2 weeks after Annabel left Lenore at the finger lakes and 1 week after Annabel had gone missing, presumed dead, a unique gentleman with an alabaster complexion arrives at the finger lakes cottage and asked for Lady Lenore by name. The maids, excited that this could be the time Lenore will no longer be grieving the sudden loss of her companion but they are understandably skeptic of the mysterious Englishman at the foyer and his true intentions for their lady of the house...

“Little girls shouldn’t have to worry about slaying dragons and saving maidens,” Daddy laughs, ruffling her hair, and he misses what his words mean to her in that moment. Cassandra doesn’t want to slay dragons, she wants to befriend dragons, and if saving maidens is a part of the job too, why can’t she? What does being a girl or a boy have to do with it anyway?
“But…” She pouts. “But maybe somewhere there’s a little girl who could be, right, Daddy?”
