Time seemed to slow down as a single raindrop fell onto his outstretched hand.
Feng Xin felt a shift in the air.
And then he felt a shift inside him.
Too late.
He had been too late...
His mouth formed around tempered words, fabricated to aim at Mu Qing‘s heart.
He wanted to scream. He desperately wanted to regain his control and close the space between the both of them. He wanted to take Mu Qing into his arms and make all the troubles disappear like they never even existed.
But Feng Xin couldn‘t.
He couldn‘t!
Or: Mu Qing gets himself poisoned by a mysterious creature that transmits a vicious curse while at the same time he and Feng Xin are trying to get closer to each other.
