Summary
Post-canon fic were Ivan actually did survive!
Ivan survived and was healed by the scientists at ANAKT, but was taken by human rebel forces before he could have been sent back to his alien owner. Seven years passes and he's turned into a vital asset to his rebel group, albeit cold and bent on revenge towards aliens and another rebel group that caused the Great Tragedy. One day he just so happens to run into one of their members whose been giving him the silent treatment. The guy irritates and excites him to no end, both helping and sabotaging each other along the way. Little do either of them know that they are both what they have been mourning for/love all this time.

Till looked back and holy crap. His nose bent beautifully into his peachy lips. His silver hair was tousled by the wind and he almost looked perfect. He turned back and looked at Ivan for a moment. Ivan felt so important in Till's gaze.

Still, that did not excuse how he avoided the medical building - or the way his gaze skittered from the medics’ disapproving eyes, or why he ran from Mizi. Till had come to the realisation that he was exactly the sort of coward he had always denied he was - the sort of creature whose response was to flee, flee, flee. Till found that he could not escape fear. Before, he had met it head on; he had fought, bruised, screamed himself hoarse. He had done so to survive - and in that case, fear had been something he cradled close to keep him going.
Now that he was in a place in which survival was something provided rather than something impossible and glorified, his fear took the form of the person in the medical wing.
