After each new Loki S2 episode I like to rewrite an imagining I normally have where instead of the normal progression, Loki and Mobius somehow get together instead. This is the result of such efforts. Each are standalone and are not sequels of each other, just diverges from the episode tagged.

Summary
“You’re no analyst.”
Mobius sounds stunned. They are not aligned, they are not in tandem. But there are wistful glimmers of what is now agonisingly out of reach.
“No," Loki admits, eyes unable to settle on the Mobius that isn’t his. "I’m not.”
“Who are you then, really? Cos it sounds like you've been making some waves and not just around these parts.”
Head resting against the wall, Loki lets his hands hang loose over his knees. They droop with his resigned realisation.
“It doesn’t matter who I am.”
A breathless laugh slips out of Mobius as he shakes his head. Somehow, there's warmth in it.
“Oh, it matters. It - it definitely matters."
This is what remains.
