

Katsuki woke the next morning with a low grunt, raising his head from the pillow he had buried it in at some point last night as his head began to throb painfully.

“Fuck...how much did I drink last night?” he mused.

He looked around at his surroundings, noting the empty beer cans and bags of chips that littered the small coffee table. Yawning, he sat up while nursing his head.

“Shit, I need some water and aspirin...” he grumbled.

Grabbing for his phone, he stood and walked over to the kitchen. He poured himself a glass of water and rummaged through the cabinets for a bottle of aspirin (he briefly wondered why the hell Shitty Hair didn’t just keep it in his bathroom’s medicine cabinet like a normal person), unscrewing the cap and placing two pills in his hand. Popping them into his mouth, he chased them down with the water.

The pain slowly subsided as he heard Eijirou humming some obnoxious pop song from down the hall.

So Shitty Hair’s awake, huh…

He took another sip from his glass of water as his phone dinged. Glancing down at his phone screen, he nearly spat out his water upon seeing an unfamiliar notification pop up.

“What the fuck? Matchmakr? Time to find some potential matches?” he wondered out loud.

Dread filled him as he unlocked his phone and went into the app that he knew for sure he didn’t have downloaded before.

Just what the hell did he do while he was drunk?

The app was redirected to the main menu and he was met with a picture of a blue-haired male named Michirou. He stared at the picture for a couple of minutes before it clicked.

“Wait just a fucking minute...did I sign myself up on a fucking dating app?!” he roared at the top of his lungs.

Panic flooded his system as he looked around on the app, eventually coming across a conversation he supposedly had last night with someone named Izuku. Seeing the drunken messages made his panic spike.

“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck…” he muttered under his breath as Eijirou poked his head into the kitchen.

“You good, man? You keep screaming a lot.” he said.

“Explain to me how the fuck this happened!” Katsuki shouted, shoving his phone into the redhead’s face.

Eijirou pulled Katsuki’s phone away from his face slightly so he could get a better look at the screen. He exited out of the conversation and was redirected to the main menu as he started laughing.

“So you found the app! Bro, you were so drunk and desperate that you went and tried to find someone new!” he said in between laughs.

“And you just let me do it?!” Katsuki roared.

“Yes! And damn, was it hilarious!” Eijirou said before dissolving into hysterical laughter, clutching his stomach as he tried not to fall over.

Katsuki snarled.

“I’m gonna fucking kill you!” he threatened.B

This only made Eijirou laugh harder.

“I’m sorry, I just can’t help but find this whole scenario extremely hilarious!” he said.

Katsuki glowered at him as he redirected his attention to his phone, going back into the conversation he was looking at earlier. The more he scrolled up, the more he wanted the ground to swallow him whole.

He was never drinking that much ever again.

“Come on, let’s go get breakfast! Maybe that’ll help distract you from your embarrassing venture into the online dating world.” Eijirou teased as he exited the kitchen.

“Don’t think I won’t kill you, Shitty Hair.” Katsuki barked out.

He glanced back down at his phone before releasing a deep sigh, exiting out of the app and running a hand through his hair.

Yes, Eijirou was right. Maybe he did need some breakfast along with a cup of coffee.

Or maybe a hundred.

After eating breakfast with Eijirou (and Mina, too), Katsuki found himself back at his apartment, preparing for another day at the fitness center he worked at.

No matter how much he tried to distract himself, he couldn’t help but mentally panic over what he did while he was drunk last night. Never in his wildest dreams did he think that he’d find himself in a situation like this.

As he threw his black tank top over his head, he glanced over at his phone, which sat atop his bed. His brows furrowed as he bore holes into the square cellular device.

“Matchmakr, huh…” he muttered.

He grabbed his phone and unlocked it, clicking on the app. As soon as the main menu popped up, he went into his messages and selected the conversation that he started with Izuku last night.

He scrolled through the conversation, reading each message properly this time.

“He likes All Might, too.” he commented.

He stopped scrolling up, choosing to click on Izuku’s icon. The app directed him to his profile and Katsuki’s breath caught in his throat at the sight that greeted him.

From his curly green hair to his viridian eyes, freckled cheeks, lean yet fit body, and dazzling smile, Izuku was very attractive. Katsuki usually had a thing for blonds (hence why he fell for Neito so hard), but the greenette was changing his mind very quickly on that front.

How could a guy look this good?

He proceeded to read through his bio.

“Huh...we seem to have a lot in common…” he mused.

As he went back to look through Izuku’s photos, he began to think.

This could be his chance. He could meet someone new and see if they click well enough for him to consider pursuing another relationship. It seemed like he was moving too fast, seeking out someone else so soon after breaking up with his high school sweetheart. But Katsuki felt that this could be the right decision.

Maybe getting an account on a dating app wasn’t as bad as he thought it would be.

Going back into their conversation, he noticed a message from Izuku that he didn’t see before.

Izuku: Cool! I’ll be waiting for your message, then! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Katsuki eyed the kaomoji in confusion.

“What the hell even is that…?” he muttered.

He glanced at the time.

“Shit, I’m going to be late.” he said, grabbing for his jacket and rushing out of the bedroom.

As he slipped on his black sneakers and headed out the door, he came to a decision: he’ll take the next step later in the evening.

Just as Katsuki told himself he would, he was seated on the couch with his dinner, staring at the conversation on his phone screen. He tapped the back of his phone as he furrowed his brows.

How the hell was he supposed to start this conversation?

The tapping grew persistent as he burned holes into his phone screen, popping a piece of chicken into his mouth. As he chewed, he typed out a message before deleting it. It continued like this for a few minutes before he groaned.

“What the fuck, how is it so hard to type a simple message? It wasn’t this hard when I texted Monoma for the first time…” Katsuki grumbled out.

He scowled at the thought of the other blond, bitterness flooding his taste buds as he swallowed. He bit into a piece of chicken with a green pepper, hoping that would combat the bitterness as he sighed.

“You know what, fuck it.” he typed again. “I’ll just send this and see if that’ll get a response.” he said, his thumb mashing the send button.

Katsuki: Hey, it’s me. You said you were waiting for my message so here it is.

Katsuki stared at his phone, waiting for a response. He continued to eat, the sounds from the television filling the space as he waited. When ten minutes passed without a response, numerous thoughts swam about in his head.

What the fuck? I thought he was waiting for my response. Wouldn’t he have responded right away if that were the case? Unless...he changed his mind and doesn’t want to talk to me anymore. Maybe he found someone else to chat with? Maybe—

His thoughts were cut off by a distinct chime from his phone. Katsuki grabbed for his phone quicker than he should have and looked down at the response Izuku sent him.

Izuku: Oh!!! Hi, Kacchan!! (*^ω^*) I’ve been waiting for your message (*^▽^*)

The first thing that caught Katsuki’s eye were the kaomojis in his message.

“He keeps using those emoticons, what the heck? It reminds me of Pinky…” he grumbled.

He then noticed the name that Izuku chose to address him. He arched a brow at this.

“What the…?” he mumbled as he typed out a response.

Katsuki: Kacchan? Who the fuck is that?

The greenette’s response was instant.

Izuku: You!

Katsuki nearly choked on a piece of green pepper.

What?!” he roared, slamming his chopsticks down on the coffee table as he hurriedly typed a response.

Katsuki: Are you blind?! My name is not Kacchan! It’s Bakugou! Bakugou Katsuki!

Izuku: I know that! It’s just...I like Kacchan more.

Katsuki: Why would you prefer that over my actual name?! Also, where the hell did that even come from?!

Izuku: You said it last night though? You kept insisting Kacchan was your name last night when we spoke…

“Huh? The hell is he going on about…?” he grumbled as he scrolled back up to the previous night’s messages for what seemed like the hundredth time today.

As he reread the messages, he saw what Izuku meant.

“Oh my fucking god.” he said.

Where in the world did his alcohol-ridden mind come up with the name Kacchan?!

Katsuki: I was clearly not in my right mind when I said that. Just forget I ever said that.

Izuku: But I like how Kacchan sounds! It’s cute  ^ ^

Izuku: If it’s alright with you...can I continue to call you that?

Katsuki: Whatever. Do whatever the hell you want.

Izuku: Okay! ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆

Katsuki snorted.

“There he goes again with those silly emoticons…” he mumbled under his breath.

He ate another piece of chicken as he typed out another message to the greenette.

Katsuki: What are you up to?

Izuku: Me? I’m trying to figure out what to eat for dinner now. I was making instant ramen but then I left it unattended for too long and now it’s burnt…

Katsuki blinked his eyes twice at the reply he received. Upon rereading it for the fifth time, he began to laugh.

“He burned instant ramen?!” he exclaimed in shock.

Thinking about it made him howl more with laughter, his plate of dinner forgotten as he typed a response out to him.

Katsuki: What the literal fuck?! Out of all the things you could burn, it’s instant ramen?! Shit, I can’t stop laughing. Why the fuck is this so funny

Izuku: Mean! I usually don’t burn instant ramen but tonight seems to be an exception o(╥﹏╥)o

Katsuki: You know what we call people like that? A Deku. You are a Deku, Deku.

Izuku: ∑(゚ロ゚〃)

Katsuki: Well, you’re calling me Kacchan, so I think it’s fair that I call you by something else, as well. So I think I’m gonna stick with Deku.

Izuku: You’re sullying my nickname 。゚・(>﹏<)・゚。

Izuku: My friend Uraraka also calls me that, but it means “you can do it!” instead…

Katsuki: Well, right now, it means useless in the kitchen. I’m sorry, but who the fuck burns instant ramen? A five year old could do better than you.

Katsuki: The Gordon Ramsey within me is crying tears of blood.

Izuku: The Gordon Ramsey within you?!

Katsuki: Yeah! I’m a seasoned cook, you know! Instant ramen is child’s play! Not sure if you read my bio, but I run a food blog on the side.

Izuku: Oh! I remember reading that! Maybe I’ll snoop about on there and up my cooking game...mind dropping me the link? I wanna check it out.

Katsuki: Sure, I’ll give it to you.

The rest of the evening progressed with them engaging in small talk. Katsuki thought for sure that he would grow tired of their conversation, but surprisingly enough, he was having fun. He was so caught up in debating over their favorite All Might hero suit that he failed to notice how late it was until he let out a yawn.

“Ugh, I feel tired…” he mumbled under his breath as he looked at the time on his phone.

His eyes widened in shock.

“Holy fuck, it’s that late already?!” he shouted.

He was bewildered by how much time had passed while talking with Izuku as he typed out a message to him.

Katsuki: Shit, have you seen the time?? It’s almost half past eleven.

Izuku: Wait, seriously?! Oh my god, we’ve been talking for four hours 😂

Izuku: I have an early start tomorrow, so I’m gonna head in now. Thanks for chatting with me, it was fun (*^ω^*)

Katsuki: I liked chatting with you too, nerd. I also have an early start, so I’ll head in too.

Izuku: Alright. Would you...be willing to chat again sometime?

Katsuki: Sure. You can hit me up whenever you want, I’ll respond.

Izuku: Okay! You can do the same for me ^ ^

Izuku: I hope you have a good night, Kacchan! Sleep well.

Katsuki: Thanks. I hope you have a good night, too.

Katsuki exited out of the app and stretched, blinking his eyes tiredly.

“Time for bed…” he mumbled.

After washing his dishes, he settled himself in bed, letting his mind be invaded by curly green hair, viridian eyes, and freckled cheeks as he drifted off to sleep.
