Summary
Even the most cheerful, resilient people sometimes falter. He didn’t sign up for this, after all, and he’s so tired.
Or, a tender, bittersweet moment as Shunsui holds Jushiro and offers him a chance to be less optimistic than he shows the world, a chance to fall apart just a little, without judgment. He thinks back on other times they’ve had this same conversation over the years, and all the things he should’ve said differently. He still doesn’t find a way to help as much as he’d like.

Summary
Most people, Ayame had found, reacted in some way to pain. Even if it was slight, subconsciously their reiatsu tended to spike or shiver in anticipation, even without fear. To be so accustomed to pain that it garnered no response at all, that it was entirely expected and unremarkable—that was something they’d never seen before.
Or, one of the Fourth Division's nobodies is tasked with the care of a certain patient, and finds themself intrigued by his unshakably sunny demeanor.
Takes place between Soul Society and Arrancar arcs.

Summary
After the hard road from Weathertop to the Bruinen, Frodo begins to heal with the help of the Elves. Sam, refusing to leave his side, watches the Elves work and imagines all the foreign medicines and foods that must be grown in Rivendell's gardens. The Elven healer who attends Frodo humors Sam's questions and doesn't pressure him to leave his master's side, even brings him food and encourages him to rest—which is strange, because Sam is beginning to suspect the healer is someone rather more important than he'd initially assumed.

Doflamingo's defeated, and Dressrosa is newly free — and Law's hallucinating now. Great. Except...if he's not, then he's got a new reason to hate Doflamingo.
Also, Bepo takes offense to the papers saying he's some sort of mascot for the Heart Pirates. If anything, Roci-san is closer to a mascot, but they've also all decided that if Captain's long-lost guardian is here then he's getting adopted into their found family too.

Summary
After the Éothéod revolt against the Wainriders, the northern tribes seek to form strong alliances with their neighbors. Lord Frumgar tasks his son Fram to lead the delegation to Imladris. With him, he brings gold, fine horses, and two young thralls chosen by his father to be given to Lord Elrond himself. Elrond is conflicted to say the least.
Regardless, an alliance must be struck. Prince Fram brings news of darkness spreading across Rhovanion which is already leaking up into Greenwood. Elrond fears it will soon reach Imladris. Once more, Elves and Men must put aside their differences and unite...or fall.

Olruggio will certainly not let her in if she knocks, since it’s late and Master Olly is especially exasperated about Agott’s tendency to all-nighters, but Agott needs this mentorship now. It’s probably best to invite herself in.
Probably. Worst case scenario, Olruggio is in the middle of something very important and bothering him topples the whole tower down and Professor Qifrey decides it’s vital that Agott be lectured about respecting space and private time. As if Agott doesn’t understand the concept! Just, sometimes things are emergencies.
Sometimes, one's lover's student needs someone to explain love to her, and that can't wait until after a deadline.

“Carpal tunnel on the elbows and wrist, and tightness on the shoulders.” Deanreldy said. “Signs of strain on the median nerve, all the way up to the neck tendons.” Deanreldy sounded conversational, even casual. “I suppose the calluses on your hands can also be easily explained… or perhaps, they come from using magic?”
In an instant, Beldaruit recoiled. He slapped aside Deanreldy’s hands, twisting his entire body away. “Is this part of your scheme? Stop this at once! I refuse to be your specimen!”
Deanreldy was too clever by half. If he allowed the king to continue, Beldaruit feared that his body would somehow betray their witchly secrets. It was easy enough to hide his fear with anger, although part of the anger was directed at himself. He had let down his guard.
After the disastrous meeting, Deanreldy visits Beldaruit in private to tend to his wounds.
