“Cursed?!” Raph was definitely panicking now, but Donnie didn’t know how he could help when his own panic had begun to set in too. “Do— Do ya know what kind? Can we break it?”
Wordlessly, Donnie removed his goggles and held them out for Raph to see for himself.
“This… this can’t be right,” Raph laughed humorlessly. “I mean, we can’t— I can’t… Fuck, Donnie.”
Raph removed the goggles, staring down at him in horror, and all Donnie could manage was a weak smirk.
“Do you think he knew we were brothers when he cast it?”

Classic 'fuck or die' scenario with Raph and Donnie, except in the aftermath, Donnie is desperate to relive the experience — even at the expense of his relationship with his brother.

The loss of Donnie was a heavy blow to Leo’s already fragile psyche. Think less of the straw that broke the camel's back, and more of picking the camel up and throwing it off a cliff.

Donnie is gone. For the first time since taking up the mantle of leading the resistance, Leo is utterly unable to function. There is nothing he can do but think about Donnie, what they were, and what they could have been.
