"A shaking breath rattled Perth's ribcage as he staggered out of the mines. He'd forgotten how overwhelming the slimes get when in the middle of their territory, half of them the same height as he was and more than ready to try and suffocate him in their own bodies. Still wearily picking slime out of his hair on his way back home, he could barely see a few feet in front of himself. The snow was doing him no favors, and he was half-conscious, eyes squinting to see through the weak blizzard as well as the dark, his softly glowing ring practically making things worse as it glinted off the flurrying snow. Then he heard a voice, just moments after he felt cobblestone under his boots beneath the snow."
Perth should've checked the weather this morning - thankfully, he has a handful of people who care enough to go looking for him.
