Summary

Penitent is the story of two men doing difficult work — some of it in session, most of it in the spaces between. It moves non-linearly through Bruce's eleven-month contract, Clark's formation as a Dom and survivor, and the slow, brutal, necessary business of one person learning to return another person's body and mind to themselves.
This is not a love story disguised as kink. This is kink as the mechanism by which a love story becomes possible.
