Summary
He had been wrong. He'd mistaken titan-ravaged lands for hell, and now he knew what it looked like. Hell wasn't death. Hell was surviving the man you'd followed into damnation, knowing you'd follow him again tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow, this ruinous love that had nowhere else to exist.

Summary
Erwin Smith’s dragon-fighting bust is front-page news. He has several key players in custody and enough evidence to put the owner away for the rest of his unnatural life. All Erwin has to do is convince a violent, ill-tempered drake to give him a statement—preferably without killing anyone, burning Erwin’s house down or falling in love with him. But when the federal government shows up demanding that Erwin turn Levi over for immediate euthanasia, the only way to protect his witness may end up killing them both.

Summary
“So, where would you go? If the war was over?”
Erwin’s eyes dulled, drifting to a far-off place unreachable by Levi.
“I would get a house,” he said quietly. “Somewhere in the country, similar to my childhood home. There’d be no one for miles, only fields of grass, glinting in the sun and tossed by the waves of wind. In the winter, the sky would be illuminated by snowdrifts, and you’d hear every flake meet the ground. The stars would be so bright, thousands littered across the heavens. You’re mesmerized by the stars here? Out of city interference, they’d shine so bright you’d think you’re dreaming.”
“You don’t think you’d get bored? Or lonely out there all alone?”
“Alone?” Erwin chuckled, resting his head against his hand. “Of course not.” His eyes rose to Levi’s. “I’d bring you with me.”Bookmarked by foloyuka
