It's all Ryan's fault that Butcher's stuck with this pathetic little piece of shite, now that Homelander's lost his powers. Just because the soft wee lad can't bear to see one dad kill another. Something something trauma. As if this whole family isn't any therapist's wet dream - the rational part of his brain knows they should all go to therapy, whatever good that's gonna do. But he's only go so much time left. And he's only promised Ryan to keep that snivelling twat alive, not that he wouldn't make him suffer.

At a point when he escaped captivity, Homelander finds himself lost and oddly enough, missing one particular ability. Of course, it’s not just about his powers, but if he could somehow get at least one, he wants it back. He just wants to fly again.
