Summary
“Bed thirteen,” Dana says, handing it back over.
“Fifty-nine-year-old male with abscess," Cassie reads vacantly. Looking back up, “You know retaliation is illegal, right?”
“And what exactly would I be retaliating for, Dr. McKay?”
Dana finally meets her eyes, everything about her walled off. Cassie’s own anger stirs, an ignition low in her chest as she fights every urge not to roll her eyes. “You tell me,” she mutters, walking away before Dana can respond.

Summary
As Namjoon stood slightly removed from the scene, bemusedly watching the six-year-olds swarm around his cooler (which he had borrowed from his mom), he didn’t even notice that someone had sidled up next to him until he heard the tiny, but undoubtedly exasperated, huff.
He followed the sound, turning his head to the right. A guy was standing there, arms crossed, lips pursed. He let out another huff, louder this time, but only slightly.
Namjoon refused to acknowledge him. What the fuck was this guy’s deal? Was he really that bitter that his six-year-old just lost a soccer game for six-year-olds?
One more huff from the guy.
He was beginning to think this guy’s lips were just perpetually pursed and would simply never, ever unpurse themselves, when he, the guy, finally unpursed his lips to speak.
“I just think it’s pretty irresponsible to bring Gatorade to a soccer game for first graders,” he said, huffily, “No offense.”

Lin always woke up early. It didn’t seem to matter how late she went to sleep, or how tired she was. Every morning without fail she always awoke just before the sun rose.

Summary
Cassie rolls her eyes dramatically, then reaches up to yank at the long, straight curtain of her own hair where it spills over her shoulders. It's damp from the shower she just finished, dark strands dripping a small wet patch into the back of her sweatshirt. “Actually," she says, "I was coming to complain."
"Oh, good," Dana replies dryly although she doesn't look particularly put out. Her eyes track every little movement of Cassie’s like she doesn’t even realize she’s doing it, constantly taking in new information. "My favorite."

Summary
Cassie walks toward her with that steady, overconfident walk of most doctors Dana knows, like she already knows the outcome of any argument she gets herself into. "Come to the couch. Unless you're saying you don't want a massage."
Dana's body reacts before her brain can, anticipation blooming low in her stomach and a softening of her tense muscles that she hasn't earned and doesn't know how to accept. Dana scoffs to hide the provocative images that immediately come to mind. "Hon, you don't have to do that."
