“I- I just… you know, there’s…” Will’s voice almost faded, and his cheeks became slightly red. Nobody noticed, except for Mike, who fell completely silent.
“It better be important, Will, otherwise me and Dustin are gonna steal every action figure in your room!”
Dustin and Steve’s conversation stopped abruptly, both focusing their attention on Will. Jonathan looked away, hoping to lift some tension from his brother, who clearly hated to be the centre of attention.
Will took a deep breath and tightened the hold on the cup of water. Then, slowly lifting his gaze, he slowly began talking.
“I’m… I’m trying to learn it because I, uh, I’m corresponding. I have… a pen friend. From Italy. It’s… yeah, it’s an Italian guy. His name’s Alex, short for Alessandro.”.
