Summary
V2 wanders through the layers of Hell, fighting off machines, demons, and sparing chance encounters with the mysterious V1. As V2 fights and banters with V1, he becomes more and more obsessed with outdoing and impressing him, desperately pursuing him through the layers just to prove he's the superior V model. V1 reciprocates this, viewing V2 as an annoying brat who can't handle being beaten. He just has to show the amateur how it's done. They both claim to do it out of hatred and disdain for eachother, but there's something deeper here. If you truly hate someone, surely you would want to be as far as possible away from them, right? Your relationship would be a mess of pain and anguish, and both parties would want nothing to do with each other. But no, they relish in the thought of either one's destruction. They see eachother in a fated duel, one to triumph over the other and prove himself superior. Neither can exist without the other, one must be inferior. Despite what they may believe, they're perfect for eachother. After all, they are one in the same.
btw if you couldn't guess, V2 lives past 4-4 this time around.

Summary
Sometime during their unstoppable descent into the realm of the damned, it became apparent to V1 that they are merely a chess piece, moving at the hands of an unseen player; one that is swiftly closing in on the other for a resounding checkmate. At the very end of Hell, Gabriel loses his final match with the machine that unwittingly broke the shackles he had noticed far too late.
Rather than putting an end to his existence, V1 instead takes the opportunity to shatter the board and stop the game.
In the aftermath, both machine and archangel are left standing in the settling dust of the collapsed echelons of creative order. But a scorched earth isn't always the end. Something will eventually grow from the ashes of utter destruction, if given the chance.

"I'll be fine. It's not a big deal," she attempts to downplay. "Besides, I've got a decade of junk in here. You'd never get through it, and who knows what type of compatibility issues you'd have to struggle with trying to organize them all?
"Let me try, at least."
