Emery Walsh returns from vacation to find that PTMC's emergency department has a brand new attending physician: charismatic, cooperative, and with a voice sweet like honey that Emery can't seem to get out of her mind, no matter how much she despises sweet things. She finds herself drifting towards the ED before and after her shift, if just to catch a short conversation with the new attending.
Baran Al-Hashimi is trying to carve her place in the emergency department as a reliable and caring attending, which means cooperation with all of the staff.
