Summary
It has been seven years since Harry Potter died and Voldemort won. In that time, the remaining members of the Order have fought on, Hermione leading the resistance in Harry’s name and Severus continuing to spy from Hogwarts. But all the fight has brought them is failure, and despair, and death.
For Severus and Hermione, their one solace has been each other. As the risks have grown, though, even those stolen moments have become harder and harder to find.
After a night together ends in near disaster, Hermione is left with a consequence she did not expect. She knows she needs to tell Severus, but is terrified of adding yet another burden to his shoulders.
