“It’s tempting. It’s too tempting to trust and yet, Megumi finds himself fantasizing about a life where Satoru would be out and about with Nanako and Mimiko running freely around him. Tsumiki would be trailing behind him along with himself, just absorbing their surroundings and enjoying each other’s presence. The fantasy shattered into reality in a flash as memories of the white haired male rotting away on their couch filled his mind once again. Whether it was due to Toji leaving them again or Toji dragging him through yet another “punishment”, it would always end the same. Satoru would be unable to bring himself to eat, move, sleep, or even wash himself. It’s tempting to think about a life where he could just simply be without having the responsibility of always finding food, clothes, and having to babysit the twins and Satoru when he’s in his moods. He can’t even remember if there was such a time where he felt like his home was an actual home instead of a prison that had him chained to the wellbeing of five other people.”
