Summary
Max had known Charles really for as long as he could remember. He had been a friend, a rival, and everything in between. Charles was always the one he felt he could really race against. He was also the one that would always listen to his ramblings. Lately, however, Max started feeling something— different, something new. He wasn’t sure what made it change, but Max can’t help but get butterflies in his stomach when Charles is around. It’s stupid, really, and incredibly inconvenient. But Max can’t stop it, can't stop himself from staring at the way Charles’ eyes light up when he laughs, the way his dimples pop out when he smiles.

When the drivers do a secret santa, a special gift from Charles sends Max into a spiral. But maybe at the end of the spiral, they could find love?

Summary
When Charles awoke on the 23rd of December, he curled to the side, trying to nuzzle into the man lying beside him. Only, there was no man lying beside him, and there hasn’t been for quite some time now. It takes some getting used to, being alone. When the whole ‘girl’ thing started, it was an inside joke between Charles and Carlos. But here Charles is, 5 months later, standing outside Carlos’ door with a practiced full face and a cute girly outfit. Carlos is obviously into the girl version of Charles, but could Carlos also like the real him, maybe even love him? Charles really isn’t sure, and it’s driving him sort of crazy.

The feeling of helplessness and frustration from the collision is still loitering in Charles’ mind, and eventually he just can’t lay there and marinate in it.
Charles isn’t sure what he’s really looking for as he finds out which hotel Redbull is staying at and orders an uber to the address. Maybe it’s an apology, or an acknowledgment, or maybe he just wants to yell and shout.
