Summary
It's been five years since Link and Zelda defeated Calamity Ganon. Most of the world is recovering and in good working order with Zelda creating a Court of other world leaders to rebuild Hyrule. But the heroes get a shock when the Goddesses allow a fragment of Ganon to be reborn from the wilds. He is harmless, without power, and without the Triforce.
Ganon remembers that he did something bad, evil even, but he can't understand why he ever did it. All he wants now is to be allowed to live his life in peace- but Hyrule won't let him forget. This is supposed to be his second chance at living a better life. He's forced to do the only thing he can think of to make a living. Be at the beck and call of those who want to use him.
Link has been having a hard time since the end of the Calamity. How do you reconcile all the pressure put on you at such a young age to save the world? Zelda keeps looking at him with so much hope that he'll 'remember how they were'. With so much pressure, Link can't help falling into the arms of someone he should hate. Someone who is at a loss in this world the same as him. Someone who knows what it's like to have everyone expect you to be something you can't even remember.

Link explores The Depths under Hyrule when he is ambushed by two Yiga Footsoldiers and is sorely unprepared for a fight! Hoping that it will make the two Yiga members battle each other and allow him to escape, he uses a Muddlebud, and gets caught in the explosion of pollen with his attackers. However, he soon discovers that the flower has a much different effect on humans that it does on monsters, and learns a little bit about himself as a result.
