Summary
Consciousness came back in drops, for Simon. It lapped at the corners of his senses like waves, brushing over the rolls of his brain and coaxing his body’s inner mechanisms to rise again. He wasn’t yet awake enough to question how it was that he was able to wake up or where it was that he was waking up. Not quite coherent enough for questions as of yet.
Simon is found, inexplicably, in the vast nothingness of space. Grace wants to be happy about the human contact after so long, but as always, humanity proves complicated.

Being on your phone while driving is still, of course, a punishable offense by law within Twisted Wonderland. Luckily, nowhere did this say it applied to driving a broom, so Skipper had no issue with checking the phone, even if the pizzas in his delivery bag were starting to look a little close to going vertical.
