Summary
He has to get on the bus alone, ignoring the polite smiles of the ahjummas who are only smiling at him because he’s in uniform. The uniform isn’t worthy of their smiles, anyway. They smile at him and they don’t know it’s choking him.
They smile at him and they don’t know that he’s so close to being able to breathe. Just for one night. Just today and tomorrow, until they’re shipping him off to god-knows-where.
Or: Jihoon comes home for his first break since enlisting and Mingyu tries to make the most of their short time together.

Summary
The owner at the good-bagels bodega knows that Wonwoo doesn’t want cheese on his breakfast sandwich, and the Thai restaurant always gets morning deliveries at 8:45am, except when there’s traffic on the way into the city and then the delivery doesn’t come until 9.
Every weekday, he walks down the same street and sees the same places. The same owner at the same bodega.
Except today. Because his legs decided that he would get off at someone else’s stop, and live through someone else’s day instead.
Or: Wonwoo accidentally stalks the pretty boy from the subway and he reacts accordingly (he freaks out).

Summary
He had thought about it a lot, in the beginning. How he would react when Mingyu finally came back. What it would be like. What he might say.
At some points, he thought maybe he would cry. Finally, in a way he hadn’t in so long. At other points, he thought maybe he would yell. Shout all of the things he never got to say when he let Mingyu walk out the door. He thought maybe he would tell Mingyu how unfair it was, that Mingyu decided their future for them.
He’d thought about it a lot. Daydreamed, even. Of the things he may finally say to Mingyu.
But Jihoon’s stuck in place, shoes all but glued to the sticky bar floor as Mingyu stands in front of him, brown eyes as soft and warm as they always were, with his words all dried up in his throat.
Or: Mingyu comes back. He’s the same, but nothing is the same at all.

Summary
“I’m Mingyu,” the man - Mingyu - says, holding out his hand for Jihoon to shake tentatively. His hands are strong, calloused. Quite the opposite of Jihoon’s – Jihoon is clearly made for a life indoors. “Do you need help getting somewhere?”
“Uh … No,” Jihoon says, a little too quickly to seem true. Mingyu raises an eyebrow, like he doesn’t quite believe him. “It’s under control,” he tacks on, hoping he sounds convincing.
“Are you sure? You’re kind of standing in a bush.”
Or: Jihoon embarrasses himself in front of the hot park ranger so he fucks the hot park ranger about it.

Summary
Jun said he should start with ditching the dorky glasses. That maybe it would help. But Wonwoo needs the dorky glasses to see, so that strategy is out of the question.
Instead, he comes to what he considers to be a fool proof plan for becoming Joshua’s 8th best friend.
Or: Joshua is obsessed with his MySpace Top 8. Wonwoo is obsessed with Joshua.

Summary
Mingyu is beautiful.
Jihoon knows this, has never been under any false pretenses about it. Mingyu is pretty, the sky is blue, and Jihoon wants him all to himself.
Perhaps it’s selfish, or greedy, or even megalomaniacal to want all of it. Mingyu is so beautiful that, sometimes, Jihoon thinks the idea of Mingyu belonging to someone is unfair to the rest of the world. It would be an absence, a deep cavern of loss where Mingyu once stood. Jihoon won’t do it.

Summary
Wonwoo wakes before the kettle. This, already, is unusual.
He’s beautiful in a way that’s uncomfortable. Delicate—all soft angles and stillness—he doesn’t seem to mind being seen. Or stared at. Which Wonwoo must be doing. He's been trying to catalogue how the man's hair keeps dripping down his temples, the droplets disappearing before they hit his shoulders. Wonwoo cannot figure out for the life of him, if the glow is coming from somewhere inside the man or if the air around simply remembers to shine.

Summary
Hansol dreams of a longer summer or perhaps, ideally, a summer that never ends.
Tour is weird like that, everything exists in this liminal space that feels inaccessible unless you’re nineteen, in a band with your best friends and on the biggest rock festival in North America.
The sun is perfectly warm, final rays of goodbye painting everything golden. The sky is a scene stolen straight out of an impressionist painting, the grass is a vivid green tinted yellow and slightly prickly under the palm of his band. The fields of tulips are in full bloom all around them, and among all the blooming flowers is Jeonghan.
Or Hansol and Jeonghan's doomed summer romance.
Or The mortifying ordeal of being nineteen.

Summary
“I’m so sorry,” Joshua says, rolling himself up into a sitting position. His limbs still feel heavy and slow, following his brain’s directions half a second behind the beat. The muscles in his shoulders feel stretched out, unknotted. Languid. It’s the unfamiliar feeling of having slept for as long as your body needs to sleep. “I didn’t mean to do that.”
Joshua cannot sleep, unless he's in Minghao's bed. It's kind of ruining his life.
