Summary
That wasn’t Tsukasa’s issue. No, it was rather the boy sitting directly across from him, who bore the same features, but much sharper eyes, piercing his skin with yellow hues that told him to back out of the project then and there.
“Tsukasa Tenma, lead model of the project and representative of Eternals. It’s a pleasure to meet the both of you.”
“Rui Kamishiro, head of the technological advancements department at Kamiros Labs. It’s nice to meet you as well, Tenma-san.”
Tsukasa gulped, shifting his gaze away. But no matter how hard he looked away, he knew he couldn’t run any longer. This was no longer a cruel trick played on him by the Sekai. This was the real deal, and maybe there were some underlying problems that needed to be handled first.

“Myth or not, I want to protect you!” he began, using his other hand to splay across his chest. “I’ve been raised since I was young to always carry an umbrella in hand and to stay with others during storms. I refuse to let you become a victim to such heinous creatures! I don’t particularly know what they do but… I know it’s bad, and I don’t want that for you, Rui.”
The director had to take in a deep breath, gaze turning into something soft. Lifting their hands, he placed a small kiss on the top of Tsukasa’s hand and sighed, shaking his head in a lighthearted manner.
“No matter what I do, Tsukasa-kun is going to say things that make me breathless, huh?” he chuckled. With his free hand, he raised a palm to touch the blonde’s cheek. “I get it though… I too want to protect Tsukasa-kun. I’ve never believed in these umbrella fiends, but I do believe in my star. If it truly makes you feel better to be here, then I have no quarrels.”

“If you need help planning a super awesome date plan then leave it to me!” Saki cheered, the energy from before returning as her ears perked back up. She reached out and grabbed onto Rui, pulling him inside the house (the method was rather awkward with him having to bend his entire body in half to fit inside, but it wasn’t the worse he supposed). “Oniichan and I share manga all the time, so we can just use a bunch of those troupes!”
“I’m getting a weird sense of deja vu from this…” Rui nervously chuckled.

He felt like he was supposed to meet him, somewhere else, and in other circumstances. Maybe that way, they would've been great friends to each other.

Tsukasa’s out of breath, panting a little with exertion as he leans against the doorway of Rui’s classroom with one hand. He must’ve sprinted over between classes for whatever it is he seems to need him for, Rui observes, curious.
He turns in his chair to face his visitor. “Tsukasa-kun? What brings you here?”
“…Do you by chance have your gym uniform today?” Tsukasa asks.
Rui tilts his head. Tsukasa’s face is strained, as if he’s about to do something he really doesn’t want to do.
“I do, but I’m not sure I follow.”
“Can I borrow it?”
Or, the chronicles of Tsukasa stealing Rui’s clothes (whether it be purposefully or otherwise).

Tsukasa lets out a genuine laugh. “We sing and dance to heavy choreography for a living, and this is what we call dancing?” Tsukasa asks, with mirth in his eyes.
“My dear, this is the highest form of showmanship there is, dare I say,” Rui plays along. “Two slow dancers intertwined with their whole heart and soul. The physicality is nothing but a projection of the inside. Our hearts are dancing, Tsukasa-kun.” Rui rests his chin on Tsukasa’s shoulder. “The greatest show you could ever witness.”
