Cherry sighed irritably, glancing at the clock even as he snapped, “Carla, what time is it?”
“It is 11:37 pm, Master.”
“Where the hell is Kojiro?” Cherry muttered.
“I do not know, Master.”
“Oh,” Cherry startled slightly, embarrassed. “I wasn’t…” With another sigh he gave up. “Thank you, Carla.”
“You’re welcome, Master.”
Cherry looked at the clock again, like somehow it would have some answer besides just the current time.

Katsuki woke up that morning with swollen, red eyes. He sighed loudly and rubbed his eyes, which didn’t help the pain in his eyes or his head. Katsuki never found apologies to come easy to him, but he figured he should apologize to his boyfriend for their argument the other night. They had a child on the way, the surrogate seemed excited for them, and so did their friends. Something as stupid as an argument was not anything to throw that all away over.
